Jod is surrounded by Battledroids, the Onyx Cinder is locked down and if the Frigate destroys a few satellites to breakthrough At Attin absolutely has those massive building top turbo lasers and probably a few squadrons of droid starfighters. Jod is in a lot of trouble, the Supervisor might even be an Imperial Remnant Moff. Jod might be robbing Thrawn.
So he speaks to the supervisor, and sees the controls for the barrier. And turns it off. at attain which has been stockpiling ingots for centuries for no one, can now rejoin the rest of the galaxy.

I had the same reaction, any character showing cruelty to animals is almost never going to be redeemed. Also he could have killed or caused serious harm to the children at multiple points and didn't. They clearly don't want us to hate Jod too much.
I’d love for him to be redeemed. We saw Jod taking care of the kids and he was really going for the riches, not for chances of being evil. But when they were in the pirate vault, he flooded the surface with acid when he heard the pursuers.

Jod is not a liar, he is an actor and opportunism and trauma combine to create his personas. His villain persona has gone too far maybe but one reason it has gone too far is because the kids have gotten into his head. Especially Wim. They have a connection and Jod has an internal struggle against being a weak child and being the ruthless adult he has become. Wim is a reminder of what drove him to lose his innocence or security. For a long time it has been all about survival for Jod. Now the kids who have crossed paths with him for a reason have given him a reason to reconsider his own meaning of life. He has a glimmer of hope. When he was cruel to them after decapitating sm 33 his facial expressions weren’t all that terrifying and his voice sounded more like a kid trying to bully other kids. He told the kids he’d carve up their parents in a particularly unmenacing tone. Carve sounds comical I feel because he didn’t say it as cruelly as a Brutus would. It was more of a taunt. It was a scary word that was also a bit overly dramatic. He’s trying hard to keep his villain persona but it is crumbling. It started crumbling when 33 broke open his helmet with a punch much like Ashoka did to Anakin with her lightsaber. Jod wore his helmet again to play the role like Kylo Ren did with his own helmet and his use of Vaders helmet as a symbol of his resolve to be dark. Jod is a big kid with darkness coursing through his veins but now the kids are breaking his concentration and I feel his persona will crumble in a split second decision like Vader had when he threw Palpatine down a shaft.
Wearing a helmet helps protect your facial expressions. I imagine Lando had trouble knowing whether Vader was telling the truth. Too bad they didn't show that scene at the end of _Solo._
I'm for that. "You're too young to be a Jedi." "Are you claiming to be one?" "No, but I had two weeks of training." "So did I. And I am a Jedi." Lightsabers flare. Luke disarms him as quickly as Vader did him in _The Empire Strikes Back._
The kids have to have a role in winning at the end. Whym does something impulsive to get them free, KB hacks the droids, Fern commands them, Neel sues for peace.
I felt this show didn't give them much agency. As Jod said, at the start they were weak, sheltered, spoiled children. I felt they should have learned something in school to help them, even conflict-resolution being on a planet of peace for 1000 years that they could have used to unite the tribes on At Achrann. Maybe K.B. called Kh'ymm for help and they're on the way.
The boy, however, is a hero. Wynn is force sensitive. The light saber called him, not Jod. Jod only found it when the boy tried to use it to confront him.
He's not Force sensitive! He walked around the room and saw a lightsaber. I would understand if he, like Rey in episode 7, heard whispers and began to walk in a certain direction and at the end found a lightsaber somewhere hidden under a pile of things. But the lightsaber was literally lying in plain sight and only a blind person could miss it.

