I looked at our total debt, not counting our mortgage, to see where we are at...$30,557. I am very happy with that. That consists of a student loan, car, credit card, and 2 small loans. Back in 2020 my student loan balance alone was almost $30,000. So we've come a long way. My goal within a year is paying off a credit card, 2 small loans, and at least a good chunk on my car. Student loan and mortgage will be my last challenges.❤🐝
That is definitely doable and you have already done a great job! I love when you guys share how you are doing in the comments because it helps others to see it can be done! 💛🙌
I had to buy 4 new tires last month. I didn’t have the entire amount saved up… thanks inflation! But I had most of it. I fell into the 0% thing as well… until I watched your last video. I paid that card off as I watched you pay off your last couple cards. Now I’m working on my car, 87% paid off… I’m soooo close! Then I have my credit cards… By December 2024… at the latest, I will be debt free. 🎉🙌🏼
Most of it is great! I remember one time - before I was married to Jason- I needed 4 tires and I would have never had the $ for all 4 at once. My Sissy and her husband bought them for me. I was so grateful and I will never forget they did that for me when I really needed the help. 💛 Aaahhh!!! I can’t believe seeing me pay the 0% sparked you to do it, too!! That’s so awesome! You are SO CLOSE! Keep me posted! 💛
Just wanted to say that I have just started watching this channel 😀 and I can say this has been amazing 🎉 I have done Envelope stuffing before and ended up stopping because I put WAY too much Pressure onto myself 😢 You have helped me with knowing that this takes time and discipline!! Right now we are living paycheck to paycheck. But I know eventually, once debt gets paid. I can use that snowball effect to be able to start slowly going into other envelopes. I wanted to sat "Thank You!" Because you take time to explain everything so easily and step by step! You always let people know they are not a screw up, 💯 again this takes time so "Thank You!" Blessings ✨️
We’re on track to be debt free the second week of December. That is if nothing comes up to put a bump in the road😂. I’m so glad you are doing this video. I looked at step three ahead of time and had a little panic attack lol. These videos will help me when I make it to the next step. Thank you so much ❤
You will definitely get it done ! I am so happy to hear how close you are to being debt free!! Yayyyy!!! 🙌 Step 3 seems impossible UNTIL you start. I remember when step 1 seemed impossible and step 2 was really overwhelming- but we can get them done! 💛
I love the fully funded idea!! I have been following you for a bit, and 2 of my kids started asking me alot of questions and now are trying the cash stuffing method also. We have been discussing ways to get a month ahead. So THANK YOU!!! WE NEEDED THIS!!!!
That’s perfect! 💛 I actually really like the month ahead as a safety net to starting . I think that $ can have 2 uses- it’s also an emergency fund you could use if you really needed to!
I get my chore money in 1s and 5s so it’s easier to break and lovingly sort since I don’t get paychecks. The other money I get/save goes towards next week to sort
Oh! This is one of my fave videos of y'all's so far! I love when you share relatable moments so the process is less intimidating. BUT I think my anxiety flowed well with your caffeine rush too. Lol. Frfr. You hit several helpful points for me. I'm totally looking forward to the grocery and wallet vids. I'm pumped! I HAVE my eye on a wallet but not sure it will be stocked when I'm ready... But good timing basically. 😘👏💖
Thank you! I don't know if you saw my comment on one of your previous videos but it was exactly this. The month ahead is exactly what I needed. I know I need to be at least a month ahead in a couple months due to a possible job gap. Thank you!
Happy Friday Jenn 👋🏽 Congrats on being debt free🎉 I was debt free for six month but then I did the unthinkable I started using my credit cards again ugh! 😩 I’m back on track again to becoming debt free again. I had to come back because I forgot to commit on the video so I’m watching til the end. 46:00
Hi Ruth! 👋 Getting back in debt is so easy to do. Don’t feel bad. You are definitely not alone in that. I’m glad to hear you are on track! That’s awesome! 💛
Appreciate your story in this video - I have made the same mistake more than once with credit debt..... I am working hard now to get rid of the debt I had accumulated so I can finally quit working and enjoy my retirement AND afford to live on a fixed income and still be able to do the things I would like to do..
I thank God for this channel! It has helped me so much! I subscribed when I found it and it's made such a big difference just knowing that Im not the only one trying to stay ahead in this financial rat race. Thanks again!💰
