I am beginner at the game. I am a main heal but noticed that, very often, people will not play tank. So I am learning to use Thor as another hero so I can play more roles. He's fun to play even as a beginner. It's a though learn tough. As for automatic wins/losses, I've noticed looking at my game history, that, as bronze, you can be paired against vastly superior ranked opponents. And from what I can see the amount of those can substantial. So I expect the automatic loss rate will be even higher for quite a while ( until I catch up and become good enough). I do take notice of your advice regarding what to do when having big loss streaks. So, now, what I do when that happens, is spend some time fighting against hard bots, to warm up again, regain a bit of confidence and work on the basics of the characters I want to play. People are more chill there and it is certainly helping a bit. Still, nothing beat doing the grind tough I guess. Hopefully, I can learn to be better at thor thanks to your guides :)
what i find hilarious 3:05 is that so many strange players keep their shield up when face to face with a melee character, which means either they don't know that the shield only blocks projectiles OR they forget about it. one of my favorite things to take advantage of when you're going tank on tank

Im d1 with thor (and still climbing) and idk how you play thor so chill. I prob should focus more on weaving in hammer throws rather than shift spamming, and focusing more on taking small fights. It's hard in low elo when it feels like 6 people are all staring you down a corridor, thor feels super squishy without the shift spam maneuverability to dodge hits.
I would be surprised if he doesn't keep that as an anchor bonus, but truthfully I think he will be a lot weaker and might not be able to 1v1 as many hero's as he can right now Magik and Wolverine are ones that ring the most
If you checkout nexus mods and type in Marvel Rivals FPS mod there's an insanely good guide on how to maximize your FPS while also making your game not look like poop. I had an INCREDIBLE amount of crashes even with my entire PC crashing, but this fix has allowed me to stream on twitch & youtube at the same time with no crashes.

Quick play can be your best friend, don't be afraid to spend a day grinding new hero's for the fun of it. The ranked grind and seeing the numbers go up aren't always your best friend, have fun with that shii bruh 💪

I have 2 questions for ya 1. Do you have any tips on not missing dashes. Especially with characters like full hp mantis running at 100mph across your screen 2. what’s your thought process when you decide to use awakening when fighting someone
I answer the 2nd one a lot in my advanced guide there's a big section for awakening. As for the primary question that just takes a lot of practice. My biggest tip would be, play as patient as possible when casting it. I always say shoot the ability a half second after you were originally going to because a lot of the time enemies will last second dash expecting you to dash and you can catch them off guard holding.

Focus on when you're using your shift and don't fully commit to engaging on a play unless it's just you and the enemy alone. Use your F when you're near teammates mainly because you're caught off guard really easy. Check out my advanced guide for more awakening tips !
This sounds like I'm shilling, but after watching your videos, I went from having the most deaths and doing nothing to carrying most of my games in one day.
May make him op but i think Thor's AOE bubble should reduce damage taken by Thor and his allies by 50% and destabilize and slow enemies to set up combos with ultimates as well. Most of the tanks need a few tweaks here or there to truly make them feel more impactful for players not in the top 95% and would encourage more players to play them out of choice not necessity.
That doesnt make sense to me tho, the whole fun of learning a hero is the challenge in mastering them. Why make it easier for the plebs? Just get good at the hero.
@@shaf2806(On my second point in terms of Vanguards being selected more) I get what you are saying i solo que and getting to plat 1 (2 tricking Thor/Magneto) was rough mainly because if i was not tanking the guys who did were pretty bad at it. Lower ELO players for the most part just don't know how to tank properly. I think for the Vanguard role to be occupied by more willing players is just to make the class have more of an "impact" buffing damage would be overpowered. I think either more CC/utility or a lil sustain for example To Thor who needs to be pocketed hard if he's solo tanking. When the season buff ends tanks like Venom and Thor will be weaker (-100hp season bonus)
Good stuff on Thor but 30 ain’t nuthin. I’ve been using Thor since the playtest. Guy is broken and becomes dps in a tanks body it’s dumb 37 hours later and works every time I’m in diamond 3 now without losing once. But I’m not flexing I’m just saying how cracked this tank is

If you want high fps I would recommend using the graphic preset of balanced or performance. The presets in this game are pretty accurate
I just stopped playing marvel rivals till I finish my new PC. 80 fps on a game like this ain't enuff.

how would you play solo tank into peni groot? it feels impossible. I can't enter site cus walls and covered peni traps
I would play super slow break her mines and look to engage after wards mainly peni is nothing if her mines are gone

Don't miss shift and use awakening when you need to do damage out of melee and you won't need to use shift.

I really like that idea of having to play around your bubble as some sort of shield that's very unqiue!
