Agreed, plus for PF calculation basic salary is considered, so higher basic salary is beneficial for more PF
50k deduction is not available in new tax regime

Employee contribution to PF is fixed to 12% but the Employer's contribution can be between 8% - 12%. This at times not known to the employees as well.

Because Employers contribute 8.33% in PF & remaining in EPS(Pension Scheme), but total will be always be 12%
