I just realized, from the same prayer scene back in the ARR opening, out of all the people they shown only Thancred and Yshtola made it this far. Everyone else is either dead or forced to be absent
Hey Y'Shtola tried TWICE to die. Teleporting into the Lifestream on two different planets. Though was pulled safely out of them. it's also a bit of a callback to the "End of an Era" cinematic that was played when 1.0 was shut down and 2.0 started, showing the Scions praying in their attempt to re-seal Bahamut, especially the way Thancred tightens his hands.

@@curemoonlight4509 I wonder how the Warrior of Light would've won against all the enemies if he didnt take his time to get good at what he does. That's what my statement was supposed to mean.
I know someone commented on another video for this battle that. In the first phase she’s throwing powerful attacks at you and does 2 oblivions, but in the 2nd phase she does 3 attacks that are repeating and not really powerful. Also the one attack where she swats her wings over and over. Looks like a child struggling to swim and prevent themselves from drowning, but it can also symbolize she’s failed and is scare. Especially after surviving 2 oblivions that should have killed us, but it’s also the love of our friends that protected us and the love of our tank to protect their comrades in battle. This battle I truly feel has alot of meaning and feelings. The song also is beautiful because with the lyrics it truly means through wings of hope we will stand tall and carry on through the darkest of times and we won’t give up and will be strong.
It's Thordan all over again. A massive attack that's supposed to be the finishing move gets tanked and the villain gets spooked into a panicked flailing. Further the song of oblivion is answered with our song of hope symbolized with the bright light pushing back the darkness.
Oh you’re right! I forgot she calls the LB3 Dynamis. Tank LB3 is the love and desire of the Tank to protect their comrades with shielding, so a DPS LB3 is the desire to destroy the threat to their comrades and the star; and Healer is the love and hope to keep the others alive, even pushing past the cost of avoiding death
I also love how well the lyrics match up to the attacks. Like when the lyrics say “on wings of hope you rise up through the night higher oh higher” it’s literally when she opens her wings to hit us with despair and is just attacking through it to stop her.
It is an ending of one tale. To open to being an Adventurer once again. No, longer some savior or God. To be...well normal explorer. Also, to tease Y'Shtola more.
With the help of true comrades, WoL shows that dynamis responds to Hope more than Despair. The universe itself wants to believe, and in that moment, WoL is its avatar. The literal Hope of the Universe.
Endsinger failed to realize one thing. The Warrior of Light and their friends have seen the world come close to falling into rule. Watched friends, family, and allies fall before their eyes. They came out on top and saw the one of the greatest and most terrifying powers at work, Hope. All give them the strength to push through and even saved WORLDS from destruction. I mean the Warrior of Light is also the Warrior of Darkness. The balance between the two. The chosen champion of Hydaelyn. Even come so far as to even best her in combat. A being of still limitless power. Even if she herself was dying. She passed on her gifts to the Warrior(s) and it is why in the end. Once the adventuring is done. The wars have settled. Peace has been achieved for a time. The old Warrior will lay down and pass on from the mortal coil. To be reborn anew. As a Godlike being to defend the Source and usher the souls of the fallen to be reborn. Even as centuries pass. Their mortal tales now as Legends and they will be seen as more like mythical gods than beings of flesh. To which maybe they will shape a new group of adventurers to end up being...Warriors of Light.

The thing I really love about getting The Final Day is that there's usually someone who's about to finish Endwalker and there's people who always mark this fight as a cause for celebration.
I really love this fight.. not that I hate the boss, but on the contrary, I felt sadness and pity... the devs really did a phenomenal job to create The Endsinger (well, not just The Endsinger, but the whole Endwalker expansion). It made me feel that this isn't just about winning and stopping the end of the world, but also bringing hope to the lost. Her expression says it all. For the last boss to close one long chapter in our journey. I have no word but to praise everyone involved in creating this... masterpiece.
"we've been here before" from Thancred always hits a bit different.... Depression sucks a lot, and for a long time, and this fight and entire arc genuinely revitalizes me to keep going.
I've been waiting on a patch for this theme since release and I really have to point this out by now. I can't put on this track without sobbing like a baby. Yoshi-P, please fix!
The pure power that must've been flowing through our WoL's as the power of Dyanamis, and their friends prayers, flowed through them, must've been intense. This is hands down the best way to end this expansion, showing that hope will always triumph
I wish I could say FFXIV was a perfect game to play but it can be slow, there can be a lot of reading and it can be hard to follow. But it’s moments like these that make the journey so worth it.

