People accuse me of living in the 80's and not moving with the times, well the 80's have all my best memories and the greatest part of my life, i move with the times, you have to, just my heart still lives for the 80's, and it was and is and always will have the best music ever.

Have you heard another one they did called Let Me Go? I think that one is better than Temptation too.
you know why? this song spoke about regret while Temptation sounded more upbeat though spoke about wanton naughty things= which appeals to younger listeners

Underrated band, in my opinion, especially in the USA where I live. I always thought the lead singer had a great voice. To me this is one of the things that defined the 80's; great singing talents. Its a shame these times are so far behind us now but on the other hand I am grateful that I lived through these times.

i moved to LA in 1982 and introduced my new american friends to groups like heaven17 etc, they were blown away by the new romantic era coming out of the UK.
This song will always remind me of.........Fell in love with a girl called Clare from Bolton who was on holiday in Butlins Bognor Regis...... Happy days....
This brings back memories of a long hot summer from 1983, singing along to this with my friends as it blasted from the car radio! Good times!

When I was 20 I was in a brief relationship with a 50 year old man. He wanted me to move in to his gorgeous farmhouse with him. It was tempting but I knew that it would never work due to the age difference. I was just arm candy and he liked to show me off to his friends. I loved the attention and he seemed to adore me but we were together for the wrong reasons. A few months later I met my first husband who was my age and whilst the marriage didn’t work he will always be my ride or die.
1985 Paris.... the place to be, fond memories.
What a lovely song the age gap didn't matter back in the 80s it seem to be the thing going out with younger guys or girls I think its more acceptable today it doesn't seem to matter

I was about to share this video in response to something on Facebook and I reconsidered it. I love this song but makes you think he is a controlling, older man and may not be appropriate now. Unless he was highlighting that as an issue and was ahead of his time.
If he was 37 and she was 17 she would 45.9% of his age. Somewhat less than 50%.
Age difference is too big. Appropriate or not,It'll never work out. 37-25+ would be OK,though I did get with a girl of 19 for a while when I was 29,we just liked each other a lot and it just happened but I thought that was about on the lower limit for me then.
