That's how I came across your channel actually, and the inspiration with Your Song was just some nice extra bonus. 🤩 1. Does the CP88 provide any input for a microphone and can its signal be sent through reverb, equalizer etc. along with the other sound sections? 2. Does the CP88 have some quick recording facility for WAV files on a memory stick? Thanks in advance for your support.
@@reinhardtilker8552 There is not a mic input (XLR) but there is a 1/4” stereo input (and gain) on the back so you could input a mic with that type cable end. Obviously this would be a lower fidelity mic. I’ve not tried that to determine whether reverb and effects would apply. The CP88 does not have a way to record.
@@RonWarrenmusic57 Sh....ame, I love those two features of the CP5 too much. Losing them would probably make me unhappier than the more userfriendly operability of the CP88 could make me happier. Oh, that's too bad. Seems the CP88 was just a short dream and I'm continuing with my old CP5. 🤷♂ Anyway, thank you for helping me with this.
Hi Ron, love your videos! A quick question, I have only just bought the CP88 and I love it..but I find the high keys are hard to pop through the sound system on most live situations( find I have to hit them harder to hear them ). You mentioned in one of your videos that you adjusted some of the sensitivity on your keys and I was just wondering if they were the higher octave keys? Thanks Shaun
Hey Shaun. The Touch Sensitivity affects the entire keyboard. You can't just target a certain section. There are two variables in the Touch Sensitivity application; Depth and Offset. You can experiment with these settings according to your taste. Maybe you can find something that will work better for you. Hello Ron, great voice and well played. Are these Yamaha CP88 sounds? How can it be that no sound numbers are displayed, neither piano nor e piano or synthesis area? The displays in the video (yellow-red-green) are dark?
Hey Stephan. Yes, these are all Yamaha CP88 sounds. The reason that the number windows are dark (in EP and SYNTH sections) is because those sections are in Advanced Mode. When you switch to Advanced Mode you can select ANY sound on the keyboard regardless of where it's located normally. When you hit the color select button you will see the changes in the MAIN window but not the small section window. Hope this helps.
