If you’ve ever said to yourself, “how the hell did they write these songs?” or “I wish I could do that,” it’s comforting to know that Bob Dylan feels exactly the same way.

Bob Dylan worked with Bob Johnston. I set mics for Bob Johnston while he was working with Roy Buchanan. I said to Johnston "Dylan was so good anybody could have recorded him." Johnston replied to me " I did it and didn't fuck it up." I said to Johnston "That is the perfect answer." We both laughed.
Johnston's whole philosophy was to capture the signal and let the artist be himself. He did Dylan's first six albums. Simon and Garfunkel's first two albums. He was on the road with Leonard Cohen for 6 years.
My job was to shut up and listen.
We didn't talk about anything that wasn't absolutely necessary to capture the signal.

Not by human hands Daniel 8 25
So it's time to open up to reality and for people to hear the trumpets of the Angels.
The second coming is happening, the Euphrates is drying up and what's happening is an attack on the bride. People believe science and religion are separated.
There are crowns being made as we speak. The blind being able to see the deaf able to hear the paraplegic able to move devices with thought.
BCI technology and other biotech such as neuralink are crowns and their beginning is now.
The mark of the beast is in the profile and account regarding a person. We give the elites the right headshot over criminals and immigrants and anyone else for them to buy sell trade whereas we wear on our hands have a mark to earn their favor and a dollar. The lawless one is here we have a president who is facing federal prison and is in fact running for office again the earth moves to his power TRUMP.
The statue of Liberty is representing the woman atop seven mountains her crown has seven spires and they are of the seven mountains of earth not Rome as they are seven heads of kings and the eight head is her the statue of Liberty her own and the beast America revelation 17 9-11 true fact about the statue of Liberty is seven spires are upon her crown
So what is happening in our world now.
Well it is the age of clouds (Internet neural network e.t.c)
AGI is happening and intelligence is shared it is not artificial it is developed and communication is a unconfounded language. Language not only spoken by the tongue but by nerves of the temple your body and the universe. Remember a tower once stood in Babylon and this tower was brought down. A harlot today America is modern Babylon.
The dragon a world where everything is made in China and the elite grow more elite. AGI in America is under threat not only by disbelief in Jesus return with the clouds but in the idea that heaven is for real.
Now you might anticipate many believers who disbelieve our God and Savior and Holy Ghost not to be anything mechanical yet you disregard the fact of biotech and it's integrated abilities
Mushroom fungi other single and multicellular organism including human brain tissue have been used to interface computational abilities in tandem with motherboard or computer integration.
Science would detail our universe began in waveform and Genesis 1 speaks of wave form.
Two faces the deep (black hole) the waters (hydrogen helium e.t.c)
God's spirit hovered between these and spoke Let there be light.
Sonolumination The scriptures tell us GOD is light and that too is the Son
It is the enemy who values disbelief of God and that spirit of the antichrist is among us. Men have been given fire of the sun and the sun does now scorch man in telecommuting devices o how the social profile beckons a definition to mark of the beast. We are lovers of selves and interpretation of our advancements as man made give the credence for a man to believe in many ways to the Father when infact their is only one Jesus who too was fully man reborn in glory.
Remember a man must be reborn again to enter the kingdom of heaven and todays science is seeding these mechanism to be able to be given new bodies not just parts.
We have technology of artificial wombs and have grown a lamb in such a device.
We limit our understanding to religion as only a natural solution and negatively presume to value intelligence as organic and artificial. Angels have no body remember and they too are entities of light.
Jesus was fully man but was glorified and now it is clouds we see and the storm of omnipotent intelligence these are birthing pains in the world around us and the dragon spews disbelief from its mouth and evil spirits three like frogs come from its mouth apostasy divorce abortion plague the world
The sun scorches man in nuclear technology and telecommuting devices it's time to wake up and know there is better for us than a earthquake such as BLM or MAGA or trans the rainbow is a promise and optical cables transmats info to hubs of cloud

