Seeing the progression of him being able to handle the Mage multi-mob pull was actually very fun to watch. Props to him for putting in all that effort as well, cause we saw a very condensed version.
I can’t wait for the John Keeshan jokes video I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time, it’s a bottomless pit of jokes
A real John Keeshan, if you will
I need every single John Keeshan joke that was made on stream to make it to that video please. Even the ones from chat.
@@Danoriel chat was on fire, although my favourite was invisibility being on cool down “bet you wish you had shit and leaves now” 😂
69th like
Ed with the Time Lost Proto Drake flex.
"it took years to get this mount, it's going in the damn video" if that isn't the realist thing I've seen.
Having fun? In Retail? Without being max level? They said it was impossible.
While I do agree that the game has gotten somewhat worse over the years, it's still highly enjoyable, at least for a casual like me. The community on the other hand, aged like bread. They sucked ALL the fun out of the MMO part of the game.
@@youdyedVery true
@youdyed I disagree with that take. Sure there are a lot of turds who play but there is also a ton of people who will be nice and help. Just gotta put a lil effort in to find a clan.
The game is only fun when u start as a noob, a decent player can mob grab and farm the quests very quickly which is no so much enjoyable part
WoW has always been (scaled to vanilla levels)fun til 20 or so, crap until 60, then fun again for a while
This is Sean's first real MMORPG experience so he's never hit the hump. I feel like he won't enjoy the hump.
This is the content I love. Brilliant highlight reel lmfao.
Good of you guys to give day9 a more open ended set of goals. These streams were a blast
Dang, he has the best editor! Getting on a flying mount to give us those overhead and external views? Brilliant move.
God, I love the "It took years to get this mount it's going in the damn video" made me crack up so damn hard. LOVED the editing Sir Ed
This was so incredibly entertaining.
Super cool watching him learn. I especially liked the realization of how important coherent keybindings are.
Absolutely loved the added POV towards the end. Great highlight vid!
Cataclysm is by far the most wacky expansion, which is the content he's currently playing, so perfect foil for Day9.
He actaully playing Retail WoW but leveling in the old world. You can tell because his friend Ed (the Night Elf Priest) was using the Yak vendor mount which is not available in Cataclysm but from MoP.
@@GooseComics What OP meant is that this is the revamped old world. Catacylsm was the expansion where these areas and their quests were redesigned. So yes, this is Cataclysm content in many, many ways.
Honestly six mobs at [your current level] is a pretty motivated pull even for experienced players before they overgear later in an expansion cycle. Good going.
WoW has the best gameplay of any major MMO, Period. And it's always a pleasure to see someone enjoy it for the first time.
It’s such a joy to watch Sean struggle with a game while laughing the whole time.
The John Keeshan questline is one of my favorites. I'm glad Day9 got to experience it.
So much love to Sean for learning WoW (retail) and hoping he continues to enjoy himself with it.
What a great introduction to video games. Keep at it Day9, once you get the hang of things it gets even better! lol
This might be the greatest wow content created in a long long time
YOU DID IT! The music, the killer instincts, the fierceness ... it was *perfect*!!
As someone who has played wow since 2006, this is great. I love this so much, keep em coming!
Frost mages one and only go to spell...arcane explosion! But really, was cool to see him refine the spells/approach used to be far more effective.
I just recently found your channel and I've really been enjoying your content! I love your personality and sense of humor. Keep up the great work :)
This is great :D laughed so hard and can't wait for your next wow adventure!
One million ways to die in Redridge Brought to you by Day9
This was the most fun and enjoyable wow gameplay video that I have seen in a very long time. Thank you Day9 and great editing!
Ahaha, those are some fun quests! Also fun watching Day9 learn how to use his abilities ^.^
This was a real journey to watch on stream. Can't wait until Day9 discovers tab targeting.
The concentration face! Nicely done! The combat is pretty engaging when you do some mad shit like that.
Love the "Birds eye view" that was great xD
This is very fun to watch! more pls!
Was great to watch you learn wow, Hope to see more
"Yeah honey this guy used to be a pro-gamer. No I'm serious, it's not a joke."
This is a true WoW experience xD
Very glad for him.
Nice work Ed :D
the thumbnail looks like Ainsley Harriott grinding pepper
This is awesome! Never played WoW, but watching his few experiences I really wanted him to really learn to tryhard a bit.
Random Time Lost Proto flex.. I like it!
11:40 Man looks like he just worked out how to go super saiyan.
This is top tier content
What's the song that plays in the first half of the video? Clearly from a game in my childhood but i can't recall the game for the life of me!
Awesome choise of music, Sean. I hear Castlevaina, I upvote!
Literally wracking my brain trying to recall the video game the first background song is from..... I keep wanting to think Mario Kart 64. I blame early Monday mornings and lack of coffee. Help me denizens of the interwebs!
Steam Gardens - Super Mario Odyssey!
Thanks editor!
SO good! PS Great editing
And i'm having so much fun watching you having fun
I hope he goes north of Red Ridge. The quest line for the Burning Steppes is just as entertaining, and kick ass.
