Dang, glad they got the stands but MGA needs to fix them being able to sit normally and pose like an ACTUAL MERMAID!! That's annoying and they can't even sit in the car!!!
These are an improvement on the first wave, of which I have none. The downside is that these dolls went from $45 to $60 in Canada. Kishiko is the standout for me, and I might end up getting her and maybe one other like Nera. I can't see buying too many unless something drastically changes.
They're £60 on eBay in the UK - that's $91 Canadian dollars!! And eBay seems to be the only place we can buy this wave. :(

These dolls would be so much more popular if they weren’t mermaids, they could of done so much with with mermaids but all they did was make a normal dolls with a hunk of plastic they call a tail.
Their faces are pretty but there’s something about them that feels empty and dead and the prices of them are unbelievable compared to others dolls
I agree with you 💯. I have Shellnell but I haven't gotten another Mermaidz doll since then. They seem to have the same face molds and vacant expressions. The potential is there but something seems off.
I wish the color didn't happen in freezing cold water because little girls are not going to play in Antarctica!! 😂😂😂😂

I like the dolls, stands, and added accessories. I'm iffy on the skin shimmer, but the tilting heads concern me a little. I hope a slight haircut can fix it.
The stands were such a great addition! The heads don’t tilt too much depending on the character, but it’s true a little trim is always an option if you’re willing haha! Thanks for watching! 😄
While I do love Mermaze and their character design, I can not wrap my head around the obsession of toy companies with temperature based color change. for LOL Surprise it was quite managable, they where small fully plastic figures that did fit nicely in just a glass of ice water. But what play benefit does a doll or even a car bring, that has to be sumberged in ice cold water for several minutes before a change even happens, just for it to disappear seconds later? Do they want children to play with them while they take a nice ice bath? Do they want them to play with these outside in the snow? Is the car supposed to be filled with water and then frozen (wich would probably just destroy it entirely)? Who wants to play with a wet cool pack?
I think a color change between hot (about 30-40°C) and room temperature would make more sense, so they might change in warm bath water or even better, a UV based color change so playing inside and playing outside makes a difference. But that ice feature is just dumb. throw it out the window and safe some money, MGA!

mermaze's winter wave series is so pretty, i like nera and gwen, i haven't seen them in person yet but i agree they look much more elevated than the first series!

They are all so beautiful 💜. I’m wondering if you are aware of whether their complete tails are removable? If not them in particular, are the tails of any mermaidz removable in their entirety? Great video guys 🙂
This line is really lovely! So on these particular dolls no, the tails are not removable by normal means. Although Mermaze did recently release another doll, Morra, with removable / swappable tailfins! Thanks for watching & commenting. 💕

They can't just swim everywhere, same as how we don't run everywhere. It's like a hovercraft in the show. I don't mind the car
Definitely a fantastic step up from wave 1 but the torso articulation is still a major con and I do wish that the large glitter sections were better blended overall. Also - Gwen's eye color change is a major downgrade for me personally. The cruiser is cool but again, how can they even properly sit in it? Hopefully series 3 will continue to improve things but I guess that remains to be seen.

Personally I find the designs quite terrible... I only like Nera
why the tails are a stiff piece of plastic., they are pretty ( face and hair.....but the tails...), I saw them.. but the tails are like a weapon/knife. If you try to make a setup with these mermaids, you can't sit them because of the stiff plastic. I remember, Mattel, years ago made a release of mermaids, who are the closest to the best ones made. I forgot the name of the series, they were 3.

This entire line is just not it at all for me.
I like the concept of these dolls, but their face moulds are just not it for me. They look so... Blank-faced and sad. Staring off into the distance, not a thought behind their eyes.
The face sculpts are quite striking and very similar to Project Mc2 - we think fans of that brand will really vibe with these. But it’s true they’re quite stylized and may not be for everyone. Maybe there will be more sculpts to choose from in the future!