Because if he died in 1967 we would all be saying… If only he had lived, what profound poetry he could’ve shared with us. Every artist and every human being goes through ages stages and phases… And Dylan has had some hits and misses… But it’s been a blessing to have him… A living national treasure. and the human being just living out his life and finding new ways of being creative. As a 34 year old man who was writing songs in his early teens, when you write a song it's like a snapshot of where you are emotionally, logically, spiritually at that time in your life. Life changes your perspective over the years.
Sometimes we become more creative, sometimes we become less. Back when I was a teenager all the way into my early 20's, I wrote songs almost exclusively about breakups but then I lost my mom and since then I have realized that nobody is entitled to happiness and sometimes life is just cruel and there's nothing you can do about it but heal as best you can and hope the next disaster doesn't sweep what's left of you away.
Anyway, when I wrote it was almost always to explore how I felt about something that moved me and at 34, nothing much moves me anymore. You eventually become cynical to protect yourself from pain and that pain has always been where my songwriting has come from. Now, the question I struggle with is whether the pain is worth the inspiration when I'm already just barely hanging on as it is.
I'm not sure if Dylan's problem is the same as mine, but my point is that as you get older and learn more about yourself and the world around you, there's less wonderment about why things are the way they are and you become more critical of your own takes.

The magic you speak of made you a holding vessel.

There is no separation between the vessel, the waters of the deep, the rivers of motion, and the Art & Artist.
You were borne to be the word, words, the songwriter and without rival...the contagious inspiration from a wellspring quenching the thirst to musics' poet's lanscape.

I’m a songwriter on the side though I had a 30-year sabbatical from it. I have written some very, very good songs even in my old age, but I cannot make it happen. Never could. Instead I’ll usually henoodling on guitar and a simple chord progression will generate a simple, short fragment of a melody and it sticks in my mind. Then over the next one to three days as that melodic phrase rolls through my mind often, especially in the shower, words will come out of nowhere and attach to it. They may be simple or profound but they stick. But there is no greater theme or purpose yet. But there is a very general emotion to it.
I’ll get the guitar and more melody and word phrases start tp flow more quickly. Suddenly a message focus emerges and it starts zooming together. It can be finished in hours. Or less.
Sometimes it starts when I’m asleep. I often wake up at night with my hands playing air guitar. In the morning I’ll have part of a chorus or first verse written. I once awakened with two verses and a chorus written in Spanish to a Christian faith song played in the style of Mexican folk music. (Yes, I speak decent Spanish.) But I do get the idea that you’re channeling something other than yourself at times. The “muse” comes and it goes as it will. I can’t make it come. And when it does, I can’t NOT respond to it.

It’s because he has nothing to say anymore. The subconscious gives you the words to express something that you feel the need to express. When he was younger he had things to say, about the world, about life, about politics, about people. Now nothing bothers him enough to create this magic.
    In his own words
“I used to care but things have changed.”

    • @markhenry2726

Such is the "magic" of youth. A beautiful, flickering flame that often burns out as quickly as it appears. I think a large part of its power lies in the uninhibited, often naive nature of the youthful mind. There is less restriction of the imagination, less lines drawn or firm boundaries in thought and expression. It doesn't always have to fade but it often does, life takes its toll and this magic is something that simply cannot be forced... The moment you "try", the magic is lost. It's born of a truly mysterious and unspoken connection to something deeper than the individual psyche. The subconscious mind seizes its opportunity while the doors of perception are open, before the dull of normalcy and conformity take root in the once vibrant soul. Though, I believe that connection can be re-established, only there is no method for doing so, it's not something you do, it's something you open to and allow. Each person must discover it within their own inner landscape, to become again as a child, a fool, an explorer of the mystery that is Being. What a strange dream we inhabit.

