  • Today we will take you on a tour of a favorite area in all of Puerto Vallarta, Zona Romantica. This area of the city makes you feel as if you are in a European city. Homes and condos on a hill overlooking the Banderas Bay. Great restaurants in every corner. The most gay-friendly city in all of the Americas. This town has magic that you just have to see in person to believe.

Enjoyed your video. We are heading to PV end of March, and was wondering what type of drone did you use?

Thank you, you will enjoy it. The drone we use is the DJI 3 MINI

Were there in February, weather and food were great. Unfortunately many parts of PV smelled like sewage, and totally surprised at how much trash there are on the side of the roads.

yes, some areas are better than others. Where we were staying there wasn't a sewage smell, but the trash was bad. One thing to keep in mind is that in PV, around sunset time, people put the trash on the street corner where it gets picked up soon after.

Zona Romantica is way overcrowded now. It's hard to walk on the sidewalks and the sewer smell from lack of infrastructure can be overwhelming.

Yes, we smelled the sewers in some areas but it is still a nice area to visit. And don't like the big crowds as well. If big crowds is not your thing we recommend places like San Pancho that has less crowds than P.V. or even Lo De Marcos that has no crowds whatsoever. We have videos on both places

I live in Vallarta and have for 35 years. It is very sad to see how overdevelopment and over tourism has ruined a once beautiful city.

I would have loved to see how it used to be back in the day

Yes, you can still find places that are not crowded. We stayed in a neighborhood where the locals live called Lopez Mateos. And it was about a 30 minute walk from the Malecón. Cheaper stay, groceries, and restaurants
