To be entirely honest, I hated the A-10A for the longest time, and I still do. Your best weaponry is what.. an AGM-65D on the Late? B on the Early?
Since the 25T has been added, there's no doubt that they plan on the A-10C. I can't wait for something like 65Ks or Ms, let alone the Paveways and such that it carries
Yea Su25T is very effective. A10C's gonna be good.
We will see about that .. if A-10C will be added at 11.3 it will face Pantsir S1 80% of times .. remember A-10 Early is 10.0 and the main threat in this BR range is IR SPAA.

1. He probably meant when you are out of range and the mav does not track the target but stays in place. When you are around 6km the mav will see the target and track it when its driving.
2. I also see no point in stealth belts since everyone can hear your gun.
the Maverick is designed as a Fire and Forget weapon and is capable of tracking a moving target out to a certain range.

By the way 6km is not a fixed number .. it is variable but we use it because it is pretty much the track lock range if the target was an MBT, Maverick missile loves big size targets, so if the target was big like Pantsir S1 you might get a track lock from 8km and if the target was small like Wiesel for example you might get track lock at 2km, and if the target was aircraft carrier you can get the track lock at 20km or even more.
For stealth belt it is not worth the 160SP, I just made it for fun and some people were asking to see it being used in WT because it is close to in real life A-10 gun runs, I don't remember I saw an A-10 in real life documentaries doing a gun run with tracers.
A-10 and F-16 usually dont use tracers in real life :) almost every modern plane doesnt use tracers lol
Hunter I have a question, on ur heli videos you are able to adjust ur zoom, like kinda it seems like u have ur mouse wheel as ur zoom, so that way u don’t just go from let’s say 0x to 100x in a click, what control do u have it to do that? I have all my controls how I want them except I want that one so badly, also great work! I’ve been watching ur videos and I’ve become way better at CAS! :)
It's called Zoom Axis IIRC, Its kinda buggy though so be careful.

Hello Hunter - nice CAS flying as always :) Quick question - would you recommend A10 Early or A6E-Tram for CAS for 10.3 USA GRB premium grinder lineup? I will prob get M1-KVT and F5c in the upcoming sales, but F5c is more fighter than a CAS so I kinda need to choose between A10 and A6E :) Tnx in advance!
Hello, I personally love the A-10 more because it is iconic, but I advise you to go for A-6 Intruder, laser guided bombs with high quality thermal imaging is more reliable than Maverick B and easier to use as well, I think you will have better experience with A-6 than with A-10.

Ye, A10 is kinda special, especially when u hear that gun goes brrrrr :D Personally i do like it more because it is, as you've said, iconic piece but A6E makes more sense, tough as I've seen it has more passive gameplay than A10 (i guess thats okay for me as I am kinda newish player). As I've seen you and other players - u climb to like 5.000m cuz SPAA, then circle above, use bombs, rinse and repeat. With A-10 its more like hit and run, especially because u are subsonic. Btw, A6 goes up in upcoming br changes to 10.3 (a lot of hellis also going up).
I don't if this has been had happened to you often but it seems like the AGM65 will not lock onto the enemy when in the TV camera mode. But it was starting to get really aggravating Ngl, so I actually quit using them things.

Apply all this on Walleye, but instead of 6km, you have a 3km track lock range.
@@Hunter_i86 This helps a lot! Thank you, didnt know the range was as low as 3km. The mode explanation also makes me realise what went wrong for me. I was out of range, so it tracked ground instead. Wish the UI reflected that a bit more.

What about su25 video with low altitude rocket lobs video like they are doing in real life? Is it a viable strategy?
I like the hight altitude air suport but i would like to se some close air suport with top tier against all ods in now is harder but i always crave that adrenaline

My common bugs/complaint/questing is why your ATMG's lock when mine don't? why is the camera steady? and recently how to cancel locks because lately my AIM9's and ATGM are locking thin air.
For instance I can start trying to lock a target from 6km out and start screaming at the screen for the pod to lock right up to passing over the target so for as many seconds a it takes to constantly try and lock something for as fast as the plane can travel 6km I'm a sitting duck. It's rage inducing. Plus the targeting pod throws you out of the camera, it's really dumb.

I wish they give the a10 late (tech tree variant) the choice on which maverick to use. The infrared variant is just not very good with it s very limited zoom
But thermal with low zoom (big FOV) made it easier to engage multiple targets in one run.
Does the premium warthog have a better targeting camera than the tech tree one? Swear it's so much nicer when I watch you use the mavs
Tech tree A-10 has less zoom but thermal imaging, but Mav D is better than Mav B, it has smoother lock and can capture targets at longer distances. Thanks :)

Hi i need your opinion which is better A-10A or A-6E , I want to open ALL US aviation (F-16 F-14B), and can feel comfortable in ground RB (LOVE your CAS vides)
I would say the A-6E cause it has GBU-12 and it’s faster so for ground rb it’s better and you can uptier it pretty comfortably unlike the A10 because with the A-6E you can stay at a much higher altitude
But for air rb the A10 is better because of it’s turn rate and the gun
If you want the easiest choice is A-6E Intruder, it has TGP with high quality thermal imaging and laser guided bombs, easier to spawn than A-10 because it uses bombs (less spawn points required), can carry AIM-9L and it is faster than A-10.
Fun to play and easy to fly in Air Sim EC as well, you can bomb 5-9 targets per one run ..

Hunter, I need your help. Strela-10M2 has my number. This missile doesn’t need IRCM because it has IRCM at home lol. The only effective counter I’ve found is to stay outside of range. Is there any other option? Flares seem to never fool this missile no matter what aspect I fly in respect to it. Thanks Commander
It is almost impossible to survive the missile from rear aspect but it is
dodge-able in a head on, try to stay fast, prioritize them and keep your jet out of range. Good luck my friend :)

A-10 Late has Maverick D which is better than B because it has thermal imaging and can "track" lock targets at 10km or even more if the target was big size. To cancel the lock press "lock weapon air to ground" button.

When i mark the red square and send a mav, the targeting point dissapear and i have to mark him again from 3rd person. You keep the square all the time, even after shooting the mav. How do you do this?

Feels like it. A-10 Late suffers when I play it, it's so buggy.
The main threat is IR SPAA in this BR range, so try always to stay out of 6km distance from the expected enemy air defense positions.

Your gameplay is insane. You basically have a good understanding of equipment and armaments.

It makes for interesting viewing I'll admit, however its very scummy how CAS can target literally anyone and there isn't shit that Timmy in his T-80U can do about it. I main SPAA, yes there's boring games just watching the radar pinging at absolutely nothing but last night I downed 8 aircraft in one game and the enemy team still won

While it can be fun when you go completely unretaliated, the Gay-10 Shithog is not very good. Especially compared to the SU-25s or the A6E. Both A-10s are artificially nerfed as well for the sake of creating a premium. Not only that but every other update it seems they nerf it's gun. Mavericks suck, and cost more than a full loadout of LGBs on the TRAM which are actually pretty reasonably reliable. The GBUs are completely useless because it's so slow too. So why ever bring it. Only other option is dumb weapons, which basic bombs are good if you can get close, FFARs suck, and the funny 3 gunpod load out just isn't practical. Plus the central pylon can't even be used.

Help you grind what nation\class? I mean if you got a plane you will grind the air tree only, and if you get a premium tank you will be able to grind tanks tree only (soon helicopters I guess too) .. for nations I recommend USA and USSR and other nations come later .. I think AV-8A, A2D-1 and XM-1 are good choices to grind the U.S air and ground trees, and for Russia T-72AV and Su-25k. Thanks :)
