Recently I found a really great idea for implementing new habits and reaching my goals and that lead me to creating a Vision Deck. For me this turned out to be so much better than habit trackers, affirmations or vision boards. Other creators that talk about this concept (they also all give some great examples for what to write on the cards!): Lefie: ua-cam.com/video/3mVpSqBpvBA/v-deo.html Aleci...

I did the Artist's Way about a year ago now and it really changed my perspective a lot, I loved it! I kept up with morning pages during the 12 week journey, but then yeah, dropped the habit shortly after haha. I've tried doing mini versions, like just a page or so (also in goodnotes!) but for me the best is typing my morning pages! Like you mentioned, Cameron has pretty strict rules about it, haha, but my thoughts fly by so fast I can't keep up with them by hand, so typing helped me so much. It is also easily deleted after :) so it's great advice to just make sure they work for you, it's better than not doing them at all!

Ohhh we're the same age!! It's crazy that we're the generation who basically popularized youtube and yet we're scared to make our own channels hahaha but there's definitely a place for us! :)

Yes!! Love this video and its message :) I feel like hustle culture was pushed down our throats, but there's so much to be said about making boundaries between your work life and your personal life. Especially as multipassionate people we need time for our other passions :D

Thanks for sharing your story, it's always nice when UA-cam recommends small channels like yours. I am right there with you on the working 40 hours a week, its nonsense frankly. Maybe in some industries more time equals more productivity but I have a feeling in most cases it is not true. Some days I can get in a flow and work 2 hours and get as much done as what on other days takes me 8 hours. I like accomplishing tasks. I don't care if it takes 60 hours or 10 hours, I just want to make progress. I started working from home full-time in 2020 and since then my productivity has skyrocketed and my employer has noticed, though they think I am working 8 hours a day, I honestly only work 3-4 hours and even less some days, but they are very high quality hours. Right now I do work a lot, probably 70 hours, but that is because I am also starting my own game studio and its just me right now. Its great, I love it, so I don't really mind the hours. The goal of course is to work less at some point, maybe when I can do gamedev full time without a 9-5.

I've been working in the independent gaming industry for a while now, and I must say, you really sum up all the important points one needs to think about! 😊 I'd love to eventually create a small solo narrative game, but I'm afraid to start 🥺 Your video was incredibly insightful to listen to, and I appreciate the approach you take in your work!

Always great see people encouraging others to pick up cozy gaming! 💛 It can seem daunting with the mindset that gaming is either pointless or only for "hardcore" competitive types.
