If any devs can do reused assets right, it's the Japanese! They're masters at that. Look at the Yakuza series, 90% of new release assets are reused, yet every entry feels fresh and are very fun to play, you wouldn't mind reused assets 1 bit because they are done so well.
Yes! Yakuza is a great example of focusing on the parts of the game that matter and RGG not reinventing the wheel when they don't have to, and they're better games for it

@@rosaria8384 It's time. Horizon 1-3 were fantastic games, 4 was acceptable & had a nice setting but the cracks were beginning to show, by the time 5 came around the formula had nothing left to give. The game got stale FAST. Forget about the NFS & The Crew copies of the formula, they had nothing new to offer in a theme that had already been beating into the ground. We need new ideas, not clones.
The fact that this is just Early Access and have EVERY initial essentials the series once had (hopefully TXR3 oil and water temps make a return, some people want it back) is just mindblowing. Genki hasn't made racing games in a while but they already nailed it. I can't imagine how full version 1.0 will be. I wish they also bring more parts of the Shuto like the Minatomirai west of Daikoku and circling around Yokohama, Shibuya Line, the interior Yaesu as the intermediary of C1, and the Yamate Tunnel. Would be fun having a 2025-spec updated Shuto.
i'm with you on the 2025-spec Shuto part, i'd love to see the Water Line and Umihotaru PA ingame, i don't think it's ever been done before, not even SRP has them (yet)
I do remember Yaesu being part of TXR Zero, and how the rival cars always seemed to struggle in that area so I would try to lure stronger cars down there to beat them easily. That's always been an important part of the series too, choosing where to start a battle to exploit an opponent's weaknesses.
The fact that they are (appearantly) releasing a stable, optimized game in 2025 alone is worth praising. I really hope this series will finally get the attention and success it deserves!
One important thing you could have added to this is that genki said with paying the $29 early release you continue to get any future updates the game will go through for not a single cent more! Which is actually amazing for any developers to come out and offer that.
That's supposed to be the whole lure of early access. Pay less for the unfinished game and get the rest for free as it releases or wait and pay full price once it's finished. It's sad that other devs have used it as bait to just make more money later on.
No, that's not really amazing, that's how early access is SUPPOSED TO WORK & we need to stop letting other devs get away with releasing DLC before the game is actually done (unless it's a supporter pack or soundtrack). When you buy an early access game you are entitled to all of the content that is needed to make the game feature complete. They can raise the price as they add content for those who haven't purchased yet, but the tradeoff for buying & testing an unfinished product is that you don't owe them any more money to get the complete experience... I don't mean to be rude, I just don't understand why so many people don't understand how this is meant to work. I will agree that it is fantastic & they deserve some praise for doing the right thing, but at the end of the day this is what devs are supposed to do. You don't get praise for using a toilet instead of the floor because that's just what you're supposed to do, you know?
@@MeadeJ67 You're spot on! and it is a shame so many games never reach completion and just take your money because they are not up front about this. It is amazing still that Genki (and we don't know yet but are taking their word for it) is laying this out there BEFORE the finalized launch in this first half of the game. It goes to show they appreciate their fanbase and we should do the same for reviving such an amazing game. Do I need to say amazing one more time... LOL
Is it true? Because if it's true then I'll buy it. This will be my first Shutoko Battle experience for me. One things I don't like is the characters are just black white drawing. Genki even collab with Namco for mobile game called Drift Spirits and they can afford good artist for characters.
@@theraiden9631 Well, I kind of like the un-intrusive black and white silhouette style. In this kind of game, it's the car that should be on the fore front as the opponent face/expression of self; ala games like Homeworld. so your telling me this game isnt a broken mess. works on most hardware and is only $30 in an industry that just seems to be making games more expensive? sign me up im sold
Something I think they nailed is the UI. It looks, feels, and sounds just like that of an PS2-PS3 era racer, it still has a charm to it instead of the soulless minimalist UI that keeps popping up everywhere.
I'm very new to the series but it seems like my kind of racing game, earlier this week I went to my local retro game store and saw TXR for the Dreamcast and had to pick it up to do homework before this release. Love the original and cannot wait for this!
I'm so happy to hear!! It looked like Genki was on a good path but you never know for sure until people get hands on. I'm gonna jump off like you suggested - can't wait to play it!