Working on a better system for staying a month ahead because I am sometimes all over the place keeping track. Loving the cash planning print out because that's helping with tracking more. Trying to reign in the spending again and keep spending budget lower 🐝❤️🐝
I was debt free this year and fell into the trap with buying my luxury bags 😭🫣 now I have 2 years til it’s paid off. Doing the avalanche method cuz my interests are a pain! % I definitely am saving for me and my hubby’s retirement now as well. Thanks for sharing with us how to budget and cash stuff. Love this 🎉
Great job Jen and I don't know how people survive without a budget especially in today's economy. When you first get started it's scary because it opens your eyes up to just how much you spending & on what. Thanks again
The caffeine was real in this video 😅😅😅 I've been there. Also think it can be a bit of brain adjustment to the new debt-free🎉 way of thinking. If you don't find the wallet you love I have a suggestion! I'll wait for the video to come. I finally started having money for games yay! Still on the low budgeters but I'm happy. Cheers to wealth!
Absolutely love the Channel and the fact that we are in the same state, it helps to see your journey in the midst of our cost of living here. Not sure if you are North or South, but If you can do a video as well to assist those of us who are dealing with higher cost of living as well extra tips on saving methods within our state thank you in advance❤
For sure! I am in Northern currently but we also lived in Southern for years. CA is mind blowing expensive and just keeps going. It can be discouraging but there are absolutely things we can do to combat it. I will write down the idea for a video- stay tuned and I’ll work on that! 💛 Welcome to The Hive! 🐝
Congrats! I have been watching but not posting as I have been pretty ill with the creeping crud...and also recently had a death in the family. Keep up the great work and I will catch up soon hopefully.
I am so happy I am going to start my budget binder in January 2024 and I just place my 1st order for some savings challenges and my 1st 3 were from you
😂😅😊❤ that is so hilarious! Thank you so much. I just open the video to watch it and as you were counting the money I was saying to myself as she got to touch the money today. And then you mentioned it I am in tears like tears rolling down my face laughing again thank you. I appreciate it so very much and I like the little sparkly things you put as emojis. God bless you too sister bees bless you Jen and God bless you April
Great video Jen, ❤shoe rack yes. Yes i can tell the coffee was hitting different on you. Lol😮 No way I would ever drink coffee black but I don’t like the taste of coffee but drink it all day long with ton of sugar and powdered creamer. If that not silly, I don’t know what is.
Yes, I love Emily! She has beautiful products. I actually did pre-order one of her wallets but she unfortunately had some issue with her manufacturing, I think. Maybe I’ll try again soon. 💛
I have a couple of questions. I still don't quite understand How you begin stuffing the envelopes because you already had money in there from the beginning. So how does 1 actually start from the beginning? 1 do they take the money from the savings challenges and put them in there after they write the total amount That's owed?
Have you seen the 3 part series of how to set up your budget? That applies to anyone - on any budget. Your goal would be to take your monthly pay and start with: 1. Your housing, utilities, transportation and food 2. Your necessity bills- like phone and car insurance. 3. Then debt ( smallest to largest monthly payment) 4. If you have leftover- then you start your savings. The part 1 video is here : ua-cam.com/video/RMTzY-1AbuY/v-deo.htmlsi=Fuhkg172akPlU77l
Hi Jen. You sooooo needed that shoe rack. 🤣 I am working on being 2 months ahead, and my emergency fund. You need a wallet, how can you keep track of everything, that's madness right there. lol I have 6 envelopes in my wallet that I use. I am using my regular wallet because I really really like it, so I got something that works for me. Have a great day.
So...I sat down and and made my debt list - mortgage, car, student loan, and personal loan. No credit cards debt at all. We are able to make the monthly payments and still have some extra so I want to start my one month ahead fund and sinking funds. I have my Christmas fund for this year fully funded and $4000 in my Emergency Fund (with a goal of $5000) thanks to a few savings challenges I completed. Thanks for the inspiration. I may not have a whole lot to start with - but every dollar saved is a step in the right direction, right??