And do you even understand that if he really is force sensitive, it means that Luke will take him for training, and we all know very well what happened to the children he took for training.
At-Atton has been isolated since before order 66. So I guess you could call him a survivor. He probably never knew there was an order 66. Still I don’t think anyone had been in or out in hundreds of years. I doubt the supervisor is a Jedi. Unless he’s a long lived species, or there is a chain of Jedi. (Perhaps chosen by the exams.) that someone is chosen to be his apprentice from time to time to train a replacement. If so maybe Wim didn’t have to dread the exam.
Someone suggested the tradition of an Emissary was a Jedi. They haven't asked Jod for I.D. or credentials. If they take a blood test it will show he's a Force-user, so maybe can win. But will he trust that the Supervisor would just let him go with a ship full of money and not turn the defenses against him? He's caught up in the "Ecstasy of Gold" like the Dwarves in _the Hobbit_ so is dangerous, not thinking clearly.
The next big surprise is the reveal on who is the supervisor. I think its the pirate captain Tag Rennet. But I like your hypothesis that the supervisor is an order 66 jedi survivor. Then he can train the dreamer kid.
What if Jod was one of the younglings jumping around with ashoka and Hondo in the clone wars, and later helped hondo against the separatists, and maybe he turned to hondo during order 66 and hondo helped him survive order 66 and smuggled him out of the empire territory and took him under his wing. Another thing supporting this theory is the fact that the Wookiee from the group survived if he survived why can’t the others. Btw Im too tired to make this sound goood so hopefully you get the idea
Saw a video suggesting he might be someone called Petro. And another video showed a screen capture of the holo, which looks like a Weequay, Hondo's race.
I don’t mind if Jod ends up a hero, but it better come with some kind of noble sacrifice because I see him as a bully, and the atrocities and cruelty that he’s shown throughout the show is unforgivable, and this character does not deserve to stay alive even if he does do something selfless to redeem himself.
I'd like to see him punished for his crimes: imprisoned with rehabilitation, and not escaping like his character in _Treasure Island_ or _Treasure Planet._
Jod is probably an Order 66 survivor operating on fear. Maybe in the final episode Luke Skywalker shows up and saves the kids as the new republic sent him there.

Captain is the mouse, Snowball, I think, I think he lives in the droid, that's why he seemed to glitch and change protocol in a few episodes. Mice go down with the ship and it would fit the droidcentric arc + fit with the hermit crab last episode. I wonder what kind of "snowball" effect this will have. I do not think that Jod is a survivor of order 66 (how many are there) but a traded slave kid (like Anakin hence intro helmet) who had a rough childhood and life afterwards, perhaps freed by Rennods.
Mouse/rat could have a _Ratatouille_ thing going on, giving advice to SM-33, but I think the captain Rennod died 100-200 years ago like SM-33 said. I think Jod had two weeks of training at the Jedi Temple and became homesick, quit, flunked out or was expelled. Then his parents had moved house and he couldn't find them. Only then did Order 66 happen and he had to change his name and survive on his own.
I love the videos keep them coming! With the Onyx Cinder being crashed in At Attin how would Rennod take out the supervisor who was a Jedi? Or did I miss something, it feels like Tak never really set foot on the planet.
People think he didn't die and is on At Attin and became Supervisor, despite what SM-33 said. He may have arrived 100-200 years ago, so maybe he's cryogenically frozen, and is being thawed out right now. I give that only a 10% chance. Some want him to fight Jod, or change places with him.
The first order arrives, jod and the pirates redeem themselves by getting the kids out. The season ends with the pirates dying for something more than a piece of treasure.
The beacon the parents sent out has a barrier access code inside of it, the remaining pirates or the New Republic will find that beacon, and code to gain access to At Attin. We still aren’t sure if the New Republic has barrier access codes or not, they may be aware of the planets location but not privy to how to disable the barrier.
Good point. The frigate could be hovering over the city while Jod is down in the vault not knowing what to do next. That would be a call-back to Neel knowing there's a gun on the school to use against it. But I think that the X-wings will play some part in taking them down.
But they didn’t transmit the coordinates so if someone else picks it up. They won’t know where to go. I doubt there are any emissaries left that know the coordinates. HOWEVER, I suspect Kh’Ymm had the coordinates pretty quick but all the rest was just her trying to stall Jod. Also why she gave him the coordinates of At Akron. It wasn’t a mistake. It was just that Kh’ymm wasn’t about to give him the real coordinates.
She might not have had the data for At Attin, but did get information for At Achrann because it fell and still had green gas around it. But I do hope K.B. called for her help off-screen and it's on the way.
I feel like this show might not appeal to the modern kids today but they'll become 30-somethings and revisit. I'm older - I'm loving this series. Somewhere between Bad Batch and Andor for us old nerds. Goonies sure but even I'm too old to really care about those 1980's references. I think I watched Goonies on VHS around 1987. It was fine.
The pirates aboard the frigate will use the barrier access key on the device sent up by the parents, to get through the barrier, and Jod will be forced to help defend the planet, aided by the cannons on the roof of the school. Probably operated by Wim.
I think in the ending we'll see a mysterious x-wing fly down to At Attin and a cloaked figure will walk around for awhile taking out pirates. Then we'll have a new epic hallway scene with the reveal of Luke Skywalker saving the day! Also he takes Jod with him to train in his new academy lol
I think it is still possible Jod will redeem himself. A good redemption arc reaches the lowest point in the episode before the last one. I agree with the person who pointed out Jod did not squish the little animal that lives in 33's head. I think the kids causing the ship to jettison the ugly outside hull revealing the sleek ship inside might have been foreshadowing of Jod being transformed the same way. Of course, Jod might be a jerk, and they will ultimately explode the barrier to reveal the planet.