I just finished 100% TXR0 in preparation for this game. Glad it's not bad like most games coming out these days. The B.A.D name QoL change is amazing, in my TXR0 I was briefly called "Perfect Machine", only to have it change to "King of Head"
I was just playing FH5 last night thinking about how I missed TXR. Then this was the first video in my feed when I opened UA-cam earlier. Thank you for this video.
how do you not have a million subs?? HOW?? been following for a while (under another account) and you are the most reliable reviewer on this platform, period. hope you are keeping well man
My god, didn't know this was coming. Used to put an insane amount of hours on this on the dream cast. I was living my pretend street racer dream. I still remember that feeling of seeing a rival and going behind them and flashing the high beams.
To see this become a reality is admittedly overwhelming, but I am SO GLAD to see this come back and be given the love/treatment it deserves. Yes there's a few things it has to fix, but being this is early access, and only *half* of the game so far, I'm faithful that it'll retrieve said love.
I never forgot playing TXR 3 on the PS2, so hyped it's back! Can't wait to see how they'll progress the game and see what the modding community will do.
Never heard about this title before somehow and what a pleasant surprise. It looks like a modern era old school racing game and a must have for a JDM fan
i feel so blessed. i just found out about this series while browsing through PS2 ROMs to download on my Steam Deck while downloading NFS:MW & Carbon, and i fell in love with these games. then i find out a couple months later they’re making a brand new game that’s completely absolved from corporate oversight. incredible
Yeah, all racing games nowadays have to be simulators like GT7, Assetto Corsa and Forza Motorsport. Been waiting for a genuinely fun arcade racer that isn't a soulless piece of crap like NFS Unbound and TDU Solar Crown.
Car RPG games like TXR and ITC are awesome because your car becomes one of the main characters. You feel a sense of ownership over it and grow to love it's quirks.
Wow, if EA et al just realised this: if they could GENUINELY capture exactly what made their glory games good, they would sell like crazy. Rockstar as well....I understand GTA VI takes massive, massive resource to make, but a new Midnight Club would have been incredible.
If GTA 6 included a playground mode where you can create your own activities to play against AI opponents offline(like midnight club styled racing without needing mc5), the replay value would definitely skyrocket, I'm a sucker for stuff like that, or mods.
It's funny how upset the Sim Pros who play Asetto Corsa and GT7 are lmao. They can't believe the fact that an actual arcade racer is being released. Imagine, handling and sound that is inaccurate to the cars' real life counterparts lmao
I'm in love with this game, TXR3 was a huge game for me as a kid and was my first introduction to real deep cut JDM cars like the Cefiro, kei cars, ect. I hope this game really takes off because its so cool. I hope they add the Cefiro and many more cars, I think they said there was no plans for multiplayer but maybe if it's very successful they will do it, like they did with the online game.
After playing all the latest racing games proceeding it, I've never had as much fun as playing the original TXR on my dreamcast when it was released. It was a game ahead of it's time.
so happy! love it! worth every single penny. been playing txr since 99. your opening intro sums it up perfectly. they gotta get Honda onboard to truly be ideal, but buy with confidence. runs great on my 780M laptop (ally, legion go, etc.) can't wait to try it on my big boy PC.
I'm definitely getting the game on early access. Looks to be a solid release in the near future. One thing I'd love to see being added back is the water and oil temperatures because it forces players to be more thoughtful in the way they build their cars. You might have engine level 5 but if you're stuck on cooling level 2, your car will essentially be a glass cannon - couple of short battles and it's time to hit the PA. In any case, I love the timeline that we live in. Because we get to see Genki cook up a new TXR for the modern day - and it's looking promising.
Oh man!! I remember Tokyo extreme racer zero back in the day on PS2! This game was by far the most run game I played to date! I seen the title and clicked and commented, so I hope this comes out on systems. I'll have to watch this when I get off work
Imagine Genki updating their current map to be akin to 2025 Tokyo, with new construction projects, the Tokyo Skytree, the updated sections like the Yamate Tunnel and the Yaesu Line, and that underground bypass road that's featured in GT7's scapes that was constructed and completed on 2017.
