Cool to see other True Bow Tie Car guys I have a 10 camaro ss m6 , 94 z28 ,70chevelle, 72 c10 short bed, 64impala 2 door, 84s10shortbed, and a 15 GMC Denali, and I build cars for a living own my hot rod shop, I’m 43 and Gid has Blessed me BEYOND words, I love Camaros and hot rods I’ve bees around cars my WHOLE life it’s my drug of choice!! Lol great channel Bro!!👍🏼👍🏼
Like your video I put the Kooks longtube headers with free flow cats . And they are pretty high $1447 with the race catalytic converters then the Roto Fab filter $414 , HP Tune $649 Corsa catback exhaust system $1310 even though I spent a lot of money on all that equipment for the car I love every bit of it and besides I had a friend of mine love working on Camaros he owns two of them a 92 and a 93 SS and he's basically did a lot of work to both of them and since we best friends he did all the work on the SS for free it took him about two days to do everything but he got it sounded good and running good and he also did the tune to it too with his HP laptop program . And I order all my equipment through Summit Racing
Love your videos! I sold my STi about 3 weeks ago and picked up a 2014 ss in factory form and unmolested. It has been sitting in the garage getting upgrades. I bought a tsp 235 248 cam and lots more! I have been getting my fix by watching your videos while my car is under construction.
Nasty 2SS I'm located in Boone NC by the way. We have regular meets up here during the spring and summer. Are there any large car meets down there where you are?
My 2011 SS makes 578 whp and 526 ft lbs. I use the Mast Motorsports cam and heads, Fast intake and Kooks headers. Very simple setup and makes excellent power through 6,800 rpm. Plus it screams like a banshee. I spent a little more than what was described in this video, but it’s absolutely worth the difference to be able to smoke pre 2016 ZL1s while naturally aspirated.
Just ordered an off road kit for my 2014 ss, and it was headers, cat delete, x pipe, and mufflers for 1700. not too bad. They go on this week and we will see.
Right on Brother!! Do a flashback friday special on that old cop car project!! Thanks for doing a rundown on your current setup, I was looking for ideas on what to do next, and honestly, I don't know much about Texas Speed, definitely gonna look into them and see what all they have available. Also never heard of solo. After hearing your opinion on the ported throttle body, I think i'll skip that one, lol. 491 at the tires??!! Damn, that's some awesome gains!! Very informative, thanks again.
No problem man! Texas Speed makes an awesome product. I would rather spend my money on a Vitesse throttle controller than the throttle body. I may order one soon and do a a review on it. Thanks for watching man!
Before Heads my car Made 498whp with stage 4 TSP cam.... ebay headers that costed me $160 and an Xpipe.... stock manifold and Tb but I have Vararam intake ... Good Vid 👍🏻
Thanks for the Run down! Two things left for me are headers and the high-flows. Don't think I will go with a cam since it is my daily driver. BTW, loving my new Corsa Xtreme! Man, finally sounds like it should.
Your numbers are higher than average so I wouldn’t be disappointed. In fact I wonder if your dyno was 10-20 too high. Awesome anyway. My 15 1le put down 470/435. Shop does 100s and says they’re all around that.
I recently got Kooks Headers 2in by 3in collector and 3in Exhaust system (straight pipe) with a Vararam Intake on my 14 Camaro ss (manual) and made 455RWHP and 460RWTQ. I'm getting the same cam f35 next😀
I got my headers from speed engineering for 365 and came with cats and hooked right up to my factory exhaust 1 7/8 is the one I got for my 2011 camaro SS
Cam, innovator west underdrive pully, 160 thermostat, CAI, Headers, tuned, Cat delete, H pipe, 3.91 gears, lowered 1 inch, blacked out side markers. Thats about it.
Kooks long tube heads with highflow cats 1300 including labor Cold air cai 500 Flowmaster cat back 1200 including labor Hp tune 450 373whp 393torque turner said dyno reads low. 2010 ss l99
What about stainless works headers and exhaust. Did u have it tuned or did you do it your self. If so what tuner did you use. What’s the difference of all the different cams they have stage 1,2 etc
Stainless works is good. Mine were installed with a friend, and at the time my tuner was Chris at RPM Motorsports. I go to PowerHouse Performance now. Difference stage cams have different lift/duration and overlap
I came across your channel and subscribed. Interesting, I have a ZEX Nitrous Install Video I posted to my channel, it's been performing very good for the past season. What area do you live in, I hit the dragstrips around Charlotte, NC sometimes, I'm up near Mooresville.
Kevin Kotchevar speed engineering headers are just as good, $1300 is not needed when you can get high quality long tubes, off road connection pipes and gm header gaskets. Paid $380 delivered and installation was a breeze. Kooks are way over priced.
If you need hollow cats Texas speed I'd the way to go for a little more. I just didn't do cats because I didn't want to worry about burning up with Nitrous or a Supercharger. To each his own, for my purpose and getting into the 10s at the 1/4 mile is my short term goal, while maintaining street drivability.
I’m confused on the resonator and second cats. I maybe wrong but from what I saw under the car. There’s two cat looking objects in exhaust line when I had it on a lift. The first is behind wires and definetly a cat but the second is larger and may only be a a resonator. Is there another cat I didn’t see?
I plan to cut mine. Thought it was only resonator is there another cat to cut? Planning to get done next week prob with my American Thunder Flowmaster setup
got 2 things. did you need a tune after the long tube headers install? and i have a little sound coming from my cold air inductions CAI, do you have any idea what that could be?
@@Nasty2SS Thanks for the heads up! I appreciate it. the sound comes whenever I step on the gas or sometimes on a bumpy road. I think its a loose screw on the cover but whenever i tighten it back up it gets loose again. It's kinda like a buzzing sound.
Hey bro, who tuned your car? Look into getting a Vitesse throttle controller, that is a cheap, feel it in the "butt dyno" add on and you can install it in like 30 minutes
i think every car is different i put the vitesse in my car and it kept going into limp mode i had to take it out but ill sell mine cheap if you want it lol
For whatever reason it won't let me reply in to you in that other post. I stumbled on your channel because I'm looking at a Cam for my LS3, we have all the same mods minus the cam. I'm going to try to do it myself to save on labor.
What's up man. I want to cam my camaro. I'm running straight pipes, cai, stage 2 clutch, and a cam tune. Is there anything else I need to do so the car won't break?
Axles lol. I’ve broke a couple of them after my cam swap. If the install and tuning are spot on, you shouldn’t have any issues. I’ve gone about 10k miles since my cam swap. I haven’t had a single issue!
Honestly, it’s hard to say. I am very happy with the cam set up that I have now. It’s durable and reliable. If I were to choose any other cam, it would probably be the LG G6X3 cam. I know a guy who made 495rwhp and 461rwtq off of it. TSP 231/236 cam is also good. Still gives good top end and but a little more low end torque.
I got the same setup Todd G has. It's a Bryan Tooley Racing cam BTR stage 3 very aggressive 501 rwhp 478 torque I have 60,000 miles on it and very little problems. The right tune makes a difference.
Fire your tuner. Your dyno numbers are terrible. A good tuner can achieve those numbers with a stock cam, long tubes, cai, ported tb. As far as your cam choice...very bad. I don’t think those headers on eBay includes cats/catless pipes which is probably why they’re so cheap
You’re right. I realized that as soon as I posted the video. FML.

