I review terps for carts. I can pretty much assure you 90% of carts have added terps whether it says "live resin" or not. The packaging must specifically say "no added terpenes". Terps extracted from harvest are noted as "live resin terpenes" which gives companies the ability to market their product as "live resin" (i.e. virtually every cannabinoid alternative brand)The cart you loved so much 7 years ago more than likely had added terps that was just a good blend. There are tons of terp companies with all sorts of terrible flavors, but there are plenty that have flavors people would be convinced they weren't added. This has been going on with carts almost since their inception. The main problem is there has been a boom of fly by night terp companies that throw a handful of the more common terps together and labeling it for a strain when half or more of the terpenes needed to replicate the strain are missing.
Carts just make me completely addicted cos of the convenience, its so much easier to control your usage if u stick to flower. They fuck ur tolerance aswell

That’s why I stick to the Rosin disposable like you said, I didn’t mind smoking distillate years ago, but once you try real live resin or a live rosin cart. There’s no turning back Its mostly disposables where I’m at. There’s still the 510 carts. But mainly distillate you do have your live resin, which are saturated now they’re basically distillate with live resin terps. I just stick to the rosin disposables and there’s so many companies doing the rosin disposables.

I always make my own carts. I start with live resin. I start by decarboxolating the resin, letting it heat at 250 until all bubbles stop,even the tiniest of bubbles, add a bit of liquidizer, (I use Little Yellow Bus Honey Liquidizer, and then proceed to fill my cartridges. I save a ton of money making my own. I like it because I can make 20 at a time or just one or two. Thanks for another great video!

It's because you like weed. I am the same way. Carts get you baked. But some of us aren't smoking just to get baked. Some of us like the flavor, the way it makes your head feel and lungs open up. Carts will never have the full medicinal smoke that flower has. All of those natural compounds have an effect on our respiratory system that know distilled product will mimic. So here near Boston, USA in Massachusetts we legalized in 2019 and back at the start the carts were flavorful and bomb, more or less. Then they were also and remained super expensive. If you want a good cart make sure you know what’s in the liquidizer or terps. You don’t want vitamin e acetate, Mct oils, or pg/vg. When vaping bad liquidizers it can create formaldehyde a cancer causing chemical. It’s better to just buy a little wax pen to do your concentrates out of. If you looking for a good concentrate pen look into the puffco plus. Nothing will taste better than some nice solvent-less rosin.

For me personally, the buds here in Australia are so hit and miss that as long as it gets me high, it's good in my books. For the past few days I've had to smoke on the shittest buds that barely even get me cooked, taste like nothing good, and just aren't good in pretty much any way, so I'd be frothing if somebody gave me a 'shit' cart as long as it got me cooked. Australia really has it bad in the weed game. It's all home grown, maybe 5% is imported but it's hard to get your hands on it and is expensive as fuck, and half of the homegrown shit is sprayed with round-up to maximize profits. I can't wait for Australia to finally legalize weed, which I think it's a matter of when, not if. When that finally happens, I'm going to be trying a new strain every time I get buds until I find one that I really like. Legit the only weed I've been able to get here that has stuck in my mind is an Orange Sherbert strain (I think? It was something with Orange in the name) because it actually tasted like what was in the name, it tasted citrusy and got me well cooked, whereass all the other strains I've tried have rarely ever had any good flavour to them.

Drew, distillate is 90-95% THC and live resin is about 60-95% so how you would rather want that? I mean I understand if they taste better but for me I struggle to get high on live resin bc it’s not the same but that’s a personal opinion

It depends on the maker and you r location. Here in midwest usa, our carts are great, Mitten extracts are my favorite. IMO the greater distribution range of the cart, the worst the product is. Regional is where its at.

