The back window on the 4Runner rolls down as well. I just sold my 4Runner and bought the new 2021 Land Cruiser Heritage Edition and I miss that feature but I have found that the exhaust finds its way into the cabin when I do that...and, when I'm accessing the rear to grab stuff, I open the lift gate anyway. So, on the one hand it's nice but it really didn't provide much use for me.
my dad has an 04 tundra that does the same thing he got both my hands stuck in it once when we got home and he was rolling all the windows up lol but other than that 5 stars 💀

Purchased the 08 new when it came out and drove it 9 years (a record for me) traded it in on a 17 Yukon XL Denali and liked the Yukon, but missed the rear glass feature. 3 years later went back to Sequoia (2010 Limited). Just biding my time until late 2022 when the new sequoia will supposedly launch. If it’s anything like the Tundra, then TTV6 is the power plant ( no V8). Will probably give it some time and try to buy one after 1st year. Will definitely miss the V8 sound, but will appreciate the improved fuel/towing expected from the new power train.
JBL system garbage sound like 90x stereo lol….. & this big thirsty i mean for gas oversize load lol not worth it 65k(( interior very cheap looking too many plastics((

Chevy ' 6.2 v8 gets better mileage, has more power, and reliability is just as good if not better. That's why they're scrapping the 5.7. People weren't buying it due to poor mileage. I agree though, the new turbo engine will be a disaster. Toyota/lexus is going through some rough times.
Your zonks were all legit EXCEPT for that engine Joe. No one looking at these is worrying about mileage any way. Great review and camera work as always!
Comes with a Torsen center diff in 4WL, so no binding at all when in tight turns on dry pavement, acts like an AWD system. My wife never takes it out of 4WL in the MN winters. You can push button lock the center diff, so it becomes 4x4 and should only be used off road or vey low traction conditions. Also comes standard with a 4.30 gears so it tows with ease. Also comes double wishbone suspension, only SUV with that design so it tows and handles pretty nimble for a tank.

A Toyota does not make things half powered and second even on a 60k vehicle, if is not powered Toyota would not waste time and money by putting a switch in there. Hey. I have a Toyota 06 Sienna van. Still rides and handles like new. With up keep. But would be nice to have a van u can tow stuff with ! Yes expensive- better than other crappy cars. That don’t last. Had to rent a Dodge van recently. Lol crap next to mine.

you can get Toyota reliablity in a used $20k 4Runner. For $65k you can get a X5, GLE, GV80 etc which are way more luxurious, more tech, better look, better performance
BTW, the tailgate can be opened & closed from the cockpit, there is a button to the left of the steering wheel. Additionally there is another secret stach area, the double cup holders in front of the center console can be removed for added storage or small items like cash , cr cards can stowed under it.
That center console/infotainment/climate control user interface is horrible for the $$$. And you're right...No TRD badge on the front dash? ZONK. No anchovies.

Look at the Nissan frontier and how affordable it was due to the fact that it was about 15 years old. That's a near equivalent in terms of technology and seasoned parts, except Toyota sells their name for a huge premium

The sequoia or land cruiser need to die and they need to consolidate both into 1 vehicle with all the trim levels and options from 50k to 85k. The way they segment the two big suvs makes no sense and the RND cost for two separate vehicles for one role just makes this impossible to stay competitive, vs gm who makes 1 vehicle for 6 roles

You are right and it is seriously better than vehicles in which you have to open the rear glass like a separate boot thing(ish).

This is actually a SUV I would consider, a vehicle to pull the boat with 4×4 and plenty of room. Looks like a great option Joe.

Rented a Sequoia in 2019 for a long weekend. Best vehicle I've ever driven in my life. If I hit the Lotto this year, THIS is what I would buy.

Look back at this video, the 2023 sequoia really missed mark regarding the interior space…. For both 3rd row and trunk space.