That’s true, because the citizens of At Attin aren’t aware the republic they served has fallen however, that only happened at the point of the empire rising. Up until order 66 it was still the same republic which likely knew of the planets location
I don't think the Supervisor is a Jedi or Force-user, but I think the Emissary is expected to be one. They haven't asked him for I.D., credentials or a code, so maybe they do a blood test that checks to see if he's a Force-user (I know people hate the Midi-chlorians). But that would fit so well. (Oh, and if Luke shows up, they could ask for his hand to take a blood sample and it doesn't work. "You're other hand.") Someone said that "Offload" meant take treasure off the _Onyx Cinder._ Boy would Jod be surprised. If not then he could get the ship loaded and find he's too suspicious to believe they're just going to let him go. Or if he gets to the frigate, how will he expect the crew to react? Maybe he takes the parents and children with him? People say that with the communications buoy pirates could examine it to try to find the access codes. By the time Jod figures out what to do in the vaults, perhaps they've passed through the barrier? In which case the gun on the school might be needed. But I think they need the X-Wings to do something; perhaps K.B. called Kh'ymm off-screen?
I'd love for Jod to meet his end locked in in one of those vaults. Starving or suffocating in the presence of all the credits he'd ever dreamed of. But that would probably negate a S2.

I’m thinking of this more just as an origin story. So they may not need Jod as the bad guy. HOWEVER he makes an excellent bad guy. I’d love to see more of him. But then there’s a potential here for a Jod origin story.
Don't think they're interested in a season 2, since they filmed this 3 years ago. But yes, while he's suffering "Ecstasy of Gold" he's not thinking clearly, and might not want to leave the vaults for fear of being killed, robbed or not being let back in.
I was thinking stephen fry could be a jedi the same species as yoda and grogu so they could easily be 600 yrs old. which would make a good excuse for mando to turn up
Interestingly, I think the society has been stagnant for centuries...so Jod wouldn't be wrong to destroy the barrier. Whether the new Republic and Ky'mmm sweep in to save them from the pirates may be part of the ending battle.
It’s ran by no one it’s just a program or a.i. no one questioned who the supervisor was so it just kept running without a skip. I don’t think Jod will go back to his crew instead just taking over the supervisor position
If I take the name Jod Silvo seriously and look at his origin Long John Silver, he will grab some of the treasure and escape. We probably will get a redemption arc in the next season.
I still think that Jod is going to save the kids in the end or otherwise be "redeemed". If the Supervisor has a goal of keeping At Attin hidden, and its secret situation hidden from the residents, he may want to kill the children and their parents. That might set up a situation where Jod kills/disables the Supervisor and becomes the new one. They've given Jod too many likeable qualities and limited just how bad he's really been for a reason, and I don't think having him turn into a Sidious like figure is a serious possibility. The fact that he cut off a robot's head or held a child hostage for a few seconds really doesn't make him a Sith or anything like that.
From whom? It's a little late to have characters we haven't seen or talked about. There's some Banking Clan members who might not be happy if At Attin pays the New Republic's debts and brings the galaxy to prosperity.