@@rosaria8384 Yes, I noticed that, but the building @ C1 & New belt line basically they are port from xbox360 ver. its has many simple apartment building model, its the time to transform. Lastly the traffic attention sign board better change to LED Character form just like real life, thx

It would be great to have the traffic on a slider so you can turn up the amount. Wide body kits are definitely needed, I'd also really like to see some bosozoku style cars and kits
"i feel that for most it will instead be a welcome departure from the recent trend of big budget AAA festival racers..." THIS. this right here is why i am so excited to dive into this new TXR experience. i am so so so damn tired of every modern racing game feeling the need to ape horizon just because it's successful.😭it feels like modern racing games just don't have the same varied character they did in the 2000s and 2010s. ...probably because there's less of them being made overall LOL.
Saw this video on Thursday, bought the early access, and spent the ENTIRE WEEKEND grinding through stage 2. Now im just enjoying the loop and buying & upgrading cars. I can't wait for more content to come!!
I think a multiplier like NFS Heat could work nicely for this TXR. The more races you win in one night, the more influential each one becomes. Though it would have to scale with the enemy difficulty otherwise everyone would just farm traffic cars. Hopefully Genki can update the car models in the future. I will very seriously consider buying this, even as a newcomer to TXR. Having only heard of it as an old game that popularized wangan and JP highway racing in the USA
@@plusfourmult That's what I mean. Rewards get multiplied for more and more victories. Losing makes the multiplier go back to 0. Traffic cars don't make the multiplier go up much at all. Maybe 0.1X each. Rivals make it go up by a lot more, the harder the rival, the better the multiplier.
oh my god a new TXR? it looks AMAZING! It's like Zero but updated with modern graphics and details. That makes me really happy. I've found myself going back to the old ps2 titles over and over again over the years because of the gameplay loop. This game is gonna be an instant buy for me.
Going off of your commentary maybe we will get some assist off settings to make the cars a little more wild to drive indifferent either way but for replay value might be fun
This is by far the most excited I have been for a game to come out since the NFS 2015 (Yes I know the game didn't end up being that good) trailer came out during E3 2015.
This was one of my favorite games growing up. I've backed another game called "Night Runners", which is Wangan racing with a 90's art style to it. Excited to see TXR return!
My main issue with TXRZ was always that they never really described how to do certain things. Like, if you wanted to unlock the SA22C RX-7, you had to challenge a dude who drove one, but he wouldn't show up on any day that didn't have something to do with the number 3. The game never explains this to you, so you just kinda had to get lucky. Hearing that this TXR is much more accessible and explains shit easier has already got me hooked more than the original announcements have.
from what I've heard, Zero being bereft of rival hints is because Crave (the US/Europe publisher at the time) wanted players to rely on a guide sold separately
This is not a issue with the later games as TXR3 gives you bio's of racers before you race them and in ITC you get all that information through speaking to people at the Parking Areas in a very organic way and then that info is in your rivals list afterwards
TXR as a franchise was never really on my radar, I think mostly bc I got into gaming relatively late and there weren't any new TXR releases around that time. So a reboot of the series didn't really peak my interest. Safe to say this video has changed my mind though, a polished single player racing game that doesn't require you to be always online is a rarity these days (looking at you AC Evo). Thank you for the review, I will definitely give this a try when I can!
Small note about the livery editor: People have already shown that it's possible to mod in custom decals, so expect some really wild designs to be popping up as more people get access to the game in the future.
@@adlibbed2138You would rather have another soulless racer? Games like this are still sought after because of their simplicity, lack of dependency on being online, and charm. If you don't like it then it's not for you.
Looking forward to playing this on console. Hoping Honda makes a return, I loved beating the game with the Integra Type-R only. I hope they make the map more alive, and maybe add some new routes as well.
praying Honda won't doing the Toyota move with NFS though, especially with the fact that they're currently dealing with the official Japanese branch as we speak, which pretty alergic with Kanjozoku scene unlike their North American & European branches if recent Wangan Midnight games we're anything to go by (cannot adding body kits to the Hondas)
I cant tell you how long ive waited for this day lmao. During the first game it was my "F&F era" lol, was super into street/highway racing with my friends, so this game was literally perfect
It was such a surprise seeing the first announcement of TXR after all these years and it feels so good to be back, even if there's a few choices I might not agree with. After years of being infuriated by Gran Turismo's stiff chase cam I immediately noticed a similar story in your video, but to a lesser degree. Also the handling model really doesn't sound that great. Having played TXR Zero again about two years ago, that handling model felt a bit clumsy in some ways with its slow input speeds, but when you put the steering speed to max it worked really well for that game. I hope either a handling overhaul or an option for hard mode is on the table for early access. I will absolutely play TXR *once it's actually available* and I can't imagine not having a great time with it, but your description of the handling already sounds like there's some work to do.
