Sony WF-1000XM4 battery problems

My Sony WF-1000XM4 is great, but the battery Sony decided to use in it might be lacking. 1 year after purchasing my earbuds, the left side started draining in an hour of use. This seemed to be happening to many customers after certain firmware releases. Sony recognized the issue and allowed a warranty replacement for my earbuds. A year later, the right side started draining much faster than the left side. I decided to try changing the battery myself and purchased the same brand battery as what comes with the original earbuds. After the first try, the left side was immediately losing power. I still think the Sony earbuds are great, but the battery is low quality. I purchased yet one more battery hoping I might get a good one. In the end it works, but who knows if it will fail in another year?

6 months update on the battery life pls? Also is the firmware on 2.0.1?

I am on 2.0.1. I use them daily for 2-4 hours and they still work fine.

I bought them on amazon from 2 different stores. Just look for Brand EXMUMCMR. The battery is Z55H.
