      This ice castle turning over and the blue under it is one of the most beautiful things I ever seen. Unreal

      @@cleopatra1633 Yesss, unreal is the perfect word for that blue. The first time I saw that color I thought it was the video blowing it out or something. Never seen anything like it. 🌞

    Magnificent footage. To witness something like this is a once in a lifetime event. Both beautiful and terrifying to see the force of Mother Nature.

    I was at the Puerto Moreno glacier 3 months before the arch collapsed. So envious of those people who got to see it. To all those people saying people are too close, it’s not that close. It’s the camera settings.
    It’s one of the only glaciers still actually growing

    I wondered what happened to that little boat trying to out run that tsunami heading towards it. Seemed to disappear in the wave.

      Whatever happened, they deserve the consequences. Being out in a small boat around an area that is actively calving is almost as dumb as climbing an erupting volcano.

    Incredible power, a very impressive sight. Such a scale, so many millions of cubic meters of water and all this will raise the ocean level, eventually kill all life on earth. But people enjoy this dangerous splendor as long as nature allows it.

    @15:24 - the moment the burg crashes back into the ledge. I see what looks like timed detonations going off on the back side of the iceberg. Like I see when they are demolishing buildings. Very cool.

      Kind of a bit much don't ya think? This process has happened thousands of times throughout history and will keep happening thousands of times after we are dead. It's a normal part of the planets cycle and we are something like 1000 years overdue for another ice age as it is.

    • @pixietwitch
      @pixietwitch Рік тому +3

      Summer is sad? You know they harden back up during the winter and push forward to the same place ever year. Then every year during the summer, they melt partially, the water breaks the ice down and disintegrates at the front. Then it gets cold again, and they freeze, etc... It is called weather and it has always happened. If it stayed cold enough to keep all the glaciers frozen in place all the time, no food would ever grow for any form of life.

      You should probably do some research. Nothing but nature here. Do you realize that we're technically still in the last ice age? The world isn't coming to an end. You should stop watching CNN.

      This is Perito Moreno between Argentina and Peru it, the glacier returns yearly. Or so .The lake on the Argie side is deeper than on the Peru side and as the warm weather occurs the water on the Argentina side melts the ice to the tunnel and the glacier melts .DONT try to panic those who haven’t, seen the yearly? Event.
