Sorry for the month long absent, had so much unplanned things last month, some odd work, and a lot of experimenting for another video project that I plan to release before this one. That project didn't go so well, simply because the theme and visuals wasn't up to my standards, in retrospect to all my previous uploads that features fancy intro. Countless hours spent trying out multiple concepts but at the end nothing worked. So before I lose the plot, I switched over to making another How-to, at least the scope of production wouldn't be as demanding as a compilation video. At the time I just don't want to waste time with no result, and Ragnar is a fitting candidate for a How-to. (Thanks to one of my Patron KV_Gryz for suggesting it) So please enjoy this one and as always, I hope it gives a good chuckle, while also (loosely) help you become better in the game....if you still play it. Fun trivia: The Volvo wagon in 10:30 is mine ))
did you know picking your targets is just easy, just shoot the non-weeb anime usernames, they have high chance of not avoiding your shells and torpedoes because weebs most likely spends more time in this game than in the shower
Ya know that guy who won the medal of honor in that meme you posted? Yeah, he was wearing my shoes. His shoes got stolen and I got a call from a guy I know who was running the event that he needed a pair. I'm in Honor Guard so I had the correct kind of shoes. I lent him mine for him to use when I heard who it was for. He ended up keeping them as he needed to get on a plane and paid me through my friend for the trouble of buying a new set. Wish I could have been there, would have been nice to maybe strike up a chat from the old man.

Aah you have no idea how helpful this was for me. On average, I get around 50-75 k in one match but in others, I make horrible mistakes and die very quickly.
Ragnar is inherently underpowered. It lacks the necessary attributes to make meaningful impact on match result. No burst damage to speak of, split turrets, and yet still retains a fragile platform. I would take 1 Conqueror..Thunderer or 1 DM or even 1 of just about any CA over 2 Ragnars on my team any day of the week. Now... If WG gave it the specialized repair party of the Nestrashimy ( and 1 more base charge)... And maybe a few more thousand HP if could make up for where it is seriously lacking with longevity

You make me want all these ships just to cheese the enemy team with. one of my personal favourites is the Marblehead. nothing like getting 90k and a kraken in a ship many consider a joke :) . Can't wait to see a Lyon video!

yeah, but tbh mid range continuous dpm is pretty meaningless without a decent amount of flak and/or DFAA to back it up. Halland for example does over 50k plane dps with DFAA active while ragnar sits at around 1-2k dps, they arent even close.
Yuro, how do I take a fearless brawler, main battery, and AA specialist like you suggested in 6:35 with a survivability expert, superintendent, and concealment expert, which are also speced on your ragnar as seen in your video? Do I have to get rid of the adrenaline rush, also known as the best captain skill in the entire game?
It's an opportunity cost. Trade off better reload at low hp for always better reload. You don't have any torps and aa is a joke anyways so the main reload is all I buffs. Adrenaline rush requires you to loose 25% of your hp before it gives the same benefit, although if I had to guess, it's probably just a holdover from the weird 2/7s thing that should be fixed. Iirc Friesland got a reload boost at 90% hp and then nothing until like 4% hp cause WG spaghetti code. All the very fast reload dds suffered from this.
It's entertaining to hear "why people keep coming back to play this game" as he's shooting at the reason I haven't been back to playing the game in nearly a year. Boy, it sure feels longer than that, though.
I can see that you got burnt out from the game, especially when you grind high-tiers and clans.ranked battles. Can i reccomend you a few ships that could make your day? Mainly the Agincourt (WTF where they thinking wait it's actually not that bad), the Mutsu (I am bored sniping with my 410's at T6 lets go brawl with torps that reload faster then my guns) and my favorite T7 cruiser, the Eendracht (Atlanta but with 152's and a funni button against island campers) I really enjoy those 3 and they are always a blast to play. Ofc i could also add Mikasa but i remember you doing a video on it a while back :-)

I usually tell whoever is with me on the side I spawn on that I will open up and distract them so that they can kill their target. works all the time.
As a Moskva main in CBs, I'd get pretty hard when I saw one of these on the enemy team. So easy to rip apart with 5k AP salvos at any angle. That said, if anything Austin needs a big buff. Give it Montana-esque heal or something cool idk.

Hybrid build still the best balanced build for it. (EM, Grease the Gears, BoS, Emergency Repair, Fire Prevention, Manual Secondary Aiming, Adrenaline Rush) Couldn't promise a guide for them as of right now.
I would like to warn you, if you ever do get it, from someone with lots of battles in Ragnar, it is a fucking toxic magnet, like it feels like every team wants you to be as close as a 5.6km concealment shima, and if you do that you spend the game doing nothing or firing your guns and being dead super fast. If you don't go kill yourself then people scream at you for "not doing dds things".
this is one ship where you pick the battles. Then when to run. It is that or death. Figure both teams are passive, too bad DDs, Other team pushes, well run. Your team pushes, well.... If both teams push, let someone else draw fire first.
I brought myself a Staliniumgrad last week. Easily the best and simplest steel ship imo. No gimmicky spammy guns, no speed boosts, no reload boosts, no tomato guns.....just a sharpshooter cruiser that hits broadsides like a truck...even BBs hate my guns lol.
You can still walk yourself into a shit show if the enemy DD has more ships closer to him than your still in spawn long range cruisers (I actually saw a spotter plane DM last night)
My take for getting MBAAS instead of AR is consistency. Flat 5% isn't much but you can utilize those from the getgo instead of having to lose 25% of HP to get the benefits. Since the reload were very quick to begin with, the benefits are negligible. Like 0,3s difference when AR is at max potential (20% HP) And in my opinion you're more effective when shooting at close to full HP instead of shooting when you're about to die, simply through confidence. You can risk a lot more and shoot a lot longer if you got the HP. Same can't be said if you don't have the HP. AR is a nice skill but its effectiveness is better utilized by ships with long reload and tankier design. Though at the end of the day, you'll do well with either one anyway ))