Nasty 2SS I'm located in Boone NC by the way. We have regular meets up here during the spring and summer. Are there any large car meets down there where you are?
Nice. I may have to check one out. There are some pretty big meets here. I haven’t been to any local meets in a while
Nasty 2SS we usually go on a blue ridge parkway cruse afterwards. Lots of overlooks and great photo opportunities.

So you’re saying you’re 100 more than the typical cam only camaro?!
478 whp and 426 ft lbs, there I fixed those numbers for you cause you aren't making that unless you are stroked or boosted.
I got the TSP headers about a year ago and absolutely love them. Have held up great
Mine have been in back order for 2+ months!! They will be here soon but still... 😬😂I’m fuckin pumped
Nice information! TSP 1 7/8’s are still available btw. Catless mids, gaskets, O2 extensions $519.. high flow cats $819 and 304 stainless 👍🏼
Thanks!
Good to know, I couldn’t find them in their website for some reason!
I got kooks 1 1/8 LTs, Hiflo cats, 3” xpipe, stock mufflers, VCM intake, and a tune on my ‘17 SS and I love it.

I put the 3.91 gears from the 1LE in my 1SS and picked up 13% more torque. Have 471 ft lbs last dyno.
I’ve been looking at gears. That’s probably what I’ll be doing next!
Cost me 1755 parts and labor at Chevy. You may get a better deal since you used to work at a Chevy dealer.
hey how's your rpms on the street. say 40mph in 4th gear and 75 in 6th? is it a dramatic increase from stock?
Will let you know tomorow. Just got question
In 4th at 40 it's 1910 rpm. 75mph in 5th is 1990 to 2000

Hey Jeremy - Love your stuff man. I've really been watching all the KraftWerks stuff too... got me thinking I need to do that too. Car is amazing!
Thank you! New video up next week with the final numbers!

Wow! Those numbers sound generous.
I had a generous dyno first time around. It was 44 too high
3:91's will solve your torque problem won't it?
I got my headers from speed engineering for 365 and came with cats and hooked right up to my factory exhaust 1 7/8 is the one I got for my 2011 camaro SS
Steven Clay where did you get those from? Looking to get LTs
Look up speed engineering on the internet
Steven Clay I did and the only ones I was able to find were the catless ones. Can't find the ones with cats
It’s not cats

got 2 things. did you need a tune after the long tube headers install? and i have a little sound coming from my cold air inductions CAI, do you have any idea what that could be?

Nasty 2SS you'll be impressed immensely.
Have you had any issues such as the car going into limp mode?
Nasty 2SS sure haven't, it's been installed for right at 2.5 years. No issues what so ever

It’s an LS3, not L99. No torque converter

Was kinda thinking about Texas speed or stainless works headers and corsa for the Zl1
Have you changed after clutch I have a 2010 SS and changed out my clutch to a more aggressive clutch and found that I gained more torque for sure
Stock clutch
So are you still using stock fuel injectors and pump with all the mods you have done?
Yes. Still on factory injectors and fuel pump. Will upgrade once I move up to nitrous or forced induction!
Nasty 2SS thanks I just got my 14 Camaro SS putting Texas speed top end and exhaust on first thing
No problem. Nice!
Ok so I love your video and all the info ,but how fast does the car go in the 1/4 mile
