You cant speak for all women, what ever complaints you have you cant deny some issues have gotten better thanks to 3rd wave feminism and the me too movement
To me it seems that 3rd wave was more about gender norms being broken by women. I for one think that's a great thing. I would just want the men to be able to do the same. Why is it that women can wear trousers but men can't wear skirts? Things like that should be our focus. Cause isn't it obvious that equality means that you could be any gender and perform any genderrelated action with the same result? (And please keep in mind that I'm not talking about biological sex here. It is about concepts, ways of conduct, character traits, clothes, relationships etc. Not about the body.)
Thanks for vid. All must regester for draft and if unable to complete the front line standard PT requirements, all must face the same penalty. That wld be equal. So what freedoms do men have now that women dont?
This gets the 4th wave totally wrong. 4th wave is "i don't need no man" and "i'm better than any man". 20 years in the military showed me first hand that women can't carry their share of the load in the field. They are great for administrative, medical and other support jobs. But terrible at slogging through the mud for long distances.
Yeah, I don't see feminism being relevant in the West in the 21st century. There are still areas in the world where equal rights between sexes aren't met, obviously, but I don't understand young women's fixation on feminism nowadays.
@@nackedgrils9302 Honestly, I am just starting to wonder why the obsession is who holds more power these days, women or men? Honestly, I would think equality is fine, but I see feminism nowadays wanting to rule the men for some reason. I do not know if that is correct, but it is what I keep seeing everywhere. It is also what made me hate women as a preteen. Imagine hating yourself. I did not hate myself. I just hated that the power hungry women were giving women a bad name. It honestly made me ashamed to be a female until I decided to be different from them and show my drive for equality for both sexes and not just power. I learned today that I’m a first wave feminist and most likely 2nd wave lol it seems to me it started as a great thing and then as it made all the reasonable people happy, the movement/cause was still a vehicle for change because of its success and the next most reasonable or popular faction among the movement becomes the prevailing agenda moving forward, until that set is happy and then the next most reasonable group takes over the movement and it eventually gets to the point where the agenda is so unreasonable that it has exceeded what is reasonable in the collective conscience thereby creating greater and greater pushback until the movement is so lost it crashes and burns. I’m not saying this is only characteristic of feminism, however it is the first movement where I’ve noticed this pattern I believe it is most likely the same situation for other social/civil type movements. I think we need to be mindful of this in order to get to the point where the reasonable disaffected group gets their solution and peace so that they can be firm in closing the door behind them so to speak. I think all political philosophy can go to far, you can certainly go too far in any given direction, id say it’s conceivable you can even go to far center, and it should be rather obvious that at some point any political movement can decay into no longer being a positive or beneficial thing at all. Just exercising my mind on here folks, not saying any of this is set in stone, just exploring ideas. God bless Y’all have a great day week month and year:)
Excellent post! I agree that this same thought process can be applied to most social movements. The problem is that these movements usually inspire a cottage industry of "consultants" that make BIG $$$ advising corporations & politicians about the issues. If the issue is ultimately resolved, they have to find a new grift. That's why issues ending with "ist" or "ism" will probably never be resolved to the satisfaction of activists. They simply shift the goal posts of the original grievance. The fact that we cancel people over micro aggressions speaks volumes.

Black women in the United States gained the right to vote with the ratification of the 19th Amendment on August 18, 1920, which granted women the right to vote. However, due to pervasive racial discrimination and voter suppression tactics, particularly in Southern states, many Black women were effectively prevented from voting until the Voting Rights Act was passed on August 6, 1965. This act aimed to eliminate legal barriers at the state and local levels that had prevented African Americans from exercising their right to vote as guaranteed under the 15th and 19th Amendments.
