Although a few facts are incorrect, overall a good presentation of America's worst maritime disaster! You are keeping the story alive, which was the goal of all the Union survivors until the last one passed away in 1941. That's now the objective of the Association of Sultana Descendants and Friends, an organization I started in 1988, which now has hundreds of members nationwide. In a couple of years, there will be a state-of-the-art Sultana Disaster Museum in Marion, Arkansas, a small town near the final resting site of the Sultana, now many feet underground. Norman Shaw
OK, so maybe not deadlier than the Titanic... But this is a frickin' river steamboat! The fact that this small vessel is among the top peace time maritime disasters in history is astonishing.

I don't think the titanic would be considered a US shipwreck. It was UK flagged and sunk in international waters.
There wasn't only a day or two in between Lincoln's and Booth's death. 11 days.
Dropped out after the third "so let's get right to it"
lmaooo
There are so many errors in the facts about this story. Its time to revisit the history of this disaster.
I suppose you could say Captain Mason held himself accountable... by dying as a result of his bad judgement.
haha thats funny
1500 died on the Titanic, so not deadlier than the Titanic.
according to Library of Congress, Newspaper estimates vary from 1,400 to 1,700 dead.
The titanic was a UK flagged ship and it sunk in international waters. I'm not sure how it would qualify as a "US shipwreck".

More died on the Eastland at Chicago, so that claim is false. (There are probably others (?) but that’s the one that comes to mind for me.)
from what I read they said Sultana was more as its unconfirmed how many people were actually on the ship