Hell yeah, same here. However, I hope they give it a more realistic approach with the txr drift so i can just quit assetto corsa with mods all together 😅
Same, the only way the will have the budget thought is if we all buy the game, if it releases on console i will also buy a copy just for posterity even though i dont even own any of the new gen consoles, both to support Genki and it would just be nice to have a hard copy too
My favourite fighting game is back. I've been with it since the Dreamcast, and seeing how fleshed out the idea is now just makes me so happy. It's what my 15 year old self would have wanted. With regards to making an incentive for staying out longer, engine temps would be a good thing to include for that reason, as you have to weight up the risk/reward of pushing your car too soon if a tempting rival opportunity comes up.
You describing the handling was my biggest fear for this reboot of the series. I love how in TXR3 cornering was challenging and you had to really set up weaving through cars. Made you look and plan far ahead. Everything being grippy is EZ mode. Unfortunate. I would like to point one thing out and hopefully get a confirmation from you. When you were describing the handling you were mostly showing off driving an RX8. Speaking from a tons of real world experience: The RX8 is hands down the best handling car ever made IRL. Full stop. Was the handling your were describing true for all cars or just the 8?
The rx8 definitely handled really well out of the box but it was largely the same across the board (at least for every car I tried). The r33 for example practically felt like an F1 car
@@Cascaden-i2vThey are interested in feedback. It's why the game went into early access in the first place. They acknowledged that it's been 18 years since the last entry and the fans who kept the name alive all these years probably know what makes the series work. This isn't some TDUSC shit, this is for the fans first and foremost
Everything about this looks like a dream come true, except for the grip levels and the stiff camera. In the Dreamcast games the camera was loose enough to see the car go sideways instead of the camera being attached to the bumper making everything twitchy looking. Also, this game seems to not even have the rear break loose and hold a slide, which is what made the old games so fun. Each car had a personality, and it was hard to brake before a hairpin and make the drift through the turn without hitting the wall. Which made the game skill based and satisfying to master and gave users a reason to want to upgrade or get a new car.
wow I don't think you could have written a more clueless tone deaf comment lmao. Grippy handling is EZ mode? "The RX8 is hands down the best handling car ever made IRL." LMAO WHAT?! dude's driven one car and thinks it's the best ever. what the hell???? bro probably takes a shit and calls his mom to tell her he's the greatest shitter in the world lmao you are clueless dude I'll entertain this because the handling model of TXR0 is something I've talked to my friends at length about. First off, the grippy handling is more than welcome. I 100%'d TXR0. The handling model in that game is ass. Anything that isn't 4WD is worse than undriveable. They don't even drive like cars and it's very unsatisfying as a car person. Which is extra annoying because A) the FWD cars actually behave quite realistically and b) their DRIFT series has GRIPPY handling and their HIGHWAY BATTLE game has DRIFTY HANDLING??? If you're reading this and haven't played it, you need to experience that difficulty for yourself to really understand. Using the Viper to get the Viper only rivals to show up is just straight up not fun. And that's using deadzone removal and custom curves on a Racon Rev 5 with an extended stick. Literally the most amount of precision you could possibly get short of a wheel. Using a DS2 on original hardware would have probably taken weeks to beat the game. I was very dissappointed when I moved to later games in the series and the handling model was copy paste from TXR0. So, sorry mister "RX-8 is the best handling car ever" but I would think the most knowledgeable person on the planet about car handling would appreciate a game where they made the cars drive more like actual cars and not like ice cubes. And furthermore, when the skill floor rises so does the the skill ceiling. If the handling is grippy now you're going to have a new level of speed, which asks for more car control to facilitate as much speed as possible. A handling model that is "hard" for the sake of being hard is bad by default, and doubly so when its difficulty is solely from its unintuitive nature (and on top of that, unbecoming of what the game is trying to emulate: realistic-ish racing).
