The tier 9 is almost always better than the tier 10 variant. That's my experience.
@@nson__ facts. From my personal experience, I was able to brawl and hold back alot of pushes in The E75 then I did with the E100.
@@Texasmule as QB says you generally get better matchmaking at tier 9, the tier 10 looks to weak to be enjoyable in my opinion but cant complain till we get our hands on them, at the very least its new content and something to grind

Actually looking forward to these, they seem well rounded and not absurdly broken like the BZ-176.
They're well rounded for the wrong gameplay tho
They're yet again another hulldown line and are prettymuch unusable as conventional heavy tanks
The lower plates are pennable from ANY angle, so angling is useless but their turrets are unpennable and they have nearly invisible weakpoints on the top of the tank. Wargaming is just going all in on the horrendously boring and toxic hulldown meta and i hate it

Point is all their hull armor is atrocious and not even useful when angled. And they have pretty damn good frontal turret armor tier for tier and basically no cupola

Na man, they are boring tanks. Copy paste, except for the boosters… they couldve given these vehicles derp guns. Balanced derp guns that is. That was the main selling point for me
I just love how Wargaming originally said that these tanks were meant to offer two different types of guns like the japanese heavies, released the tier 8 premium with a monstruous gun and finally announces that the tech tree vehicles will only have the rocket mechanic in common with the BZ-176...
probably did it cause of the absurd unbalancedness of the premium tier 8.

The tier 9 has chinese leopard 2 hull copy, the tier 10 has the turret copy. They are from the 80's and 90's. Someone talked about this somewhere, sadly I don't remember where. And it seems the wg lies about that turret being an 80's leopard copy, saying instead that it is based on some chinese design.

Seeing what these tank have now become, I feel like they would've fit better as an alternative heavy line for the japs.
About the guns, it seems that wargaming have removed them (because of thé tuer 8 premium ?) because these tanks were originally planned with bigger guns. the TX should have had a 180mm with 1600 dmg (for he) and ~1000 dmg for hesh. It's sad because it makes very generic tanks suddenly without them.

Tier 9 is a 1980s hull with a proposed 2000s upgrade project of a Leopard II style turret, developed with German coop. It was meant to be a Chinese take on the Leopard 2. Basically tier 8+ are various MBT projects.
So much for WG's no MBTs promise and "Leopard 2 is too modern..." BS.

the German-inspired turret is actually the tier 10 one (like it's litterally a 1224 turret) while the tier 9 has a 90s hull (looks like an elongated 85-I hull with an extra roadwheel). While the tier 9 turret is from the 2000s it is not from a MBT project but from an upgrade for the Type-62 (Type-62G9
They did originally have crazy guns like the BZ-176 but they were removed.
Maybe WG remembered through their vodka fueled binge that they made HE shells absolute ass lol

This is brilliant. Shame the guns are so limited. I'm glad the bz176 is just a unique tank instead of just a premium of a tier 8 like most tier 8 branch forerunners

Seems like the premium is the most powerful, the 160mm gun has some of the best overmatching that the rest of the tree doesn't. It also has the best armor. Typical PTW.

Kinda sad that the prem is basically better than even the tier 9&10 but oh well. not really excited for this line but I'll still get it since I got every other line. Also the tier 9 seems like it will be better than the tier 10 tier for tier.
Those weld patterns on the BZ75 make it kinda look like the wedged part are separate pieces...reminds me of the modern Leopard 2A7 turret with the modular wedges on the front of the turret lmao
The turret is inspired by the Chinese Leopard project. If you think about it, the entire tank was inspired by that prototype.
@17:34 45mm plate actually means that 136mm guns and larger can overmatch it, which does add notably the Conway with the bigger gun, Type 4 Heavy and Type 5 Heavy with the smaller gun option to the list of tanks that can overmatch it. Also one thing that you didn't notice on the tier 9 tank is that the 8 degrees of gun depression isn't over the whole front. It goes down to 4.5 over both of the front corners for some reason. So one ought to be careful with that on a ridgeline, if that is intentional.
On the other hand I'm glad that they apparently scrapped the idea of massive derp gun heavy tank line seeing how brokenly OP the BZ176 is, but this leaves this line kinda lackluster and uninteresting.
Meanwhile the prem BZ is not gonna go anywhere and wont be changed 'cause premium... yeh thanks WG...
He was probably thinking of high tiers, but if QB is surprised at a 50% horsepower engine upgrade, wonder what he'd think to know the Hetzer has 120% more horsepower fully upgraded than stock.
So tier 8 premium tank has more damage than tier 10 and pretty broken lower plate...sure
Very nice preview of the tech tree.But one thing i think QB missed about the BZ-75 is the shape of the turret front, the fact the bottom side of it looks like a really really big shot-trap.I remember back in the day i used to hit shot-traps on mantlets on the T-32 and T-29 consistently.BUT! They are TINY compared to the whole face front on this monster.Even if you dont hit the THREE coupolas, you can just wing it and hit the bottom part of the turret and still pen,because of the richochet into the very thin top hull armor. Personal opinion,the tier 10 is just a downgrade from the tier 9.
always what i find funny i show you gameplay of the tier 10 yes ok that's what we grind to but it would be also nice to see QB take and gameplay of the tier 9 tier 8 and tier 7 to see how they really feel in battle compared to just showing stats and if QB thinks that the lower tiers needs any tweaks at all from actually playing in them before the patch is released

