@@cleopatra1633 Yesss, unreal is the perfect word for that blue. The first time I saw that color I thought it was the video blowing it out or something. Never seen anything like it. 🌞
Whatever happened, they deserve the consequences. Being out in a small boat around an area that is actively calving is almost as dumb as climbing an erupting volcano.
I was at the Puerto Moreno glacier 3 months before the arch collapsed. So envious of those people who got to see it. To all those people saying people are too close, it’s not that close. It’s the camera settings. It’s one of the only glaciers still actually growing
Non-sense, a significant minority of glaciers are growing around the world when measured as overall ice-pack volume (rather than merely where it is breaking off). Al Gore just doesn't want you to know that. The climate doomsayers will always cherry pick evidence to suit their doomsday narrative.
@15:24 - the moment the burg crashes back into the ledge. I see what looks like timed detonations going off on the back side of the iceberg. Like I see when they are demolishing buildings. Very cool.
Incredible power, a very impressive sight. Such a scale, so many millions of cubic meters of water and all this will raise the ocean level, eventually kill all life on earth. But people enjoy this dangerous splendor as long as nature allows it.
So funny to hear the same reaction to the exact same release of (Oh My Global Warming Ice Drop) activity some 45 years later. Seen this Every 20 years!!!
All These people watching in awe not realizing the demise of Mother Earth, The crystal clear blue ice that took millions of years to form gone in seconds 😢
Kind of a bit much don't ya think? This process has happened thousands of times throughout history and will keep happening thousands of times after we are dead. It's a normal part of the planets cycle and we are something like 1000 years overdue for another ice age as it is.
This is Perito Moreno between Argentina and Peru it, the glacier returns yearly. Or so .The lake on the Argie side is deeper than on the Peru side and as the warm weather occurs the water on the Argentina side melts the ice to the tunnel and the glacier melts .DONT try to panic those who haven’t, seen the yearly? Event.
Summer is sad? You know they harden back up during the winter and push forward to the same place ever year. Then every year during the summer, they melt partially, the water breaks the ice down and disintegrates at the front. Then it gets cold again, and they freeze, etc... It is called weather and it has always happened. If it stayed cold enough to keep all the glaciers frozen in place all the time, no food would ever grow for any form of life.
You should probably do some research. Nothing but nature here. Do you realize that we're technically still in the last ice age? The world isn't coming to an end. You should stop watching CNN.
This is a natural occurring cycle. It happens so regularly there are literally places you can go to watch it in person. Glaciers move and break and grow and shrink. This isn't due to global warming at all

Magnificent footage. To witness something like this is a once in a lifetime event. Both beautiful and terrifying to see the force of Mother Nature.

This ice castle turning over and the blue under it is one of the most beautiful things I ever seen. Unreal

Very nice video!
So powerful. Beautiful.
Greetings from the BIG SKY.
4:01 to 4:27 or so: “Wwwwoooowww.” Also, that tsunami-type wave was tremendous!
I wondered what happened to that little boat trying to out run that tsunami heading towards it. Seemed to disappear in the wave.

03:17 mins. amazing.
12:41 I know its but it looks like something frozen in the freshly cut face
Camera shake and over-zooming and square format are problems.
I think some of these are older videos with cameras that didn't have the stability software in them.
If you don't like it, go watch something else.

What happens when all that ice is gone will it go in the island is that ice a wall being destroyed
Too bad they can’t erase human sounds and replace with back ground rain fall sounds or tap water running but no music.
No music PLEASE!

No the oceans are not rising...this has been happening for thousands of years.

Your ignorance is showing.

Normal ice migration is about a 100 years, millions is a real stretch
I guess it's called the history of the universe
All things have a life cycle!
So sad!! I agree this is not a good thing. People are so ignorant of what is happening.
I think all the people are to close
It's NOT simply g;acier calving. It's glacier DISAPPEARING with NO return!

Until the next ice age.there have been before and will again.its a cycle and not global warming bs.

Wow you're ignorant.
It won't be awesome when when they all melt and half of the earth is under water am sad how people clap and find it funny when glaciers melt😢
I keep telling you people Glaciers are melting oceans and rivers Rising causing floods Raymond Paul Sullivan III me myself and I and him RPS 111
Quelle catastrophe 😢😢😢
Why ??????