It would certainly be a nice story if Stephen Fry played a surviving Jedi who is the supervisor of At Attin. However, that very much depends on how long the planet has been in isolation. If it really has been out of contact with the rest of the galaxy since the High Republic era, i.e. 100-150 years, the supervisor can hardly be an Order 66 survivor. If the isolation was later, then of course he could be. However, the complete absence of Jedi on At Attin also seems unlikely to me. Even if none have been seen so far, they are known on At Attin after such a long period of isolation and school children still learn about them. In the Old Republic, the Jedi would have certainly known about At Attin and probably had a role in protecting and/or managing the planet. A Jedi presence on the planet would of course be great and desirable. However, the makers of the Star Wars series and films of recent years have generally avoided such complex stories and chosen simple, predictable, often disapointing stories and endings. Unfortunately. In any case, we'll know more next week.
In true Star Wars fashion, if you don't see a character die on screen, are they really dead? I think Brutus isn't dead, takes control of the frigate and using the tech in the drone, is able to slip by the barrier and start attacking the planet. Jod realising the pirates have turned on him again decides to help save the planet. it all comes down to destroying the frigate with the turbo laser on the roof of the planet. I can't decide if there will be a fight between the jedi supervisor and Jod yet.
Yeah, I can see Neel cranking open the gun on top of the school. But we don't need Brutus as the bad guy; Jod is. Brutus was given a chance, but said he didn't want treasure, just revenge.
My fan theory builds on what you have said. The Supervisor is indeed a Jedi. He makes short work of Jod, disarming him and putting him in the custody of the droids. The New Republic swoops in, with Din and Carson, and take out the pirates, and then take control of the Mint. Jod is then installed as the new Supervisor allowing the current one to retire. I also have a way-out-there theory that Anakin didn't murder the younglings. I think Jod could possibly be the one who asks Anakin "what should we do?" to which Anakin, after a pause, says "Run"! In neither the Obe-Wan nor the Mandalorian, do we get confirmation that Anakin actually killed the Younglings. To the best of my knowledge this has never been confirmed. The upcoming Thrawn movie could then pick up with Thrawn attacking the Mint to using the funds to start the First Order.
The supervisor is probably a jedi from before the jedi/sith order split. They'll probably give jod order 66 ptsd before forcing him to be the apprentice and the next eventual supervisor. in the Obi/anakin comics they go to a planet very similar to at achrann. The "Jedi" in the old recording, had red lightsabers.

There is much more to Jod than anyone can imagine, or speculate in my perspective. This episode was a curve ball, and I believe it's creators have solidified the Second Season. *I want to believe that there is still good in him. Sound familiar? On another note, I really do appreciate your presentation here. The manner in which you have produced these reviews is not only mature, but thorough as well. What if speculations can be deceptive, and proposed all day. Remembering that all of Star Wars is a fictional story is a factor easily distorted by the fandom. Many of which have forgotten their role as audience, and become critical of canon. Let's not forget that the writers are telling us their perception of events, as opposed to catering to the audiences desires. This Series, has just begun. There is more than enough time for redemption arcs, given the reception of this introduction. May the Force be with Us... Always💫
Growing up as a kid, I always wanted to live in the Star Wars universe. Now that I see the Star Wars universe is 99% pirates raiding planets. I think I’m gonna pass lol. Almost every show was basically pirates attacking other pirates pirates attacking bounty, hunters and scoundrels every single planet. The one planet that look nice to live on Darth Vader blew it out of the universe lol I think I’ll just stick with planet earth for a while, but the show was actually been nice to some of the crap we’ve had.
The onyx cinder looks like a hotrodded out empirial troop carrier to me. Like if you took the troop carriers that came down on Mando and Boba Fet when he was trying to get his armor back from Mando but just add a little bit bigger wing and the engines and presto, its the onyx cinder! Buuuut, I could be wrong 🤷🏼