Did you have sound effects off too? It looks and sounds great, but hearing player voices but no sound effects was distracting
@@Queen_Zora I didn't know how to turn off the voices off party members. I was trying to figure out a way to hear bosses' voice only.
@@kaelyoshim5234 fair enough, I was mostly curious. I'm not sure how to do that either, unfortunately.
I know this is so cheesy but it honestly bring a tear to me eye. How absolutely perfect this is.
It couldn't be any other way, it's just cheesy enough
Any time I feel like the weight of the world is bearing down on me and there is no hope, I always come back to fight the Endsinger. In recent months, the pain and fear has been overwhelming, but *this fight*, this incredible story, reminds me to keep pushing forward no matter what.
The Maker's Ruin will never fail to give me strength and hope, and paired with Footfalls? Perfection
Here's a friendly reminder that, in this situation? She's not the boss. *_YOU ARE._*
Phase 1: We're fighting a losing battle
Phase 2: I'm not stuck here with you. YOU are stuck here with me.
the coolest feeling about the gameplay aspect of this fight for me when i first did it
when you summoned the other players, my GF and i were in a party, both of us had cleared ultima ultimate at the time and the other 6 players who summoned in were also legends of some kind and everyone was all cheering and pogging in the chat it was so fun
we dumpstered that fight and this phase really felt like the counterattack. it was really good. insanely memorable
Was literally bawling when the scene changed to our friends praying to bring us back.
"I won't stop praying until I know they're safe"
Probably one of the coolest video game moments ever
The Endanger actually did it. She forced the Warrior of Light into their second phase
"this can only end in decimation!"
Well yeah. Yours.
Nice mouse cursor in the middle on the screen video
This so much
The thing I really love about getting The Final Day is that there's usually someone who's about to finish Endwalker and there's people who always mark this fight as a cause for celebration.
WoL: "call an ambulance"
"But not for me."
Best memories.
i'll say i sat with a satisfied smile
"we've been here before" from Thancred always hits a bit different....
Depression sucks a lot, and for a long time, and this fight and entire arc genuinely revitalizes me to keep going.
Master speech
When the seeming game over happened i went "do the ff4 ending, do it, do it, do it... YEEEEESSSSSSSSSS
To quote another comment:
"Hey Endsinger!"
*This kicks in*
"I didn't hear no bell."
This is our enrage
If you had a screaming FemRoe wearing a slick red coat? I'm not sorry. 😁
All fights need a theme song
when people keep failing the 1st phase:
me: 1:38
So fucking weeby and anime…and I LOVED every second it!
The Bird of Hermes is my Name.
Eating my wings...
*To make me tame.*
Endsinger started hearing boss music.
You don't beat the WoL you survive the WoL... Or prolonged the WoL
WHAT IS THIS DEFIANCE?!
Her tears are no longer a mechanic in the fight.
Yours are.
Can Yoshi P top this!?!? This was insane.
Then Wuk Lamat shows up out of nowhere cuz wol just a side character now
I won't even be mad if they don't top this in 7.0
Someone have the JP version of it ?
Hold up were one them reapers an aura if so that might be me
Peak anime moment
I kinda didn't like those final MSQ missions, kinda predicted how it would play out. But uh. The start of the trial was fine, felt like the usual FF final boss. And then this happened. And oop there I go ugly crying for the entire duration of that second phase
Bro got upset about predicting missions 💀
The thumbnail makes her look like she has a lower half, I know it’s Zenos but still. 😆🤣
While Endwalker is heavily influenced by FF4...did anyone notice Endsiger has super strong Emperor Mataeus vibes when his light half took over Heaven in FF2 (Dawn of Souls Soul of Rebirth on GBA and FF2 PSP expanded story with the characters who died helping Firion and co)?
gives me FF9 final boss theme, out of left field and embodies a core aspect of life.
@@phrogman459 Basically like Heaven Emperor Mataeus in FF2 lol. Necron in FF9 was just a no. At least Mataeus taking over Heaven falls in line with continuity as his dark half took over Hell.
I loved the music so much, but damn matron was such an emo child lmao
Pwnage.
Kinda fucked up when you think about. Faith and prayers were given to the warrior of light to accomplish their mission....faith and prayers summon down primals... eh eh ;D
But those prayers are carried through dynamys in this case, not aether.
I mean it's not fucked up, basically every OP being was a primal or a person that became a primal out of the prayers and aether imbued in them. Hydaelyn included, i think endwalker just breaks the whole "primals are bad" idea
@@ferrestist1678 primals by nature can be dangerous as large enough beings of aether will have an effect on their surroundings if I remember rightly however, the bunnies told us the ascians had been teaching flawed creation rituals to the beast tribes to enhance that danger really making it much more noticeable than it should have been for their size. So zodiark probably had to go, the rest just needed better summoning.
@@ferrestist1678 well i mean XD think about it... that would also mean were primals ourselves in a joking manner but not joking.
@@loomingdeath1758 That is explicitly denied by Venat/Hydaelyn when she tells us our aether can't be influenced by others in that way, so even in a "joking, not joking" manner, it's impossible
_my dumb self accidentally disliking_
Love this, my guy
ah yes. the time where to power of frinedship saved the universe. totaly lame
It's Dynamis. Endsinger's (the boss) strength literally comes of the power of "hatred, loneliness, hopelessness" which probably according to your standards is just as "lame"
@@kaelyoshim5234 yes, it is lame
@@kaelyoshim5234I wouldn't worry about this guy. Their opinion can't tarnish the beauty this story holds.
ew english dub
You do know that the English dub is the original one?