Honestly the test server is pretty much Tier 10 only. Best thing to do is watch my release stream where I'll probs play at least the T7 and 8 possibly 9 too.
Actually, this looks pretty good, no more F*** OP derp guns and they look balanced with those weak spots.
In regards to module damage. Yesterday playing on the test server in 4 games I did 4 ammo racks to these tank by my AMX M4 54. Shooting it’s right side of the upper plate while being above this tank. So as right side of their lower plate
That bar on the back in practise will still be like trying to shoot a pixel because dispersion in this game is horrendous.
Thats what this game has effectively become: "try hit the pixel arcade"

I’m not sure if anyone mention this already but before BZ-176 derp change there were leak picture showing the tank can change to a derp cannon but seems like WG took them off afterwards but we’ll see if wg decides to put them back.
WG eventually removed all derp guns planned for BZ68 and BZ75, due to how crazy BZ176 was in Tier 8. Imagine a 60-ton heavy tank, that goes 65km/h with a jet booster and a solid turret, and a 180mm nuke cannon with 240 pen and 1400 dmg premium HE round...The entire Tier 10 meta will be shaken to its bones.
this may be unpopular opinion but why not xdd. I prefer the most op toxic tanks actually not being pay to win tanks, branch ones. I would give the tier X the highest alpha in the game to compensate the weak points.
@@4lexma620 Tier X had gun with 1060 dmg, 225 penetration and 30 sec reload, sound balanced to me. With out this gun, there is no point to get this tank.

Buff the weakpoint of the BZ 75. A tier 6 can pen them reliably. Probably no one will play this new branch if those stupid weak spots remains...
I have the top engine on type-58 but i am missing the middle one (i guess i got the top engine from other tech tree), do i need the middle engine aswell in order to unlock the BZ or is only the top engine enough?
They all have their best gun unlocked from the start because WG removed the derp gun options.

using a turbo with a rocket tank , maybe if its adding a 4th use of the rockets that would make more sense.
In a way I am relieved they did not put the big alpha HE derp guns on them, because I would have been tempted to grind this line as fast as possible, only to have WG nerf them to crap (like they did with the Japanese heavies).
Question, on the Tier 10, it looks like you can Ricochet a round from the Lower part of the turret into the Hull Roof which is only 30 mm of armour. Would that be fesible?
The turret profiles remind me a lot of modern tans like the Leo2, Type 10, Type 99 and the Challenger
from side you can see (16:32) that front wedges are actually filled with composite armour just like modern tanks
i fail to understand why they would make the tier 8 premium with 850 alpha and the tier 10 650 alpha.... surely they should be the other way round

I believe the Howitzer guns are not yet in this iteration of the public test, but i am excited to see what they are (altho theyll probably suck or just be alright)

So, they removed the derp guns from all tech tree tanks and "forgot" to develop new ones to make this branch different. Maybe they end up forgotten and irrelevant like the track feature Yoh tanks.
If they are going to leave so many weak spots on the tier 10 and make it so slow, maybe give it a weird and fun gun like on the BZ-176

They must've made them out of lego when designing them.
Considering the tier 10 gets not 1, not 2 but 3 relatively big turret weakspots, plus extra weakspots when using gun depression at a very slight angle and a gigantic lower plate, I do not see this tank getting popular at all.
I'm all for tanks having turret weakspots, but this seem excessive. Whilst plenty of other tanks just lack any kind of weakspot on the turret.
QB, those flaps are called sponsons (Which is a term shared with ships)
Week points on top made BZ75 seem even worse than the YOH tanks. And I think the early news about this tank mentioned something like a 180mm gun, now where did that go WG?
Unless they buffed it, the 705A has trash pen on it's prem round. It really struggles against things like the 279

From lots of testing me and some buddies have done, the Tier 10 is atm not really worth it, the Tier 9 is tier for tier better in every case, as well as that the T10 turret is riddled with shot traps and weakspots, also

I love how he's like all you'll have to do is aim at the week point and it's no problem penning...oh QB if it were only that simple...the next thing is your round actually has to go where you're aiming then the pen RNG has to work in your favor and you have to hope you don't hit a screen or get an armor not hit...so ya simple...watch out for those week points fellas and good luck!