I felt this show didn't give them much agency. As Jod said, at the start they were weak, sheltered, spoiled children. I felt they should have learned something in school to help them, even conflict-resolution being on a planet of peace for 1000 years that they could have used to unite the tribes on At Achrann.
Maybe K.B. called Kh'ymm for help and they're on the way.
The boy, however, is a hero. Wynn is force sensitive. The light saber called him, not Jod. Jod only found it when the boy tried to use it to confront him.
He's not Force sensitive! He walked around the room and saw a lightsaber. I would understand if he, like Rey in episode 7, heard whispers and began to walk in a certain direction and at the end found a lightsaber somewhere hidden under a pile of things. But the lightsaber was literally lying in plain sight and only a blind person could miss it.

And do you even understand that if he really is force sensitive, it means that Luke will take him for training, and we all know very well what happened to the children he took for training.
At-Atton has been isolated since before order 66. So I guess you could call him a survivor. He probably never knew there was an order 66. Still I don’t think anyone had been in or out in hundreds of years. I doubt the supervisor is a Jedi. Unless he’s a long lived species, or there is a chain of Jedi. (Perhaps chosen by the exams.) that someone is chosen to be his apprentice from time to time to train a replacement. If so maybe Wim didn’t have to dread the exam.
Someone suggested the tradition of an Emissary was a Jedi. They haven't asked Jod for I.D. or credentials. If they take a blood test it will show he's a Force-user, so maybe can win. But will he trust that the Supervisor would just let him go with a ship full of money and not turn the defenses against him? He's caught up in the "Ecstasy of Gold" like the Dwarves in _the Hobbit_ so is dangerous, not thinking clearly.
The next big surprise is the reveal on who is the supervisor. I think its the pirate captain Tag Rennet. But I like your hypothesis that the supervisor is an order 66 jedi survivor. Then he can train the dreamer kid.
What if Jod was one of the younglings jumping around with ashoka and Hondo in the clone wars, and later helped hondo against the separatists, and maybe he turned to hondo during order 66 and hondo helped him survive order 66 and smuggled him out of the empire territory and took him under his wing. Another thing supporting this theory is the fact that the Wookiee from the group survived if he survived why can’t the others. Btw Im too tired to make this sound goood so hopefully you get the idea

I don’t mind if Jod ends up a hero, but it better come with some kind of noble sacrifice because I see him as a bully, and the atrocities and cruelty that he’s shown throughout the show is unforgivable, and this character does not deserve to stay alive even if he does do something selfless to redeem himself.
I'd like to see him punished for his crimes: imprisoned with rehabilitation, and not escaping like his character in _Treasure Island_ or _Treasure Planet._
Jod is probably an Order 66 survivor operating on fear. Maybe in the final episode Luke Skywalker shows up and saves the kids as the new republic sent him there.

Captain is the mouse, Snowball, I think, I think he lives in the droid, that's why he seemed to glitch and change protocol in a few episodes. Mice go down with the ship and it would fit the droidcentric arc + fit with the hermit crab last episode. I wonder what kind of "snowball" effect this will have.
I do not think that Jod is a survivor of order 66 (how many are there) but a traded slave kid (like Anakin hence intro helmet) who had a rough childhood and life afterwards, perhaps freed by Rennods.
Mouse/rat could have a _Ratatouille_ thing going on, giving advice to SM-33, but I think the captain Rennod died 100-200 years ago like SM-33 said.
I think Jod had two weeks of training at the Jedi Temple and became homesick, quit, flunked out or was expelled. Then his parents had moved house and he couldn't find them. Only then did Order 66 happen and he had to change his name and survive on his own.