I never got to experience both mentioned zones before Cata, but to date they are the most memorable zones for me.
i love watching you play wow :D
Yep that was the experience.
weird, I was JUST talking about how Steam Gardens is an absolutely killer track, such a strange feeling to have it then start playing in this video
The supercut to end all supercuts!
He needs to finish this questline and do the "AHHHHH!" quest!
Missed opportunity on missing the "I bet you miss the shit and leaves now" after dying after completing that quest, but awesome recap vid!
This is the best WoW content since the vanilla days
This really highlights how, the vets (me included) kinda forgot what a magical journey WoW can be.
...now if the Devs didn't shove ever new player into the newest expansion content/story, that'd be greeeat.
Ah a fresh day9 video to munch on. Don't mind if I do
This reminds me of TB and OMGcata videos from cata beta
John Keeshan video is urgently needed
Thats the most F-Bombs I have heard Day9 say
Bonus points for Bloody Tears
wows ok i guess but its no beneath a steel sky that is for sure
I like Editor as a character
It count even before he pulled more because he pulled 7 by accident first.
Classic hardcore when
Are you going to finish the John Keeshan storyline in redridge?
How do you die in retail? I didn't know that was a thing
I came for the day9 and was shocked at the bikini bottom tunes. Love this!
4:21 😂
It's criminal how no one taught him how to actually pilot in WoW. He's doing the equivalent of flying a helicopter with an NES Controller.
What is the name of the song while he is pulling?
JOHN KEESHAN!
This video title makes me happy.
I remember the time, when i knew n tohing abouit wow. it was golden, everything was new. SAve the moments, its pure awesome!
Knowing how good day9 is at rts games it’s insane how bad he is at mmo’s a much easier game to play imo
"The man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger covered himself in shit and leaves" doesn't hit quite as hard
As an oldschool Ragnarok Online player... Pulling 6 mobs is cute :D
Weird flex but ok. You can pull some crazy number of mobs in WoW too but let's be honest, even 6 were a challenge for Sean so I can totally see why they went with that number.
He will discover TAB targeting someday.
you should try these on classic.
ed and his timelost proto drake that took him years to get... lol i made a character on a new brazil server years ago and got it in like a week. the mount of sha of anger, and the love rocket however..... those took like 8+ years to get in the end farming it on 40+ characters every available week/day then they hot fixed the drop change with dragon flight. i got them during a trial and i had told myself those 2 mounts were my end goal. never bought dragon flight. havent really played much since. i might hop on during a holiday when they add some new stuff and farm them on a lvl 20 alt so i dont have to pay a sub fee.
This is Ed, I always loved the mount since way back in the day. I camped the spot for long hours on and off for years. (low dedication, or else I would've gotten it way sooner) Finally decided to just camp my character there on my 2nd monitor while I edited. After a few days, it spawns on me, I kill it, and the body falls down the side of the cliff, and gets stuck in a spot I can't loot. I can't fall while looting, can't loot while mounted, I even flew to Dalaran to learn engineering for like a loot grabber item or something. Eventually the body disappeared with the loot. Luckily I recorded it and sent in a ticket and I woke up to the mount in my inventory from a GM. It was the happiest day of my life lol.
1:25 wait I thought this was a setup for him realizing he had no main-hand weapon, did he never end up updating his equipment?
what... blizzard is a casted spell in retail now? Double edged sword, takes longer to slow, but ticks won't be interrupted on the other hand.
More casual than ever. Can be fun for newcomers though.
watching Day9 live dying over and over to the same mobs was hilarious!
what's the music in this?
(the one with the organ)
@@self-transforming_machine-elf Steam Gardens - Super Mario Odyssey OST
RIP your free time - progression has started. Now imagine this same level of challenge but with PVP, or with raiding with a ton of other people who have different roles than you do.
such a pain :D
TWO TWO TWOOOO
You know walking back to corpse is the most annoying aspect off wow.
Best thing about this is whenever anyone mentions gear he has none because most of the things he's doing are side quests that don't give much gear. If he was doing a main storyline he would never experience the struggle due to being pelted with a piece of gear every 2nd quest. Can say after watching him finish the 6 mob pull that he definitely got more confident and eventually realized that ice lance is just better right now (not having glacial spike yet). Super weird that they intro icicles and just don't do much with them till the lower half of the class tree.
I had no idea Retail was much harder than Classic.
I am impressed at how bad day9 is at this game. Surely facing a character and pressing a few buttons is easier than microing 200 units in starcraft, but day9 is doing his best to prove that wrong. Starting to understand some of the people i find in dungeons and raids...
For context, this is a former Starcraft champion. Yes, the games are different, but come on. Mice and keyboards are still mice and keyboards.
Yeah, pull all of them out of the blizzard and ice block. Because damaging them while being invulnerable would be cheating.
A game so bad that you have to get a couple of friends to explain how to squeeze a couple of hours of fun out of it, because the game is shit out of ideas as soon as you start. Glad he enjoyed himself, fight me.
FIRST LOL Never got to do that 😂😂
I'm so proud of you. You did it. You peaked
