Started this Monday morning with an Intermediate Advanced step class but I was falling all over myself. Stopped, chose this video instead and had a great workout. Thanks for such a wide variety of classes. Sure could not do that with any other trainer!
Also great for people who went ice skating across the bathroom floor & did who knows what to their knee (but it hurts like hell). Didn't think I would be able to do my normal step workout a couple of days later but did manage this. Actually feels a little better after! Thankyou Chris ❤

Perfect for trying out 2nd riser. Moves are very simple and beat is slower. Once I knew I had the steps (about half way through) I added another riser. Great workout. Super fun as always. Thanks, Chris!

Thank you for bumping it up at the end. I have been hesitant to move up in BPM, but by bumping it up at the end here it showed me that not only can I do it, but that is was a better pace for me to go along with. Thanks for all you do!!

Haven't done step in over 20 years. Took a class at a gym and I got through but it was too fast paced and I'm not coordinated enough for some of the choreography. This was a fantastic reintroduction and this is what my workout routine has been missing. I love the variety of routines for beginners to advanced and ways to modify for either. Liked and subscribed.

Awesome workout! Love it! All sweaty. I added some light weights together with it as you mentioned. And I love how you said that working out is not about motivation, etc but rather discipline which is very true. Because of so many distractions around, we forget about one of the most important things to help our bodies. It is not just about making a change in diet but also doing physical activity that will help the heart, muscles and organs to get stronger and fit. I appreciate how you explain what certain movements are for. It is very informative. I love the combinations too! I really enjoy your workout videos. The word boring does not exist here 😃

Kathy and I have been with you since you started the channel at the beginning of the pandemic. We love step, but are also doing some of your muscle conditioning classes. We were amazed to read about your channel in the Wall Street Journal today! Congratulations on that and on your 50K plus subscribers! You deserve it. In our experience, step instructions make the best all around fitness instructors, and you are one of the best.
I’m 55 and haven’t worked out in awhile. Thought about joining a gym, but not only does this save some $, it saves the time of going somewhere to exercise. I like that my time is used for exercising not commuting! The workouts are such a super positive atmosphere for people at any level!! :-)
This was perfect for my post-Covid recovery workout! I didn't want to go full on crazy yet & the tempo & basic moves were just what my old body needed!! Sometimes working at a slower tempo does allow you to really execute each move fully without the benefit of momentum to keep you going. This was by no means "easy" but basic enough to get a good workout. Follow that with your recent Mobility class & I feel ready to tackle the day! Thank you!

Wow, I didn't know this channel existed till tonight! I was searching around for something for me and my work friend Michelle to do bc there are literally no group fitness classes in our small town and I remember LOVING step class when I went in college. This was just what I needed today! I'm also back from vacation and having a knee issue. I bumped up my heart rate by wearing a weighted vest and what was great, because it was basic, I could do all the moves facing forward. For me right now, it isn't just about not doing high impact but also watching the pivots (is anyone else hearing Ross Gellar😂). So when Chris say, knees side to side, i Just do knees to the front. As Amber said basic is not boring and Chris is never boring! it's always fun with Chris! Thank you so much Chris and glad you had a great vacation 😊

Chris teaches this as an introduction to step and it is! It is also excellent for getting back to step after injury! It is basic footwork yet you can amp up the arms to get the heart rate up. I did the “ stretch after step” class after this and it was perfect. Thank you again Chris for constant encouragement to do what you can!

Except my cat likes to do the same variation of the routine that Ana was doing at the beginning, just behind my bench instead of in front, so I have to constantly look behind me to make sure I'm not going to step on her. She's remarkably blasé about nearly being crunch under my foot every few seconds. :)
Is it me or is the slow pace harder than the fast pace? I was sore from some strength training and I thought slow is what I need but my muscles only started to feel good at the end when we picked up the pace :-))