Yeah, the chase cam needs work. The stiffness is the main thing that's holding me back from picking up the game. Would like to see customizable settings for it in the future.
He said the review is spoiler free but almost every single car he drives in the video has one. This kind of deceitful content is why HokiHoshi fell off.

So from my personal experience, this is a God send! Literally one of the most nostalgic racing games from my younger days! Now I won't beat around the bush; this is seriously early access. There are a good number of items I would definitely say are going to change, especially the car selection; For a game based on JDM racing, they have yet to add even one of the most cliche of JDM brands, Honda/Acura. But that is nothing compared to the experience you can get from the current revision. It captures so much of what the older generations did right, adds a few QoL improvements, and modernized the graphics engine to the point that I believe 100% that this TXR will be the best version ever made!
If you all have ever play Wangan Midnight Maximum tune, if you noticed the way camera and handling moves it felt same with lil bit twitchy feel.. meanwhile since maximum tune was "slot arcade" the handling was more tight than this and feels more fast paced, like this txr are full complete version of wmt Hopefully modder could add bgm from wmt to this 🤤

Looking at Assetto Corsa Evo and this, TDU SC (which I’ve played for over 150 hours) is an unfinished mess with almost nothing which made the original games so great. It’s such a shame.
TDUSC is the epitome of "how not to revive a franchise"
Tdu is still tdu tho. The game is just unfinished and doesnt work right.
@@mtprince09 No offence, but so far AC Evo did the same mistake as TDU SC. As it stands they made the game always online aswell, which caused you not being able enjoying all of the OFFLINE content because their "servers" are offline. I hope they scrap the always online portion, as otherwise this will be the downfall of EVO
If any devs can do reused assets right, it's the Japanese! They're masters at that.
Look at the Yakuza series, 90% of new release assets are reused, yet every entry feels fresh and are very fun to play, you wouldn't mind reused assets 1 bit because they are done so well.
Which I can't say about Ubisoft or EA
Yes! Yakuza is a great example of focusing on the parts of the game that matter and RGG not reinventing the wheel when they don't have to, and they're better games for it
Agreed. Nothing wrong with asset flips from previous games as long as they're done right.
Same goes for fromsoftware. They reuse what works and then try adding 1 or 2 things here and there.

There should be an in-built Nemesis System for Traffic cars who are constantly being used as Money Farms for the player, where they'll sport a much faster Traffic car than ever before that can give players a challenge. Winning against it yields more rewards than the previous one.

Racing gamers eating good in 2025
2025 is a great year of racing games! I just hope festival racers go scarce
@@rosaria8384 but but what will poor poor forza horizon 6 do? such lowly indie games need to be festival racers because they dont have the funds to change the design ;(
@@rosaria8384 It's time.
Will any of them be on console?
Aqua line tunnel plus the parking area included of the tunnel
The fact that they are (appearantly) releasing a stable, optimized game in 2025 alone is worth praising. I really hope this series will finally get the attention and success it deserves!
I guess one upside of 2025 being an alternate reality of impossible things happening is that it includes TXR coming back
Yeah it's something at least lol
Thank you so much for the heads up for established TXR fans! I'll come back to this video after my playthrough of the early access! Lol
I promise it's worth the wait to go in blind!
Make modding your car to be unique looking actually mean something in-universe.
so your telling me this game isnt a broken mess. works on most hardware and is only $30 in an industry that just seems to be making games more expensive? sign me up im sold
Something I think they nailed is the UI. It looks, feels, and sounds just like that of an PS2-PS3 era racer, it still has a charm to it instead of the soulless minimalist UI that keeps popping up everywhere.

Solid in-depth review as always 👌

This game is PC only lol
@nickwilliams6621 I meant tokyo xtreme racer 3 that was for ps2
Never heard about this title before somehow and what a pleasant surprise. It looks like a modern era old school racing game and a must have for a JDM fan
i feel so blessed. i just found out about this series while browsing through PS2 ROMs to download on my Steam Deck while downloading NFS:MW & Carbon, and i fell in love with these games. then i find out a couple months later they’re making a brand new game that’s completely absolved from corporate oversight. incredible
ive been so hungry of something like that, all modern racing game got me burned out of playing any of em ,this is so cool, cant wait.
