  • I co-founded an indie game studio in 2021. Here is how I used this step to finally work less and take the steps towards a calmer life.

Yes!! Love this video and its message :) I feel like hustle culture was pushed down our throats, but there's so much to be said about making boundaries between your work life and your personal life. Especially as multipassionate people we need time for our other passions :D

Thanks for sharing your story, it's always nice when UA-cam recommends small channels like yours. I am right there with you on the working 40 hours a week, its nonsense frankly. Maybe in some industries more time equals more productivity but I have a feeling in most cases it is not true. Some days I can get in a flow and work 2 hours and get as much done as what on other days takes me 8 hours. I like accomplishing tasks. I don't care if it takes 60 hours or 10 hours, I just want to make progress. I started working from home full-time in 2020 and since then my productivity has skyrocketed and my employer has noticed, though they think I am working 8 hours a day, I honestly only work 3-4 hours and even less some days, but they are very high quality hours. Right now I do work a lot, probably 70 hours, but that is because I am also starting my own game studio and its just me right now. Its great, I love it, so I don't really mind the hours. The goal of course is to work less at some point, maybe when I can do gamedev full time without a 9-5.