Whoa wait everybody forgot about the teaser WG showed when they first pre released its stats what happened to them having that giant 180 MM and 160 MM gun? Was that only for the premium? Cause they are just gone now when did they decide to just switch back and give the tier 10 the 152mm I thought that is what was supposed to be special about the tier 10 is that massive 180 MM calliber gun along with the rocket boosters? @16:01 Just a guess but any tank designer, they are not going to hope an explosive weak point would not be shot at.
Whereas modern ships and missile batteries, they are design in part to not take direct fire. Considering how close tanks are in combat, they dont have that luxury of being indirect fire.
That surely heavy tanks wouldn’t require the enemy not to hit an explosive propulsion system because in doing so, that would be critical. Safe to assume that Chinese designers are grounded in their use case of battle tanks.
I was hoping the guns would be the same HESH style gameplay as the bz 176 you can either pen for high dmg or switch rounds for lower ap dmg. WG never fails to disappoint.

I thought of the spoonerism for rocket boosters out of habit and I can't unthink it. From now on somewhere in the back of my mind I'm going to hear the sound of a cock-a-doodle-doo every time someone activates their bucket roosters.

I was so excited for this line… until I saw how incredibly horrendous the weak points are on most of the tanks. Like I understand having a weak point or two, but these are massive. You have no way to hide them and everything in the game can pen them. To go along with that most tanks don’t even have weak points… how are you supposed to be competitive with these? Why would I spend the time to get them?
I'm fine with the tree up to T9, that will be my stop anyway :)
BZ-166 gun reloading time is 15.5s, 3.87 rpm,1626 dpm, guess they already nerved it
I get error when I try to enter common test. Any tips how to solve this problem? I tried to reinstall game, I have account since 2012, I deleted folder on appdata, I uninstalled mods.

With the stock gun on the tier 7 being good, and the 8 and 9 both having their best gun as the stock/only gun, it seems like a very good like for free-to-play players. All that said, not a very interesting line. The T8 prem BZ is wild and while I'm glad these aren't as good, I was hoping they would be more exciting.

I think the best tank is the tier 8 premium that has almost nonexistent weakspots and the biggest derp gun of all these tanks.
Definitely less excited, but glad they're not looking like OP monsters. I almost feel that the tier X will regret their life choices in many games, with all those lol-pen weakspots across the entire roof. A weakspot is good, but in combination those are nearly the entire width of the turret.
Nice of WG to release the real Tier 10 as the Tier 8 premium instead :)

@quickybaby the bz75 tier 10 has a bigger armor problem with the turret. The angled bottom part of the turret front is a huge shot trap in my experience shells bounce off the turret and bounce strait Down into the hull roof surprising often
That can actually happen in WoT? I didn't know they have any shell physics in the game...
@@kubka4 There is, you can bounce of one tank to damage another that stands nearby. Not sure about the same tank tho.
@@robertassmaguris8539 yup you can do, it's rare because the shell has to ricochet and not just fail to pen, but it's happened to the front of my Maus' turret a few times

People are really quite funny the unrealistic requests and expectations they have. In the same sentence almost they will complain about power creep, call this new line boring despite it having rockets and being able to get to the best positions as fast or faster than medium tanks, complain about the tanks not having the absurd HE guns, and also complain about the hull down meta while at the very same time complaining that the T10 has weak spots on top therefore it's useless.
U should compare it to the 60TP

I'm definitely happy to see WG won't put those abominable arty guns on them, like the disgustingly OP/Broken BZ-176.
But the tier X does seem very meme'y, and not very strong.
The tier 9 however looks to be very interesting and competitive.

Feels familiar to the yoh tanks. Average tanks with a gimmick. Last time it was the tracks. Now it's rockets.

the t8 upper plate is a bit overkill lmao. Who thought this was a good idea to make such trolly armor. Just make it smooth like the rest of them lol.

Hmm. A bit disappointed. Was sorta hoping they'd be a fun, derpy tree like the BZ-176. I hope WG do a wee bit of adjustment. The armour modelling looks fine but I want some more interesting guns.
I think these were suposed to have a choise of 2 guns a big ap and he derp gun. Or did wg realise the he des not really work with less than 225mm of pen at higher tiers. Little bit like the Bz-176 that had originaly the 1100 damage 70mm pen shell that got switched to 200mm pen ap because the 70mm he pen on a heavy tank is useless. Almost as if wg knows they fuck up with the he "rework" .
70 mm HE with 1100 alpha and 225 mm AP with 650 alpha would be just right
Go look at all the tech tree heavy tanks at tier 7. Notice the increase in powercreep when every new branch is added.