With the Onyx Cinder being crashed in At Attin how would Rennod take out the supervisor who was a Jedi? Or did I miss something, it feels like Tak never really set foot on the planet.
People think he didn't die and is on At Attin and became Supervisor, despite what SM-33 said. He may have arrived 100-200 years ago, so maybe he's cryogenically frozen, and is being thawed out right now. I give that only a 10% chance. Some want him to fight Jod, or change places with him.
The first order arrives, jod and the pirates redeem themselves by getting the kids out. The season ends with the pirates dying for something more than a piece of treasure.
The beacon the parents sent out has a barrier access code inside of it, the remaining pirates or the New Republic will find that beacon, and code to gain access to At Attin. We still aren’t sure if the New Republic has barrier access codes or not, they may be aware of the planets location but not privy to how to disable the barrier.
Good point. The frigate could be hovering over the city while Jod is down in the vault not knowing what to do next. That would be a call-back to Neel knowing there's a gun on the school to use against it. But I think that the X-wings will play some part in taking them down.
But they didn’t transmit the coordinates so if someone else picks it up. They won’t know where to go. I doubt there are any emissaries left that know the coordinates. HOWEVER, I suspect Kh’Ymm had the coordinates pretty quick but all the rest was just her trying to stall Jod. Also why she gave him the coordinates of At Akron. It wasn’t a mistake. It was just that Kh’ymm wasn’t about to give him the real coordinates.
She might not have had the data for At Attin, but did get information for At Achrann because it fell and still had green gas around it. But I do hope K.B. called for her help off-screen and it's on the way.

I feel like this show might not appeal to the modern kids today but they'll become 30-somethings and revisit. I'm older - I'm loving this series. Somewhere between Bad Batch and Andor for us old nerds. Goonies sure but even I'm too old to really care about those 1980's references. I think I watched Goonies on VHS around 1987. It was fine.
The pirates aboard the frigate will use the barrier access key on the device sent up by the parents, to get through the barrier, and Jod will be forced to help defend the planet, aided by the cannons on the roof of the school. Probably operated by Wim.
I think in the ending we'll see a mysterious x-wing fly down to At Attin and a cloaked figure will walk around for awhile taking out pirates. Then we'll have a new epic hallway scene with the reveal of Luke Skywalker saving the day! Also he takes Jod with him to train in his new academy lol

I think it is still possible Jod will redeem himself. A good redemption arc reaches the lowest point in the episode before the last one. I agree with the person who pointed out Jod did not squish the little animal that lives in 33's head. I think the kids causing the ship to jettison the ugly outside hull revealing the sleek ship inside might have been foreshadowing of Jod being transformed the same way.
Of course, Jod might be a jerk, and they will ultimately explode the barrier to reveal the planet.

That’s true, because the citizens of At Attin aren’t aware the republic they served has fallen however, that only happened at the point of the empire rising. Up until order 66 it was still the same republic which likely knew of the planets location

I don't think the Supervisor is a Jedi or Force-user, but I think the Emissary is expected to be one. They haven't asked him for I.D., credentials or a code, so maybe they do a blood test that checks to see if he's a Force-user (I know people hate the Midi-chlorians). But that would fit so well. (Oh, and if Luke shows up, they could ask for his hand to take a blood sample and it doesn't work. "You're other hand.")
Someone said that "Offload" meant take treasure off the _Onyx Cinder._ Boy would Jod be surprised.
If not then he could get the ship loaded and find he's too suspicious to believe they're just going to let him go. Or if he gets to the frigate, how will he expect the crew to react? Maybe he takes the parents and children with him?
People say that with the communications buoy pirates could examine it to try to find the access codes. By the time Jod figures out what to do in the vaults, perhaps they've passed through the barrier? In which case the gun on the school might be needed. But I think they need the X-Wings to do something; perhaps K.B. called Kh'ymm off-screen?

I’m thinking of this more just as an origin story. So they may not need Jod as the bad guy. HOWEVER he makes an excellent bad guy. I’d love to see more of him. But then there’s a potential here for a Jod origin story.

It’s ran by no one it’s just a program or a.i. no one questioned who the supervisor was so it just kept running without a skip. I don’t think Jod will go back to his crew instead just taking over the supervisor position
If I take the name Jod Silvo seriously and look at his origin Long John Silver, he will grab some of the treasure and escape.
We probably will get a redemption arc in the next season.

