I have the Black teacore veg tan stitchdown boots. I wore them to a fine rooftop restaurant in NYC. Our guests from Amsterdam made very positive comments on my boots and they did not know I had an addiction. For $418 they look as good as the Viberg black calf that cost $1020.
Thanks for the video on these. Parkhurst is in my top two favorite makers, and moving up. No question for me that Parkhurst does the best job of balancing a refined style with more casual rugged leathers. This aesthetic is ideal for me and, I think, for so many other people. Not too fancy, not too rough. Adding the stitchdown models to the company's offerings was brilliant. And every leather offered is just terrific.
I have that exact boot. It was my first Parkhurst and got me hooked on the 618/602(M). The longer I collect, the more I find that fit and comfort outweigh the style aspect, but I think this boot (and the lasts) nail both. I’ve got 2 from Parkhurst so far, and they will not be my last.
You're slowly encouraging me to try Parkhurst, especially considering I have narrow heels and toes that spread quite widely, which suggests the last may fit me well. The one thing that puts me off a little is that the leathers I like are on stitchdown boots and quite frankly I see no advantage over GYW other than much they are more expensive and it will cost more and be more complicated to find someone who's prepared to re-sole the boot. However, the veg tan leathers are very nice ....I'm on the edge :-)
I've fallen over the edge. VAT, duty and postage added about £120 on to the price which puts the cost higher than Grant Stone. I've ordered a chesnut veg tan Allen boot which look great. I've gone for my "normal size" of US 13 as I use that size for Grant Stone though they don't do a US 12.5 like Parkhurst. Another blow to the plan to downsize my collection.
I find that within reason if the leather is forgiving, sole and uppers. So is the last. I'm becoming less concerned with the Last, and more interested in leather choices and size.
@@Bootlosophy all jokes aside, the collections form this brand are wild. I recently moved to Mexico for a one year assignment and didn’t bring my Parkhurst 😢. I regretted it so much I have a pair of Christian Daniel’s Larry boots on order 😂
Love that you go into style and setting with every boot! Thanks for your content, sir.
Glad you're enjoying the content!

I'm addicted too. Boots are my drug
I’m looking at the black veg tan tea core boots now, how’s the fit vs grant stone?

I like Parkhurst but choose others because of the LAST shape. (Truman / Viberg/ White's/ Nicks would be my 1st go tos....) Always enjoy your vids.
