I LOVE this song, I hope you like it too. IF you wanna skip all the looping you can go straight to the top of the song at 2:10! (told you it was a long intro)! Hit subscribe! Thanks!
Hi Luke, I love watching your loop covers. I am just wondering about you drum machine/keyboard - do you have everything connected into the loop directly or do you have to go through a computer. I have a Boss rc30 and just wondering if it is possible to link in keyboard like you without using a computer
Hey! I appreciate it! And I had the same thoughts for a long time! I found one way to do it ...it isn't perfect but it's what I did in this video. here is me explaining a little bit - ua-cam.com/video/ZpJMGOrV1AY/v-deo.html Cheers!
Oh thanks so much for that link and explanation Luke. I hadn't come across that video yet (I have watched so many of your videos so surprising). Exactly the kind of thing I need to get. Have an awesome rest of your week and I look forward to seeing your next video - from Bridget
Hey Rick! I used the ammoon MIDIPLUS mini Engine Pro so it's not connected through a computer at all. It's just using that Midi engine (essentially turning the midi keyboard into a ...normal keyboard? lol) This video is a little old though so there are probably better ones out there by now!
Hey Carolina! I use a USB cord straight from my looper and record with Logic. If you don't use a looper pedal you can get a USB mic or a audio interface (Focusrite Scarlett Solo is what I use). Hope this helps!
Once again, an awesome cover! The one you did of Coldplay and the Chainsmokers was good, but this one's better. What kind of sample pad did you use for the drum beat? I do a lot of live looping and feel like my beat-boxing may get too repetitive.
Thanks Jamie! Yea, I like this one more too. I beatbox too sometimes and feel similarly so I totally get what you mean. I am using the ammoon MIDIPLUS mini Engine Pro External USB Sound Module MIDI connected to my midi keyboard and I just found one of the drum patches that I thought worked for the tune. Hope that helps! The midi engine isn't overly amazing but it does the job!
Hey Luke, just wanted to say thanks for all your videos. It was actually your channel that inspired me to start looping with a friend of mine and now we have started our own youtube channel "The Pump Clips". Would be awesome if you checked us out but just wanted to say thanks for all the inspiration.
Hey man! This comment made my day! That's awesome that you started your own channel for looping stuff! I will definitely check it out. Congrats and keep going! Stoked to be a part of the journey.
@@lukejamesshaffer thanks buddy, we live in different countries so it's a bit of a challenge but unfortunately I cant sing so it is what it is 😂 Looking forward to the next video!
what a nice cover ! I really loved the loop and the voices. But the drums disappointed me... I prefer when you do everything with the guitar and the sound of this VST is not so good... but the rest is awesome !
Fair enough Paul! I wasn't overly stoked about the midi drum sound either but I wanted to give them a little more weight than my normal guitar 'kchucking'. Thanks for watching dude!

But most people would like to witness how you do something beautiful from scratch 😊👍
3 years later and still coming back to this. You got me into looping sir, forever grateful
That one you nailed it! Your voice is perfect for the song. The looped voices for the chorus are amazing 👏👏👏👏

Crack!🎸
Just know that in the original the guitar is tuned to either EADGBD# OR EABGBD, whichever one you prefer, but the second is the accurate
Okay! Thanks for the info
Sounds great!! Do u use a soundcard to get the sound in to the computer or how do you do it? I've been struggling with this

Can you do fix you
This is awesome man! What mic are you using for this?
Thanks! It’s the Rode NT1-A!
Awesome!! We also made a cover of Yellow just today! Don't hesitate to give your advices :)
