- This is a review of the Boost Electric Surf Fin. The fin allows you to add an electric propeller to a surfboard or stand up paddleboard (SUP), that has a removeable fin system. I was provided the fin for review by Boost but the opinions and thoughts are all my own. Is the fin worth it? Maybe…

I would add that if you have mobility issues or an injury I could see the fin help pushing you into waves or help with paddling out to the break.
It’s good to have for adverse weather conditions. You can leave on your trip in beautiful weather, but then on the way back you have high winds and chop, this will help to get you back! That’s why I bought one anyway. You can also chill on your board, have a snack, cocktail and still continue on to your destination!! Also, you can deliver things with it in close proximity to other Paddlers or Boaters 😊. Anyway, lots of creative ideas.
Exactly why I am lookin into this product!! :) Can you turn it on while in the water, or do you turn it on before you get in? Will the app work, or the watch work without cell service?
Love the concept. Totally agree with the battery life. I think you should revisit your jet powered. You got a lot of views on that one. I like that one a lot. Your design to care
My 80 year old surf buddies new a boost to continue surfing. This should do the trick. They ride 8-9.5 ft boards so It shouldn't be a problem mounting plus the water temp is 23 not 1 C!
Once on the wave it will cause a of drag. That seems like it makes the board hard to steer. Great review.
How is the portable pizza oven doing?
Do you still have a video of the custom boot dryer you built? I can’t seem to find it on your channel. Thank you!
I do, I had to search for it myself lol ua-cam.com/video/6W0qDwoYT0g/v-deo.html
It's not fancy but I still use it and it's awesome.
Have a question 🙋♂️ Can you put 2 of these on 1 surf board? Like one on the left and right to sustain balance? Mine is a 6/7foot board but just want more power and don’t wanna go 10MPH wanna go faster to jump the waves and keep up with the ocean. Thank you!
You can as long as you get the correct mounts for your board finboxes. There is a Boostsurf insta reel where they mount a bunch of fins on a board.
I recognize both the beach and lake locations. We must be fairly close neighbors. Cool.
Haha yup very easy to recognize both spots and no one out the day I was out which was surprising.
I have a question I think you can answer. At its best conditions, board, rider etch. After its maximum speed do you start to feel drag? And did you feel any while surfing??
Yes you definitely feel drag while surfing, if you are doing any performance surfing it's not ideal, plus it's not the best for small boards. The board I was using was 7' egg and even that was a bit small and I'm not very heavy. At it's maximum speed it's just cruising along so I can't say I felt drag. I think my watch measured I was going about 5km/h at top speed.
@@AndrewWorkshop Thanks for the reply. I have learned a lot watching your channel.

Commenting mid video for context. This is a great product for adaptive surfing and thinks that the perfect niche.
For an able bodied surfers it’s kookie AF.
Yup agreed totally for adpative surfing to help people get out. I saw Brad jacobson's video about how it helps him. If you are abled bodied agreed but I didn't want to be too harsh in the video, there is a place for a product like this.