Yeah, all racing games nowadays have to be simulators like GT7, Assetto Corsa and Forza Motorsport. Been waiting for a genuinely fun arcade racer that isn't a soulless piece of crap like NFS Unbound and TDU Solar Crown.
ONE MORE DAYYYYYYYYYY CANT WAIT !!!
Rockstar as well....I understand GTA VI takes massive, massive resource to make, but a new Midnight Club would have been incredible.
impossible, rockstar wont do anything that doesn't have that sweet sweet sharkcard money.
If GTA 6 included a playground mode where you can create your own activities to play against AI opponents offline(like midnight club styled racing without needing mc5), the replay value would definitely skyrocket, I'm a sucker for stuff like that, or mods.
the camera feels like a mix of both the WMMT arcade games and NFS Prostreet and I personally like it
Wmmt for sure along with some of the qol improvements they've made. All more than welcome IMO!!
TXR on the DC blew my mind, it was SO good.
@ perfect controller for the game too.
It’s awesome. Buy it. Has Steamdeck support too. I loved TXR2 for Dreamcast and it was like replaying an updated version of that. It’s great.
this sounds exactly what i've been waiting for from a racing game!!!!
I'm so excited i can't wait to start playing
Yeah, after wading through the tiresome Simcades and Sim Racers, it's about time.
so happy! love it! worth every single penny. been playing txr since 99. your opening intro sums it up perfectly. they gotta get Honda onboard to truly be ideal, but buy with confidence. runs great on my 780M laptop (ally, legion go, etc.) can't wait to try it on my big boy PC.
I'll have to watch this when I get off work
about the visuals issues, I 100% agree to you, hope Genki can improve its later And hope they can add more landmark building as well in real life
Imagine Genki updating their current map to be akin to 2025 Tokyo, with new construction projects, the Tokyo Skytree, the updated sections like the Yamate Tunnel and the Yaesu Line, and that underground bypass road that's featured in GT7's scapes that was constructed and completed on 2017.
@@rosaria8384 Yes, I noticed that, but the building @ C1 & New belt line basically they are port from xbox360 ver. its has many simple apartment building model, its the time to transform. Lastly the traffic attention sign board better change to LED Character form just like real life, thx
@@rosaria8384 They did made a couple of changes to the map, it's not entirely reused. You can even see the Tokyo Skytree in the background in quite a few areas of the map, particularly around the New Belt Line (Shinkanjou) Loop.

Got excited when i saw this game. I played in early 2000s on dreamcast. Loved it
What, no stutters in an Unreal game!? That alone is a miracle from Genki!!!
It would be great to have the traffic on a slider so you can turn up the amount.
Wide body kits are definitely needed, I'd also really like to see some bosozoku style cars and kits
"i feel that for most it will instead be a welcome departure from the recent trend of big budget AAA festival racers..."
THIS. this right here is why i am so excited to dive into this new TXR experience. i am so so so damn tired of every modern racing game feeling the need to ape horizon just because it's successful.😭it feels like modern racing games just don't have the same varied character they did in the 2000s and 2010s. ...probably because there's less of them being made overall LOL.
Im pretty sure that mechanic was in Import Tuner Challenge/Shutokou Battle X so it shouldnt be that hard for them to implement
This mechanic was in TXR3. However instead of better quality rivals it would just multiply your money
Buy it. Support games outside of the cringe festival formula
NFS became a really bad, gay game. Nothing like it’s predecessors. So stfu.
oh my god a new TXR? it looks AMAZING!
Very good review. I've never even heard of this series, but I'll definitely be playing it now.
This is by far the most excited I have been for a game to come out since the NFS 2015 (Yes I know the game didn't end up being that good) trailer came out during E3 2015.
I'm shattered it's not coming out to console
TXR Zero was one of my favorite games. Very under rated. This is so exciting! Thank you HokiHoshi.
So stoked to hear of this, def my favorite racer from back in the Dreamcast days.
Small note about the livery editor: People have already shown that it's possible to mod in custom decals, so expect some really wild designs to be popping up as more people get access to the game in the future.