I had to scan video to see which one I had on this one! Thanks for watching the older videos! 🙌 So this one is the black lacquer one - which is actually my favorite! It’s from Amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0B9FLHM8R?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title I use craft paper and cut them out to put in slots to make it pretty! 💛💛💛
I'm sorry I hit the same button. So this next part of the question. Is or do they just start putting money in the envelopes?, However much they can afford? My next question is I saw you make a month ahead envelope. But just say you filled 1 of those envelopes like rent And you have it for the month ahead. Once you take the money out of the envelope what do you do? Because you won't be I want the head because you're going to use that money to put it on your rent. Then, will you have you all over again? If so how is that getting you a month ahead when you're just paying that much rent ? Are you supposed to be saving it just in case you need it for an emergency if you can't pay the rent the month that it's needed? So what do you do Or do you put you in a savings account in the bank? Another question is with that month ahead envelope what do you do? Is it separate from the money you're saving for all of your other months to be ahead envelopes.? I'm sorry I just have so many questions because I'm trying to get on track. I'm should be getting some money I hope I think. What should I do because I do a lot of things. The holidays are coming I'm supposed to travel in November, December, January, In march, or April. Also I have a lot of credit card bills that need to be paid so How do I do this? Because I saw you were pain off all your bills. But if I take the money and pay off all my bills 1st then that would make me the money to my credit cards for me to travel. So I don't know whether to just pay some money on the credit cards to get them down and then just use the rest for travel or just pay off the credit cards and have no money. And then put it on the credit card So I can travel? If you can answer all these questions it will be greatly appreciated. I'm sorry my comment is so very long. But you are helping me so much.
I miss traveling when my husband did shut downs in plants those prediem checks paid for our hotel and gas and abt 1/2 week of food then his regular paychecks helped my mom health issues that no insurance would cover she passed 1994 now we don't chase shut downs but we have 1 big debt house ( $53,000 left on it ) then 1 last debt of roughly abt $7,000 then we will free lol Love seeing you and Jason debt free ❤❤❤
I’m glad you did that. I am not sure how many I have currently. I started with about 8 in the very beginning. As time went on and I stuck with cash stuffing, it becomes easy to see where to add one or when you can take one away. Start with what you know you want to control your spending on and you could maybe add a couple sinking funds, too.
I need to vanish our debt. One day at a time. I feel like I need to push harder to do no spend days. I definitely have a spending problem not an income problem. Ugh 😢😅
One day at a time is a good idea. Don’t be too hard on yourself. I actually get discouraged sometimes and think I should be doing this and that but then I remember ALL the progress I HAVE made. I know you and Maria have made progress, too! Focus on that and add one change at a time. 💛🙌
I completely understand the paying debt off and getting back into debt. We got out of debt last year for the 4th time, and we now have a Discover card and 2 vehicles to pay off again. My goal is that by 2025, it's all gone.
It’s something that is just too easy to do. It’s unfortunate but we are encouraged to be in debt. It’s what it considered normal. That’s why Dave always says, “Your such weird people!” to the debt free people. 🤣🤣
Hahaa! Great question! My husband’s company ( the one we moved cross country for) pays for our housing. We are actually in the discussion of RV again. We kicked it around about 6 months ago and decided not to but things are always changing over here! 💛
Congratulation I’m going to watch your Debt Free Video. I know you did the Debt Free Scream. How can I get a copy of that 7 Steps to Debt Free printout?
I looked at our total debt, not counting our mortgage, to see where we are at...$30,557. I am very happy with that. That consists of a student loan, car, credit card, and 2 small loans. Great job Jen and I don't know how people survive without a budget especially in today's economy. When you first get started it's scary because it opens your eyes up to just how much you spending & on what. Thanks again
Yes- exactly. It is a huge eye opener. Most people really don’t realize how much they are spending. It is just a habit.
So much great information in this video, thanks!!!
I started intermittent fasting this week too. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
I actually kind of like it. I hope you do well with it, too!
Keep me posted on how it’s going! 💛
DEBT FEEE SCREAM!!!!!! Congratulations 🎊 🎉

