It just feels so right to see coder playing code talkers again. So glad to see him happy playing it. Would love to see him make a code talker list again and cook some ranked
Thank you for bringing back joy to MD. I've been watching your videos for a while, but never played Code Talkers. I was struggling with different meta decks, bouncing between Master 3 and 2. I'm not sure how to perfectly talk with the code, but my body is slowly becoming a machine that turns Lady Debug and an extender into Terahertz pass and its beautiful.
I thought this festival was funny because everyone complained about Tenpai, and here I am with 3 Threatening Roar, 3 Waboku, 3 Sol and Luna, Ghostricks, lol. Just a control deck that Tenpai literally can't deal with. Sadly, can't play Daruma Cannon in the Festival.
7:24 "Dude I love linking with the hand - I think that is such a cool way to have extenders. Like it's not like you have to summon them or whatever, there just, just link with the hand, dude." Josh Schmidt:
Came here to say that i initially didn't wanna touch the event cause of Tenpai but cause of this video i jumped in with this deck and had an absolute blast playing it, didn't get to collect all 4k points but i got 3k done in the one day. That's at least something. Been trying to learn Code Talker as someone who never really played in any serious game of YGO and had last touched this game back in 2015/16. I'm enjoying the deck a lot, even though i don't always know what exactly i'm doing yet lmao
@@DivineDECwell if you were to take Yusaku’s decks and use them against the protagonists they’re more likely to win. It’s nothing on the anime just vrains is more accurate to modern yugioh

Gate Guardian also fucks up Tenpai due to Labyrinth Wall Shadow. L.W.S prevents them from attacking with their smaller Tenpais forcing them to Synchro early and get in two attacks at most. Add to that Gate Guardians have a native Monstee that negates Spells/Traps twice per turn, another that reduces the ATK of up to two Monsters to 0, Gate Guardians Combined being too big for them to beat over without blowing up their field spell and access to a natives towers monster with an easy summoning condition that cant be destroyed by battle.
@@secondmemelord8859 Yooo another Gate Guardian enjoyer. The only downside is the number of hand traps and board breaker does unfortunately work pretty well against GG to prevent to set and very solid board, and the Synchro Lv. 10 negating effect in the battle phase prevents your Fusion monsters to float back. But yeah, get the LWS to stick and they get a bit confused when starting their battle phase. And Gate Guardian is just so much fun.
@@turquoisMoxium Nice to see another Gate Guardian Enjoyer. I did this exact thing during the event, and I also had 100% rate against tenpai. The difference is, mine wasn't as good. I had set up the tri-gate omni, the OG firewall with 2 bounces instead of 3, protec code talker, and finally the unaffected terahertz
I found your channel when I 1st wanted to build a code talker deck. So it's nice seeing you play one again. Also, can you give us a new deck list since iblee is banned now
If that brought you joy then you will find this hilarious. I was able to otk tenpai with my phantom knights deck thanks to arc rebellion xyz dragon with its effect, I was able to negate their synchro summoning ability.
This deck looks pretty fun. is this the optimal cardlist for code talker decks? I really want to try it but i keep getting mixed card lists and opinions. Some saying mathmech is always better or code talker is because it can go through more hand traps, some lists just don't have tri-gate wizard. And i'm not knowledgeable enough to craft my own decks, i only started MD around 2 months ago by now.
30:20 tenpai cant make the 6k atk monster because it gets to 6k when the field spell is destroyed in the battle phase by an activated effect so terrahurts just beats it
@@kusanagi-no-tachi5303 yes and then the monsters themselves can’t go into tenpai synchro. They can sync into something else like black rose if they run it but can’t do the tenpai ones. Also if they lock themselves into dragon it further hinders them. They won’t be able to summon chadra from hand either. The monsters lose their battle immunity like no battle damage or not be destroyed because they need to be dragon (fire)

Good to see you do your thinking artwhen your good at what you're great at.
I played a branded ninja brew and tenpai hated seeing me flip the rock man

I love that he played code talkers. His video from years ago got me into code talkers when I came back to yugioh.
He really just said "It's distancing time" and codered all over his opponents.
I also cleared event with my code talker deck and i liked the fact that link group was least played because it meant more points per win

Finally started using lab for the first time and it’s been good so far in this new meta
Funny thing is, just add flip frozen and it instantly turns off tenpai once you use it in the battle phase with darkfluid
I play Chimera. And Tenpai be tryin to destroy Mirrorknight by battle. It's funny to see honestly.
I'm playing plunder with rise to full height and threatening roar, got back to plat in 2 days turning off the battle phase
Im not typically a fan of CodeTalker
But
This video made me laugh so much..

This makes me want to play Burning Draw & Santa Claws in Tenpai just so I can dig 5 cards deep into my deck and draw the out. :)

I usually win vs Tenpai using Ice Barriers and specifically Spellbreaker and Defender/Cryomancer
I decided to play the Link as well with a burn trickstar deck. Didn’t win a lot but a won way more then I anticipated. So it evens out for me.
Good ol reincarnation droll lock

They need to unban everything each time they release a new deck, just to see if it actually is as strong as people think it is.
That would just make FTKs the top deck with Tearlaments as the only contender.