I still think that Jod is going to save the kids in the end or otherwise be "redeemed". If the Supervisor has a goal of keeping At Attin hidden, and its secret situation hidden from the residents, he may want to kill the children and their parents. That might set up a situation where Jod kills/disables the Supervisor and becomes the new one. They've given Jod too many likeable qualities and limited just how bad he's really been for a reason, and I don't think having him turn into a Sidious like figure is a serious possibility. The fact that he cut off a robot's head or held a child hostage for a few seconds really doesn't make him a Sith or anything like that.
From whom? It's a little late to have characters we haven't seen or talked about. There's some Banking Clan members who might not be happy if At Attin pays the New Republic's debts and brings the galaxy to prosperity.
It would certainly be a nice story if Stephen Fry played a surviving Jedi who is the supervisor of At Attin. However, that very much depends on how long the planet has been in isolation. If it really has been out of contact with the rest of the galaxy since the High Republic era, i.e. 100-150 years, the supervisor can hardly be an Order 66 survivor. If the isolation was later, then of course he could be. However, the complete absence of Jedi on At Attin also seems unlikely to me. Even if none have been seen so far, they are known on At Attin after such a long period of isolation and school children still learn about them. In the Old Republic, the Jedi would have certainly known about At Attin and probably had a role in protecting and/or managing the planet.
A Jedi presence on the planet would of course be great and desirable. However, the makers of the Star Wars series and films of recent years have generally avoided such complex stories and chosen simple, predictable, often disapointing stories and endings. Unfortunately.
In any case, we'll know more next week.

In true Star Wars fashion, if you don't see a character die on screen, are they really dead? I think Brutus isn't dead, takes control of the frigate and using the tech in the drone, is able to slip by the barrier and start attacking the planet. Jod realising the pirates have turned on him again decides to help save the planet. it all comes down to destroying the frigate with the turbo laser on the roof of the planet. I can't decide if there will be a fight between the jedi supervisor and Jod yet.
Yeah, I can see Neel cranking open the gun on top of the school. But we don't need Brutus as the bad guy; Jod is. Brutus was given a chance, but said he didn't want treasure, just revenge.
My fan theory builds on what you have said. The Supervisor is indeed a Jedi. He makes short work of Jod, disarming him and putting him in the custody of the droids. The New Republic swoops in, with Din and Carson, and take out the pirates, and then take control of the Mint. Jod is then installed as the new Supervisor allowing the current one to retire. I also have a way-out-there theory that Anakin didn't murder the younglings. I think Jod could possibly be the one who asks Anakin "what should we do?" to which Anakin, after a pause, says "Run"! In neither the Obe-Wan nor the Mandalorian, do we get confirmation that Anakin actually killed the Younglings. To the best of my knowledge this has never been confirmed. The upcoming Thrawn movie could then pick up with Thrawn attacking the Mint to using the funds to start the First Order.

in the Obi/anakin comics they go to a planet very similar to at achrann. The "Jedi" in the old recording, had red lightsabers.
Yoda was 800 years old, but I don't see a Jedi being 1000 years old, which I think is how long At Attin has been out of contact with the galaxy.

This episode was a curve ball, and I believe it's creators have solidified the Second Season.

Remembering that all of Star Wars is a fictional story is a factor easily distorted by the fandom. Many of which have forgotten their role as audience, and become critical of canon. Let's not forget that the writers are telling us their perception of events, as opposed to catering to the audiences desires.
This Series, has just begun.
There is more than enough time for redemption arcs, given the reception of this introduction.

Growing up as a kid, I always wanted to live in the Star Wars universe. Now that I see the Star Wars universe is 99% pirates raiding planets. I think I’m gonna pass lol. Almost every show was basically pirates attacking other pirates pirates attacking bounty, hunters and scoundrels every single planet. The one planet that look nice to live on Darth Vader blew it out of the universe lol I think I’ll just stick with planet earth for a while, but the show was actually been nice to some of the crap we’ve had.

The onyx cinder looks like a hotrodded out empirial troop carrier to me. Like if you took the troop carriers that came down on Mando and Boba Fet when he was trying to get his armor back from Mando but just add a little bit bigger wing and the engines and presto, its the onyx cinder! Buuuut, I could be wrong 🤷🏼
