    The design are not for me but the quality and diversity for a first wave is really great!!!

      Opinions do seem mixed there, but totally agree we so rarely get quality or diversity like this in a first wave of dolls. Thanks for watching!

    Great to see such diversity of hair texture, body, and face mold right out of the gate. It's hard to be a front liner with a new size b/c established props and clothing swaps don't work, but small size is appreciated given the limited space for kids and collectors alike. I don't love the faces, which is what usually prompts me to buy a doll, but those fashion packs, wow! These are the fashion packs RH and Barbie collectors have been craving!

    From what i've seen from most adult collectors these aren't really it for them.
    And I don't see kids asking for these either. They don't have the over the top, colorful presentation like Monster HIgh to reel kids in.
    Not that they don't have merits, Mattel would charge $50- $100 for these types of fabrics and a stand.

    Hey boys, thanks for the close look at these. It’s very nice to see nylon hair and so much diversity in a new doll line! I agree the smaller size is cute. I’m mixed in their fashion and faces. London looks beautiful though, might try to find her. There are so few playline dolls with afro puff hair

      Oh, this sounds terrible, but I've seen these girls in stores. I love everything but the face saw an agreement with you. It's actually why I won't get them until they go on sale. Then I can use a different head

    I really appreciate your in-depth review. I’ve just managed to buy 2 of these from a uk retailer and I’m so looking forward to receiving them. Londynn and Harper were my favourites so I’ve got these. I couldn’t find the extra fashion packs but maybe these will become available; I would have bought these if I could.

    wish they had inset eyes or something to make the heads stand out from everything else.

    They did so good on the faces on the Glo Up girls but missed the mark with the articulation and hair quality. The outfits were a bit on the lower quality end. I’m happy to see they improved on all those issues with this doll but sad that they missed the mark with the faces.

    I knew the dolls would be shorter than Barbie (which was one of the reasons I bought them), but I didn't expect them to be _that_ short. I was hoping they'd be the same size as the Bratz dolls but with slightly smaller heads. I still like them, and appreciate the quality and diversity (race/ethnicity and body types) _and articulation_ this line offered. I look forward to future lines of these dolls. I haven't bought the fashion packs yet. Soon.
    ETA: I tried Brooke's outfit on a petite Barbie, and Barbie said, "Nope!" So there ya go.

    I love these dolls. I was lucky enough to get 2 of them on sale at my local Walmart (they might have been returns). Happy to see the fashions fit some monster high and I’ll be checking to see if they fit RH Jr high dolls. I also hope they come out with more fashion packs. Overall I really like them.

    • @ToyChat
      @ToyChat  21 день тому

      Ooo the fashions probably would fit well on RH Juniors! Should have tried that haha. Congrats on nabbing them on sale ~ thanks for watching! 💕

    I like the fashions of the dolls, not the dolls themselves. I’m not sure I can go back to regular screening dolls, like EAH and this line. RH has forever made me love inset eyes in dolls. Which is funny, because I used to find them creepy prior to RH.

    Thank you for the in-depth review and showing all their fashions and body types. I think they are all cuties and I’m excited to see them in store.

    These dolls aren't going to last long. I don't see them gaining a massive fanbase at all. Maybe if they were Barbie sized, they might do well. I can appreciate the fact that they have diversity right out of the gate, and the clothing has decent quality. But that's about it. Their faces are so flat and uninspiring, they just don't spark anything within me. No hate to anyone that enjoys them, they're just not my taste.

      Remember last year when the Disney ILY 4Ever fashion dolls were released, and the internet went wild? I haven't heard one peep anywhere about these dolls. Defa Lucy made a much bigger wave than these dolls. They were basically dead on arrival.

    When I saw these in stores, I was shocked at how small they are, in comparison to other fashion dolls. I did pick up some of the fashion packs and was impressed with the quality of them….but these dolls aren’t for me, I’m not in love with their faces. I also think the price is a bit much. But they’re great for those who are interested 🌈

    The dolls are cute, but I will wait until they're on sale.

  • @DoIIyMama
    @DoIIyMama 25 днів тому +5

    They do have the quality in clothes, but the accessories are chunky and have no paint details. The faces are also really flat and the overall screening is.. interesting. The eye shape is very generic and it doesn't help with the round and half done eyeshadow. Lastly their fashion just seems so overcrowded and dated.

    Don't think these are going to last every time I have gone to Walmart as of late. They have plenty on shelves. While those 5 in. Rainbow Brite and Strawberry Shortcake dolls are always sold out.

    It’s unfortunate that the team behind these LUV dolls felt they had to reinvent the wheel by not making them truly 1:6 scale compatible. The elements are good, such as quality hair, interesting fashions, diversity, & packaging that could double as photo backdrops. But I think this line probably won’t last long because of the size difference to other 1:6 scale dolls.

  • @alittleoddme1940
    @alittleoddme1940 25 днів тому +2

    OK, so I love that they put the effort into the fashion even if it seems really dated. But the quality is there, but their face. It's a major turn-off. I'm most likely to buy the doll when it's on sale. And then give her a new head. The tree look is not working with me.

    Very cute dolls, but not my vibe. I am going through my list of dolls I collect. I really don't have want to jump into a new collection. Those fashion packs are everything.❤

    No. It's laughable to even suggest that. Next question.

  • @jenmb.

    The faces don’t give anything to me, they are flat and cheap looking apart from London who I like, but I don’t think she would like me. They are quite pricey so I will not buy any of them. If they put more effort into the screening then I might change my mind.