Thanks for reminding me this was coming out. I feel like it's been on my wishlist forever!
Nice review.
TXR was and is my FAVORITE racing game series... So many great memories of that time period 🥹 the early 00's was the best time of my life
All they need to enable on the player camera in UE5 is "Camera Lag".

Its finally back! But, i really hope they get encouraged and have the budget to do another TXR: Drint entry to the modern gaming sphere😇
@@HokiHoshi Thanks for the clarifications and the honestly review of the EA so far. As far as you know have Genki shown interest in taking feedback?
"The RX8 is hands down the best handling car ever made IRL." LMAO WHAT?! dude's driven one car and thinks it's the best ever. what the hell???? bro probably takes a shit and calls his mom to tell her he's the greatest shitter in the world lmao you are clueless dude
I'll entertain this because the handling model of TXR0 is something I've talked to my friends at length about.
Yeah I don't the Japanese peoples obsession with stiff cameras. Talking to you Gran Turismo 7
I wouldn't be too worried about the cam, if genki dont fix it the modders will

Attesa e-ts drivetrain, downforce and only 80mph tf you on
@kepler19B_citizen I hadn't bought the game yet bro, the handling looked weirdly grip focused atleast to a bloke that played ITC and the other TXR games
Yeah, it feels like they ditched the real hard cornering. The cars seam to grip better than the old ones.
I loved TXRZ so I was glad this came out. I haven't played this yet but the way you described the driving, it sounds like it drives like Maximum Tune
3:02 this isn't publically available until the 23rd of january which is the day after tomorrow from when I post this. We can't go enjoy it unless you share your copy.
If you all have ever play Wangan Midnight Maximum tune, if you noticed the way camera and handling moves it felt same with lil bit twitchy feel.. meanwhile since maximum tune was "slot arcade" the handling was more tight than this and feels more fast paced, like this txr are full complete version of wmt
Hopefully modder could add bgm from wmt to this 🤤
I mean the way the camera placement and the movement when you steer feels not just Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune camera feel but also Ridge Racer (2000s Ridge Racer era) camera feel but similarly. But yeah hopefully modders could add BGMs from Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune and Ridge Racer BGMs that "fits" high intense highway racing
Yeay!~ :D
WMMT is sadly stuck in arcades because Namco doesn't realize it yet...gosh I hope it follows the Tekken route.
@@rosaria8384 tbh if they made it like online racing f2p people would loved shit out of it with genki progression style, lookslike genki had step forward for txr, thing is if this game lil bit success they will add more content like on kaido battle, c1 grand prix etc, heck even add battle pass for that exclusive content i will throw that money without hesitation
@@UndercoverBoy833YT HECK YEAH, MOD THE SHIT OUT OF THIS GAME 🤣, MAKE IT A COMPLETE OF WMMT, seriously if you driving on the wangan you could meet devil z black bird etc with their iconic bgm 😭 theme
Thank you, I'll be back tomorrow to watch the rest!
I hope it comes to ps5 someday.
and I hope this game sells well so we get to see this game coming to consoles & Switch 2
It's planed with the full release later 25
It's a shame I don't have a PC set up because I'd buy it, however I only have consoles so I guess I'll be waiting until May--- or probably never if it remeains a Steam exclusive.
I have been waiting for a new game since I was 8. I have been trying to put people on to Zero and TXR3 for forever. I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL IT COMES OUT!! I will be making a video about it when I get my hands on it.
i don't like how the game looks like a unity project tho
Yes the art direction needs work
its an UE5 game tho..
man, genki just came back after years long hiatus, brought TXR back with more modern graphic this year, and somehow you said, "i dont like it cuz look like unity project". like cmon man.
Genki's Games were always very Sub Par Graphically.

looks great, I might pick it up but i'm hoping that if this is successful we'll see a return of the drift series too
I wish you could change the music to older titles music.
The music really makes a big impact.
spoilers
Battle of The Empire in this game is still the exact same ones from TXR3/SB01, which plays when you facing Midnight Cinderella
Man this is bringing tears to my eyes I love this franchise. I had all of them including the one for Xbox I think it's called Extreme tuner challenge. I am so happy that they're bringing this back
