- This is my cover of a live version of Jeff's Boogie (Live at Fillmore West 1968). I learned and recorded the guitar part first, then sent the track to Greg Morrow, an old friend, and one of the greatest drummers of all time, who did an even better job than Micky Waller! Then I learned and recorded Ron Wood's bass part. Thanks to my good friend, Brian Fechino, for working his studio mojo on the mix!
The link gets taken down from time to time, but for now, here is the original recording:
• Jeff Beck Group - Jeff...
This was quite an undertaking for me, details soon to come in a breakdown video.

Back in the 70's I played drums in a trio with two guitar players who would switch between them playing bass. One of them, Julius Manno, was heavily influenced by Django Reinhardt and Jeff Beck. We used to play Jeff's Boogie as a regular part of our set and it was a blast every time. So good to hear it again.
I appreciate you watching, brother! First learned the studio Yardbirds version as a kid myself!
Love your channel, exceptional guitarist, fantastic teacher. All the best!
Man I really appreciate that. It means a lot. Thank you so much!
Super!!!
Thank you kind sir!
Boom! Love it. Killer Chuck, I’m exhausted just watching this. Greg Morrow on a shuffle….. shut up!
I know right? The boys a badass! He told me it was an adventure;) Since it was a live track with no click, he just tapped one out. 😂
Fantastic! ❤️
Thank you my friend!
Very Cool Chuck!
Thank you, and thanks for tuning in!
It took me nearly a year to recover from the grief of his sudden passing.
I pray for Jeff every day.
I would like to ask you to cover Jeff's Boogie / Beck Bogert & Appice Live in Japan version next time.
I miss him too, brother! Beck appears to never have played this song the same way twice, all though he did repeat some of the same licks in most versions. The Beck, Bogert, and Appice version definitely has some cool alternatives!
Yikes!!!
Hey Richard! Thanks for watchin', man! Hey to Pamela!!
