11:18-11:56 "To be able to observe the surface of things that than reveal an unexpected depth. And on this surface to only leave the slightest mark. A gentle stroke; a paradoxical token of our deep knowledge and profound love. It's here that we see the poetry of the odyssey in these blank walls. From the oceans of stone to the sea Ulysses sailed the lesson remains the same - patience, gratuity, and fidelity to what we love. The elegant necessity to waste our time, and to some extent, lose ourselves." Namaste. (bows head)
Thank you Stéphanie for a poetic approach to rock climbing and thank you Bertrand Delapierre for this superb film. Bravo! The beauty of this production may encourage some climbers to rethink their criticisms for slab :) And for those who share this love, it'll be a wonderful meditation on the exciting dance!
Oh my. You nailed it...yes!! What a wonderful poetic piece on the transformational nature of our sport. Thank you for sharing your words and experiences.
Work of art. Inspiring and beautiful in every aspect. I watch it frequently just to remember. I show it to friends and most find it boring! :) But I never doubt it for the masterpiece that it is
This video was wonderful as were the thoughts expressed therein. I've come to the conclusion, which I reserve the right to change, that it is us that changes as the rock and the route remains static. That is why it's so exhilarating to revisit some routes I tried 5-10 years ago. Now I look at them differently. My strengths of physique, dexterity and reading the route have changed. It's like a fixed measures of length in the town square cut in stone for merchants and buyers. The routes await for me to help me realise how I have changed.
Great video, I learned to climb on slabs brings back wonderful memories. Really liked how climbing, meditation and yoga are weaved together in the story
It must be the most boring climbing movie I have ever watched. Still think that she is a superb climber but..... Just listening to her got me almost depressed, its only climbing not some high, spiritual life experience. If you climb, you start at the bottom of the crack and finish at the top (most of the time) Thats it.
Fantastic still
Absolutely gorgeous video and climb!
You make the pain of slabs beautiful
Ile de Beauté in so many ways!

Probably one of the best climb mini-docs I've seen! But what makes it special is the narrative...poetry indeed! Well done!
poetic narration... really beautiful cinematography...
Brilliant. The images of the transcendent poetry perfectly blended with the superb cinematography. What a wonderful piece of work!
Beautiful philosophy of movement and patience. Love this! Tres beau!
fantastic film, wonderful writing.
Definitely, one of the most beautiful climbing videos I've ever seen. Great work!
I love this film. It inspires me. So poetic.
This is one of the most beautiful climbing films I've seen. Wow

Beautiful, in Baja California we have a Slab Climbing Paradise, I completely understand your words, lovely words.
Hi Enrique, where is it in Baja exactly? I'd love to have a look! :)
Bravo!

Beautiful. This excellent production allowed me, if only for a moment, a fleeting glance at the Great Mystery. Thank you.
Very very nice.
Beautifully written

Very nice. Positivism is a mighty thing. I've also noticed positively talking to parts of your body has a positive effect. Very inspiring video.

Well done!
great climbing poetry
awesome
Oh, that music.
......... wow.......
Maybe I ask the last song of the film? Couldn't find the one which mentioned in the movie"un typo banal-Adel"
Thanks.
the music list is shown on 13'19"
ugh, nothing drives me up the wall like videos with LOUD music and VERY QUIET voices.
Poetically sore feet ! Yes, nice
souhaite que vous Řepy.
It is pathetic just as you think. Do it without bolts. The mantra is boltless
Beautiful climbin, but seriously, this failed poetry clustered all over it.....

Completely agree
Dan Osman plus a Slayer sound track being the complete antithesis (nyuck!)
What a shame
It can be harder to appreciate more poetic forms of expression when you are used to loud, flashy, and obvious.

Nice climbing but we don't need your poetry. We just want to see the climbing.
Then just mute it
