- I am a bird watcher so I take my binoculars when I go for a walk. One day this week, however, I took my camera instead and shot this video. I live in Southern California and sun is always strong. A hat, sunglasses and lots of sunscreen are MUST when you go outside!

I grew up on Mt Curve ave near Parkman in the 1960s. Love this area.

Thank you, Mrs.Tuttle for sharing this beautiful video. I grew up at 4293 Canyon Crest Road, in Altadena, during the 60-70's. I recognized where you are at almost right away...my grandfather (who passed in 1970), lived just a short distance from you. My most favorite place in the entire world is the Altadena Public Library...many fond memories of such an awesome place. Indeed, my second home. I used to play baseball at Loma Alta Park, years ago (unsure if the park is still there)? Enjoy Altadena...it's the best kept secret in the world! Peace and love...Dan.
Thank you, too, for your wonderful comment. Yes, Loma Alta Park is still there. We go there once in a while, and I believe they have a local farmers market there, too. The Altadena Public Library is still a wonderful place. A friend of mine is very active and organizes a lot of activities there. My grandson visits it regularly. I think I finally acclimated to the southern California life style. You cannot beat the weather! :)

The Altadena Sheriff's Dept has changed over the years, I guess. Hopefully they are kinder and nicer to the people that live there than they used to be.
Maybe so. I've only been here since Nov. 2013, though. So far, they all seem to be friendly. I must say that I can't say the same thing for the Pasadena cops... They are less approachable.
So sorry to read such a revue. I once a upon a time worked for the Criminal Division of the County Clerk's Office, attached to the Superior Court, Juvenile, and to this day hold the Sheriff's Department in high regard (all the while accepting the harsh reality that rotten apples can be found everywhere, even among theologians, BTW).
