This is not a demonstration of music or my skills, just a walkthrough of ALL the preset sounds on the Korg Minilogue. Hope this helps. Enjoy! / brian.osborn.921
There is more than one version of it out now. I got mine pretty soon after it came out. As for detune, it might need to be tuned. For that press the rec. button while holding the shift button and it'll tune itself.
That's the sequencer. Each factory preset also has a pre loaded sequence (just for inspiration really). You can overwrite the sequence or anything else it just needs to be saved to one of the hundred user preset locations.
Having never owned an analog synth before, is this the kind of instrument that you will have to take in for maintenance every now and then (assuming you are very careful with it)? Also my apartment can get pretty hot, I imagine that wouldn't be good for the circuitry?
Yep. 100 factory presets with preloaded sequences, and 100 blank user preset slots to which you can save your own sounds and sequences. I only demoed the presets.
@@brianosborn3702 What I usually do is connect my synth with USB and open up BandLab and make sure the midi is connected and I play the sequence and it sends it on there then I export it as a midi file. I'm pretty sure it can work on a different daw as well :)
These stock patches are really disappointing for a synth at this price point. It can do far more than these patches would lead you to believe. I'll keep my Novation Bass Station ii even if this Korg is a poly.
Well they're just for inspiration. Korg has probably put out some of their own demo videos of this that might demonstrate it a little better than the patches.
You know, even a minimoog can sounds flat through bad monitors ... In my opinion you can't judge the warmness or deepness of synth when it comes out from UA-cam compression. You have to hear it in real, that makes the diff.
Some old lady at a pawn shop who had no clue what this was just sold it to me for 150$! Best deal ever!! I look forward to seshing on this thing!
Sweet deal! I'm sure you'll love it.
nice!
bastard!
ooh noice
That's what I'm waiting to happen either with a MiniL or with a Reface CS
The little synth that could.
4:00 LATE SUMMER for me is the best sequence of this synth. So fresh ! It reminds me beach days in south of France.
Sounds vintage and modern at the same time, i'm starting to enjoy the OG minilogue sound
It's a great piece of gear to be sure, especially for the price.
Warm, rich analogue goodness.
Sure is :)
The patch at 5:24 sounds so good
Nice Jazzy Chords on Brass type presets!!) Love it!
Yep, lots to like with this one.
amazing, hope to find used one to play this on my own
Hope you find one, I love mine.
i like the ones at 1:14 6:29 16:25 14:10 15:42 21:49 and 27:10
Lots of inspiration packed into this synth.
Came here remember if a cool sequence on here was a preset or if I wrote it, but I wrote it which is sick
Haha nice
21min48 is fiire
Why my minilogue dont have tha same presets :c mine sound detune

@@brianosborn3702 thanks!!!!!! Its work
16:32 - We Are The Robots (Kraftwerk)
Sure is, and 5:20 an obvious nod to Deadmau5.
21:39 sounds like one of Trevor something’s songs
There are nods to at least a few artists hidden in there,
Finally a synth that creates random patterns for you on the go or whats up with that button you're clicking all the time?))
That's the sequencer. Each factory preset also has a pre loaded sequence (just for inspiration really). You can overwrite the sequence or anything else it just needs to be saved to one of the hundred user preset locations.
Hi, very good vídeo... it is so use usefull if you want to buy one, great synth!
Glad to know my video is good for something :) The Minilogue's a gem for sure.
thank you
this is so fucking helpful dude
Does every sound come with a sequencer pattern? Is it possible to just create a sound and save it?
Yes and yes😊

I doubt it will need regular maintenance. It gets warm on it's own anyway, overheating shouldn't be a problem unless you're in direct sunlight.
It also has a self tuning function

These stock sounds?

Brian Osborn Dope. I bought one
3:59 is it ok if you can send me the midi files for that patch? :)
I don't have a clue how to do such a thing, sorry😅

I agree, nothing special with this one and not worth it given the price imo
basing your synth purchase off the presets it comes with is just dumb imo, if you wanna make a good sound then make one
20:00. Ripping that off for sure
21:49 buy one.
I second that.
The monologue has better presets in my opinion
That's cool. Sounds like Korg listens to their customers.
sound flat to me
It could be. Analog oscillators' tunings can drift.

i soliti suoni cazzuti alla Bontempi...camicia nuova e basta..propio la korg che tanto ha dato!!...
Korg did a great job with this one.
Metallic crap