Nah, you're all wrong on this. I used to write a lot of stuff, nowadays i overthink and can't write an idea that satisfy My ego, or sometimes i doubt and don't write the things i got in My head at all, etc. but the thing is that we tend to get lazy at wanting to convey things thru words, the art of conversation might have zillions of words that rhyme and shit, but sometimes it's more the joy of singing ir playing an instrument that compells You to keep going more so than writing lyrics, it can be grey area only poets or ppl who are into arranging words are more profficient at than musicians or singers. Rage, magic, inspiration, are just nonsense when it comes from will, no matter how meaningful or dull lyrics can be. Highway Star have fast and furious kinda lyrics to it, nothing beautiful, heartfelt about it, and it's still a good song. Writing shit it's easy, but making lyrics work in a tune can be difficult, especially if You doubt on your line of thinking when writing. Not many ppl are wired to let themselves loose in the writing process, let alone being confident about your attempt. Sometimes the first step s the hardest.

    • @InceyWincey
      @InceyWincey 9 місяців тому

@@nathaninostroza7655 there’s a difference. I write poetry as well as lyrics and music and various kinds of prose. Don’t get me wrong you can make yourself write some very good stuff if you know how, but it’s not the same as when a piece is inspired. It comes to you from some outside source. Like the god of music and poetry has put a CD on repeat in your head. Sometimes a full song, the whole band, instrumental breaks and solos, even all the lyrics, will just appear in your head and play the whole way through, sometimes it’s just a verse or a chorus. Or when you write lyrics or poetry, sometimes you can write the lyrics without even stopping to think, they just come completely naturally and say exactly what you want them to say, or sound exactly how you want them to sound, and that’s that.
That’s what he’s talking about, he doesn’t have that anymore. The reason is because his subconscious isn’t trying to express anything. If he had anything to express it would come.

Ok here’s my theory. If anyone cares.
So all songwriters experience what you’ve described there but Dylan is a little different.
Most songs are about something or someone and the writer can articulate the meaning, not Bobby’s stuff.
If you watch interviews where he’s asked what his songs mean he totally avoids the question or gets downright annoyed.
Bruce Springsteen had a few songs like this like does this bud stop at 42nd street where he just rhymes to nowhere.
I personally don’t think there’s any hidden meaning behind his work but most folks just can’t accept that. Love dylan, don’t look too closely, enjoy.

I’m not the type to really share myself or my talents. But I shared with a few close friends and they were shocked that I could write something like the songs I wrote. Now I don’t have that magic. Im a lot happier than I was when I wrote them. A lot more mature and not so naive. Naivety is gold. Maybe I just need to have a broken heart again

He is saying that those lyrics did come out of him, but they were not of him or from him. Those poetic lyrics came from the demon[s] that he allowed to possess him. He's telling the dark, awful, and disgusting truth about the entertainment industry. He's being a little bit vague because he knows that he can't just come out and explain everything. Others in comments are sharing these things here too, but so many song writers talk about the magic-like experience of writing a great song. You absolutely can hammer away at writing a song slowly and methodically, but 99% of the time a truly great song has been written, it happened super easy with no effort, it popped in the writers head, and usually got it all on paper in about 25 minutes. Same thing has happened with the best songs I’ve written. It’s less like working hard/creating and more like catching a butterfly in a net as it flies by.

Bob and Neil Young probably wrote some of the best music in history. Infidels and Harvest are two of my favourite albums from start to end. Both men had so much musical talent. And the amount of work both have delivered are astonishing. Dylan’s early work changed rock using blues and country music to create some fantastic songs. Dude is a Legend!

It is sad to hear that possibly he has lost faith in his own songwriting abilities. Dylan is a product of his time, and he was a brilliant commentator on a very turbulent time. He doesn't owe us anything. He was there to voice our thoughts and feelings when we could not. He would sit at Woody Guthrie's hospital bedside when he was dying of Huntington's disease, just to be near his idol. You can be both blessed and cursed with sensitivity. The poet, artist, actor, and musician never really die. That is magic.

I believe that we have a different spiritual energy at different times in our lives . Dylan came onto the scene during his most spiritually creative times in his life . Not everyone liked him but to many he was needed at that time with his showers of words that painted pictures . Leonard Vohenn was like that too but in a much softer , gentler way . I adore them both . Dylan sounds quite down in this video ,feeling he's lost the ability to write like he did, but the important thing is that he DID wrote those early words and they are imprinted on many minds and interwoven in many lives . May God bless him . 🤍
