You have a better chance to not crash, if you take the flaps up. When you attacking. :)
Sorry for the bad English....
Having flaps down reduces overall turn radius and increases maneuverability greatly. It also increases the overall lift generated, allowing a lowered overall airspeed. It's significantly better to be going slow with combat flaps.

I have never been a huge fan of the multi-player thing, or even the co-op stuff, until I began watching you guys. One thing I always loved doing in A3, was running Invade and Annex or running CAS in large MP vs AI (or player) operations. Was so incredibly relaxing listening to the hum of my engine then breaking out into full "unleash hell" mode, only to return back to my serene view at 4km above the battle.

I gotta say, I miss my gaming days. These CAS Mission Videos are super cool and about as realistic as you can get to the real thing (I served with 10th Mountain in Afghanistan and witnessed some CAS first-hand). But if you want to play a flight Sim that is as realistic as possible and arguably takes a lot more skill (only because of the difference in scenario), try Aces High. I'm very certain that its been upgraded quire a bit over the past years, but its a WW2 Land, Air, and Sea Sim and takes a lot of skill because you have to use all of your tools to win a dogfight such as your, rudder, flaps, etc. Real WW2 Combat Flight tactics are used and it is intense. No Heat-seeking missiles, no Gatling guns...just 20mm cannon or .50's and learning to lead targets, etc. Also CAS Missions, Bombing Runs, etc. Very cool, should check it out.

Learn to use the flaps up/down shortcut keys, makes for much faster turning, especially useful in dogfights.
CrimsonBlade A-10 Warthogs arent used for air to air combat. Thats also why they have long wings so they have as much accuracy and stabilisation making those gun runs.

I've been a console head all my life.... but I've been on your channel for about 1.5 months now, and between Arma 3 and this game my mind is truly blown... These simulations... just wasn't aware they existed to this depth. Literally getting a gaming cpu just to take it to the next level! Retski Yes, I make light of the issue as byproduct of my reply, and I see where there may be sensitivity over the matter. Although, there is some truth to the idea that people have mistakenly made UA-cam content creation their sole profession.
UA-cam shifts with the phases of the moon, and ignoring the fact that one's primary income is on toothpick stilts at all times is understandably stupid. The major content creators mostly unaffected by the Adpocalypse are the ones who have diversified their income. They are crowd-funded on Patreon, making ad revenue outside of AdSense through promotion and sponsorships, working another job, or any number of other means to stay afloat and make money. As my professor told me time and time again, one must have varying avenues of income to make any real money in life. One who stands on a single leg will fall when it's kicked out from under them.
I get that people hate the "I told you so" mentality, but this was a long time coming. Maybe this Adpocalypse wasn't predicted specifically, but UA-cam has always been finicky and perpetually shifting. Having an AdSense account as one's only source of income was dumb and wistful thinking. Google didn't kill UA-cam, UA-camrs who can't support themselves killed the site.