Oh wow, Jason and are going to be the same age in the same month. I'm Dec 7th. I can't wait till I'm completely debt free. Congratulations again 🎉🎉
Great video Jen. Thank you for reminding us of Dave Ramsey's baby steps.

I am so happy I am going to start my budget binder in January 2024 and I just place my 1st order for some savings challenges and my 1st 3 were from you
That’s so exciting! I always think about when I first started- I was so pumped!
And even after a year and a half, I still love cash stuffing! 🙌💛
Good for you getting out of debt. I think I'm going to try to be a mon5h ahead in wages.
Getting a month ahead is such a relief! Do it with me! 💛
Nah, you definitely needed the shoe rack! 👍🏼🤣🤣
Right!! 😂😂
My medical is also 2500. I think I need to due the same. Great video ❤
I definitely need to build it up. Even with that 2400 for deductible and out of pocket- I feel like I’m always paying some medical bill!

Thank you! I really do read every comment and we appreciate all of you in The Hive so much!
I’m so glad I made you laugh! 💛💛💛
Wondering if you added up all those monthly minimum payments and what that number did to you emotionally?
Great video Jen, ❤shoe rack yes. Yes i can tell the coffee was hitting different on you. Lol😮 No way I would ever drink coffee black but I don’t like the taste of coffee but drink it all day long with ton of sugar and powdered creamer. If that not silly, I don’t know what is.
Hahaa! I think we all have a little coffee with our sweeteners! 🤣🤣
Hello Jen from the future 😂😂 your videos are the best. ❤
🤣🤣🤣
You should travel to the show (DR) and go on air to celebrate!
Hahaa! I’d love to meet Dave! 🙌
Do you have the cash envelope dash boards as a free template? Love the design!
Congratulations on debt free journey..
Thank you!! 💛💛💛
Great video!
I would recommend the A7 or A6 wallet from The Aesthetic Dollar, she also has a YT channel.
I am a wallet snob, but I love my Bella Taylor cash system wallet from Amazon.
I think I bought a Bella Taylor!! 💛
I love your channel I'm having trouble cause I get one check a month. I haven't seen a channel like that.
Have you seen the 3 part series of how to set up your budget?
That applies to anyone - on any budget.
Your goal would be to take your monthly pay and start with:
1. Your housing, utilities, transportation and food

I’ll get it together! Lol!
Thanks for watching today! 💛💛💛
Hey Jenn! I am going to get a month ahead one bill at a time and I need a new wallet too.
Hey Tamika! I swear we are on the same wavelength with everything! 💛💛💛
Great minds think alike ☺️
Great

I had to scan video to see which one I had on this one! Thanks for watching the older videos! 🙌

your nails look the best like this
Thank you so much!!! I really am liking the more natural colors right now. 💅
I miss traveling when my husband did shut downs in plants those prediem checks paid for our hotel and gas and abt 1/2 week of food then his regular paychecks helped my mom health issues that no insurance would cover she passed 1994 now we don't chase shut downs but we have 1 big debt house ( $53,000 left on it ) then 1 last debt of roughly abt $7,000 then we will free lol
Love seeing you and Jason debt free ❤❤❤
Yes- those power plant jobs are awesome! That’s so nice that you were able to help your Mom when she needed it. 💛
Awesome video.😊
Thanks for watching today!! 💛
I sat and made a list of all our expenses, how many envelopes do you have?
I’m glad you did that. I am not sure how many I have currently. I started with about 8 in the very beginning. As time went on and I stuck with cash stuffing, it becomes easy to see where to add one or when you can take one away.
Start with what you know you want to control your spending on and you could maybe add a couple sinking funds, too.
@@2SisterBees okay, I put property taxes, eye glasses, car, truck, and house insurance, things like that.
@@2SisterBees yeah you're right. We all slip up sometimes but beating myself up over a pizza lunch will send me into a spendy spiral of doom 😂
Hi how can I get a copy of Dave Ramsey.
Right here!
cdn.ramseysolutions.net/media/pdf/fpu_babysteps.pdf
Do you think this method is confusing me because I wanna get 1 check a month? And I just pay my bills every month. So how am I saving a month ahead?
You are one of many who has mentioned getting paid monthly- a video for you guys is coming up!! I promise!! 💛💛💛💛
Ty, so vy much. Love you ladies!😁
I’m so glad you have your goal set- I’m rooting for ya! 👏
❤ good evening how are you doing today ❤
💚
Hello Jenn

Hahaa! Great question! My husband’s company ( the one we moved cross country for) pays for our housing.
We are actually in the discussion of RV again. We kicked it around about 6 months ago and decided not to but things are always changing over here! 💛
