Looks a really good instal. I would like to update my door woofers with these Alplins as they are bright. What are the ohms, im hoping they are 2 ohms as they can be a direct replacement for the oems
Hi, thanks for the comment, there is no reason you couldn’t use Focal speakers and they are great SQ speakers, this customer wanted a loud system rather then high SQ and i personally think Alpine Type R speakers are great for achieving this
Brilliant, EXACTLY what I was looking for!!! To confirm what you did, you tapped into the existing speaker wires in the Harman radio unit, and put them into your new amplifier?
Hi, thank you for the awesome video! Nice to see some original content! Teaches me a lot! I have a newbie question, i hope you don’t mind? I have the Alpine R Spec speakers that do 100w RMS. I have the Halo9 head unit 18w RMS Output. I only have the alpine 45w RMS Amp. Can I safely turn the gain right up to max on the amp?
Hi Damian, sadly looked through my stock footage and didn’t film anything to help, if you pop up the side sills then you should find access to get the cable secure along the length of the vehicle, as the the battery you need to gain access to a grommet up behind the dash below the front of A pillar, not easy to describe on here, when i get another similar vehicle in ill try to do a quick video of it.
Definitely yes, Alpine Type R has been available for years and have a great output volume and low distortion when driving it loud, thanks for the comment and watching the video.
I am looking to install these in my car. What are my options to fix a mismatch mounting height where the door is listed at 0.379 and the speaker at 0.482?
Hi Tim, i think the simplest way would be to build out a new mounting surface using staggered mdf rings, stacking and glueing thin rings can give a very controllable mounting height and is a better denser material than plastic speaker adapters, im guessing you like a punchier sound and want to get the speakers close to the oem grill guide
Everyone has videos showing how to replace the front door speakers but nones done a video on replacing the rear speakers in a 3 door Evoque. I can't be the only one which would make it a popular video. Perhaps I'll figure out and upload a video on how not to do it lol 🤷♀
Hi Damo, I’ve never had a 3 door Evoque in the shop but i’ll do a video if one comes in. If you’ve got one then definitely do a video, could be the start of something great 👍
@creativecarsounds4484 hello pal, I have a 2017 evoque se model, same as the one you just did, I believe the door speakers are 6.5 inch ? I'm looking to install in each door a 4 ohm ..max 1000w. what do you recommend and what type of amp would I need to push both 4 ? Thankyou
What ALPINE brand amplifier do you recommend for my alpine R-S65C.2 and R-S69C.2 midrange set, you say alpine x-a70f but right now it is a bit expensive, any other suggestions?
Yeah the bass is good for speakers but better off letting a subwoofer give the true bass, the alpines are great for giving loud sound with minimal distortion
So good to see quality work. No cutting corners = an amazing install. Can’t wait to get my car sorted.

Lovely clean install! Would be nice to see some morel and dd speakers 🔊 👍
Love the mounting position for the amp so discreet ! Content is getting better with every video even a little tip/trick inthere this time!
Lovely
you make it look so dam easy :) love a type R
Y’all just have me an idea on how to rebuild my system in my 2029 Ford Edge.
Hi I installed after market amp on my Range Rover but now I can use my screen to operate the radio. Only shuts off when I turn off the car
Why couldn't you use Focal speakers with the Range Rover? I was hoping to install Focal in mine

I don't know if it's worth downsizing from both of my JL Audio C5-650i components $599 a set and my JL Audio ZR-650 components i $799 a set.
Which model focal component speakers are closest to the Alpine Type-R speakers you installed?
What ohm were the original speakers?
Brilliant, EXACTLY what I was looking for!!! To confirm what you did, you tapped into the existing speaker wires in the Harman radio unit, and put them into your new amplifier?
Sensational 😎
Is it possible to get an adaptor to plug the after market speakers into the stock wiring?
How much does it cost?

No, because turning the gain all the way up in most causes will cause the signal to clip.
Gain is NOT a volume knob.
It is to adjust the output voltage from the source to the input voltage from the amp !
R series ,. With sony xav 800, how they perform ,. Can v use amp
Could u Please show us how u ran the power cable from the battery to the amp. I’m about to do my own installation and no idea how to run the Cable.

@@creativecarsounds4484 thanking you and fair enough, I’ll send the link when I do it 👍
What about bass of alpine r s65c.2
From about 50 Hz and up they are nice and strong, lower than 50 Hz most speakers suffer.

Get one, you won't regret it.
That amp is going to overheat
Hi Stanley, happy to report so far so good but i do feel your concern, you definitely wouldn’t want to put two amps down there