Had same plug from DNM for years, 23 for a 1ml cart and I go through two a week & that would be with two days off. Quality is what it is, it is distillate with some terps. Just too cheap, fear of getting rugged by a new plug. Thanks for reminding me there's better

Drew needs to get himself a dab rig if he wants so much benefit from carts. They are supposed to be a lower quality, more accessible way to dab for people on the go. There are really good carts that can get you super stoned with full spectrum and added diamonds but for what you get carts are fine as long as the battery doesn't run too hot for the cheap atomizer and the concentrate is safe. Carts aren't meant for a sit down full medicating sesh at home.

vape carts only head high, because of distillate purging methods, if u can press full spectrum hash rosin (that's fresh) solventless @ low temps, you preserve all the terps and it's translate to a much deeper and richer high, so remember some strains dont press that well eg 80/20 sativa hybrids
Tbh most carts are crap now in London, I make my own from rosin mixed with a tiny bit of wax liquidiser and they are the most natural tasting cart I've tried. Everything else I've tried are mixed with artificial terp flavours etc and many studies show fake carts contain more harmful chems than you could imagine.

Research THC-O-Acetate. A lot of these carts are NOT D9-THC, especially in the UK. They often contain semi-synthetic substituted cannabinoids which are chemically converted from CBD.

Australia really has it bad in the weed game. It's all home grown, maybe 5% is imported but it's hard to get your hands on it and is expensive as fuck, and half of the homegrown shit is sprayed with round-up to maximize profits.
I can't wait for Australia to finally legalize weed, which I think it's a matter of when, not if. When that finally happens, I'm going to be trying a new strain every time I get buds until I find one that I really like. Legit the only weed I've been able to get here that has stuck in my mind is an Orange Sherbert strain (I think? It was something with Orange in the name) because it actually tasted like what was in the name, it tasted citrusy and got me well cooked, whereass all the other strains I've tried have rarely ever had any good flavour to them.
It's similar in rural parts of the UK it's all from someones shed it's shit I hate it

I see hash rosin carts that are half distillate. Best of both worlds. The terpenes are there for entourage effect and it has the intense high of distillate.

It depends on the maker and you r location. Here in midwest usa, our carts are great, Mitten extracts are my favorite. IMO the greater distribution range of the cart, the worst the product is. Regional is where its at.

Had same plug from DNM for years, 23 for a 1ml cart and I go through two a week & that would be with two days off. Quality is what it is, it is distillate with some terps. Just too cheap, fear of getting rugged by a new plug. Thanks for reminding me there's better

Botanical terps are cheap so they are common. They are a must avoid to find good carts. Look for Rosin carts. That’s Rosin with an “O”
Rosin carts can still have added terpenes. The packaging must specifically state "no added terpenes" otherwise its almost a guarantee there are added terpenes. Carts tend to rely on terpenes as a thinning agent too.

People seem incable of measuring the correct amount of terps for the distillate but agreed I can remember a friend paying about £800 for some terps serious money for such a small amount

Drew needs to get himself a dab rig if he wants so much benefit from carts. They are supposed to be a lower quality, more accessible way to dab for people on the go. There are really good carts that can get you super stoned with full spectrum and added diamonds but for what you get carts are fine as long as the battery doesn't run too hot for the cheap atomizer and the concentrate is safe. Carts aren't meant for a sit down full medicating sesh at home.

vape carts only head high, because of distillate purging methods, if u can press full spectrum hash rosin (that's fresh) solventless @ low temps, you preserve all the terps and it's translate to a much deeper and richer high, so remember some strains dont press that well eg 80/20 sativa hybrids
Tbh most carts are crap now in London, I make my own from rosin mixed with a tiny bit of wax liquidiser and they are the most natural tasting cart I've tried. Everything else I've tried are mixed with artificial terp flavours etc and many studies show fake carts contain more harmful chems than you could imagine.

Research THC-O-Acetate. A lot of these carts are NOT D9-THC, especially in the UK. They often contain semi-synthetic substituted cannabinoids which are chemically converted from CBD.

Yep distillate carts suck but they dont stink like weed does so I use them when I'm away from home. They actually irritate my throat and lungs more too.
We used to call THC liquid "zum" because in jail all the nitties would call spice "zum" and the name just stuck. Pretty much the same shit just watered down to an extent. I've had carts since but the year or 2 of being involved with that has just completely put me off.
