Great vid! I actually really enjoy kind of an open discussion more random topics in videos as well. It was a great surprise hearing the talk at the end. Please let more of those kind of natural queries the students have be in the videos. :D

Loved the conversation and discussion after--and you can clearly see more power from this player once you made the adjustment!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!
Last day I played tennis I was giving it all in my strokes but they weren't effective enough. I am sure that having this in mind the power will be better.

"It takes more work, Nik." I bet it does. I've tried being more intense with my initial move with my feet...and it's tiring. I guess it pays to get into better shape (talking to myself here too, obviously).

I like the video... Informative. Only piece of feedback that I give to anybody I get lessons from is that after a cardio intensive set of moves, that any verbal follow-up is told after I can catch my breath fully. I don't remember too many words when I'm recovering - I'm just trying to survive lol

The way I think about this is to put my shoulder under the ball before I hit it, this helps me visualize it better

This V-shape tip seems to be a great one to get more power... However, I have the feeling Robert is very fast out of air after only a few strokes (see by minute 5:00 how he is gasping). So, how can we keep this intensity for at least 2 sets for a match ? Do you have some recommendation to increase the endurance by this intensity ? I am able to run 10 km in a row in one hour, so I do have some endurance. But keeping this intensity over 2 hours is not the same as running one hour....
Robert, you and I are not 20 anymore... So please, do yo have some tips for people which are over 40 who struggle to keep this kind of intensity over a whole match ? 😉😅

Play shorter sets and no advantages, worked like a charm for myself (I'm also in my 40s) 😂

@@elchanclascocina : Ok if you play so called "friendship" matches. But if you play "official" matches, you don't choose the rules...

@@TheSebmab True. I was lucky the league I play at is fast sets and 10 point tiebreaker for the 3rd set, as court time is a restriction, and though I still prefer regular sets, at least I was able to last what was needed. Even with this very short version 3 set matches were 80-90 minutes, I can't imagine playing regularly normal 3 setters, seems that boat has sailed for me!✌️

Great video as always! Quick question though, you said in a two handed backhand if somebody had the dominant hand on eastern forehand grip you would correct it right away to have it in a continental grip right? What about if somebody has the dominant hand in eastern backhand grip and the other hand in semi-western grip for the tow handed backhand, would you also bring it back to continental and eastern respectively?

  • @TheDmonet

The Jelena Jankovic used to hit a 2 hander with an eastern forehand on her dominant hand. She had a pretty effective backhand but it looked a bit odd.

Love these 4.5 rec player videos❤. I think that 4.0 - 4.5 is the level where people kinda start understanding the complexity of technical issues in tennis. Robert has very insightful comments and Nick, as usual, delivers awesome feedback.
    Way to go Intuitive Tennis🫠
