You can do this in under 5 minutes!
These operate as your DRLs at half power during the day, and your full high beams when you need toggle them from the interior cabin!

This was hands down the best video I watched on this subject... I watched 5 or 6. Nice job. A couple things I'd like to mention for people who read the comments. Getting those connectors off really takes some pulling and wiggling if they have not been off in years. For the driver's side, I used my left hand to hold the tab down and my right hand to gently push the blue connector away from the bulb with a flat head screwdriver. Putting the bulbs in takes a lot of pressure to push them in far enough to be able to do that slight clockwise turn. Your comment about reversing the connector if they don't come on was a lifesaver. No other videos mentioned that and both my bulbs were connected wrong. If you didn't point that out I would have put the halogens back in and returned the LEDs as defective. Lastly, one thing you didn't mention was that the Daytime Running Lights are also part of the high beam package. At first I thought they weren't working because they didn't come on when I started the car and put it in gear. I almost put the halogens back in again, but then remembered that they don't come on until you take off the parking brake! Again, kudos on a well-done video. The H11 regular bulbs will be my next project, but I feel more confident going into that after doing the high beams. Thanks!
Awesome glad this as helpful! Yeah I've watched an unhealthy amount of videos on the Accord and address a lot of the things other UA-camrs miss.
Exactly, the DRLs don't turn on until you lower the parking brake. Great way to freshen up the look of the car glad you didn't return the bulbs
I got quite a few more Accord videos if you fancy those as well
@@Striker50_ Yes - I wasted time thinking something went wrong - until I figured out the parking brake trick. I worked on it with my daughter and after watching your video, it took no time at all. Thankfully, our connectors were relatively easy to remove and I only lost skin on 2 knuckles. I consider that a win!
@@ruviwije Yup parking brake is the key! Or flashing them works also. Man story of my life I got a bunch of random skin lost from making these videos but it's worth it! I have videos of all the bulbs on my channel for your convenience 🙏
He’s not kidding. On the drivers side getting the cable disconnected from the light first makes a HUGE difference.
Yup! Being in the socket gives an anchor point when disconnecting
Thanks !!! Short sweet and to the point
Glad you found it useful 👌
Great video -- made the task very easy. Thanks!
Glad it helped! I was seeing a lot of videos weren't showing the driver's side
Spot on and very helpful. Listen to this guy.
Way to gas me up 👌🙌

Thanks for the video. Do you have a link to the high-beam bulbs (and low beam) that you purchased? Thanks!
Hey Ravi thanks for the comment
Amazon has a fantastic filter that lets you search for parts and it tells you if it's compatible with your car:
It's been a while since I installed so I can't remember which are high and which are low, but these are the 2 pairs I am running:
High: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TQLGGBR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
low: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XP24CN7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
Always make sure to check your owner's manual so that you know what bulb type is needed for highs and lows
Thanks dude
Glad it helped
Can you tell me what kind of headlight high beam bulb you’re using?
The bulb is 9005/ HB3- The ones I use are no longer listed on Amazon, they're Hikari
@@Striker50_ thank you
@@longdang1343 Anytime 👌
Are those aftermarket wiring harnesses? I noticed your bulb attached to the big silver socket that screws into your headlight was different from mine. Or is that a built in resistor for the light itself?
Correct! These are aftermarket LED bulbs. It's a built in fan/resistor on the LED bulbs. The OEM bulb won't have a tail like these but the process is the same 👌
Do you remember where you found it? I think it might be just what I’m looking for
@@DrewD-cx7fi I looked at my Amazon order and they're Auxito brand I believe but these specific ones are discontinued.
The bulb size is 9005, and Auxito and Lasfit as well as Hikari have all been positive experiences
I am having trouble adjusting the led high beams to be completely vertical. I don't know if you had the same issue or know any way to solve it? thank you
Don't worry about the bulbs being completely vertical, as long as you twist it and you feel it lock it should be fine 👍
The highbeam is in a reflective housing so the light is going to scatter in all directions regardless
@@Striker50_ The issue is that my driver high beam is higher than the passenger. when you reflect them to a wall with the high beams on one of the lights is pointing upward towards the other driver. Also thanks for the fast response your videos have been very helpful
@@ilanwien3563 Here to help, and remember, high beams are only for driving when there are no other cars. Even when aligned correctly, you're going to blind other drivers because high beams are meant to point further down the road.
Wish I could help more but I can't see what's going on
@@Striker50_ Agreed that's what I was thinking but my father is making me align them correctly. I told him exactly the same thing. Are yours completely vertical? Thank you so much for your help
@@ilanwien3563 I'll let you know tomorrow I will look
My driver side high beam bulb isn’t t budging.. am i turning it towards the outside? Or inside?
Lefty loosey. Are they the original bulbs?
@@Striker50_ lol i got it out after i posted the question... thank you , and yes original..
I unplugged it for better leverage this time. ..:)
@@tommy2timez Nice! Make sure to test it before plugging it back in. Sometimes parts are hard to remove when theyve been on over years.
Been there plenty of times where I'm watching the video as I'm trying to fix something LMAO
@@Striker50_ hahah yes, my short stubby fingers didn’t help.. lol
Anyway, thanks again!.

Do u have a video on installing the fog lights?
Sure do! Best video on how to do it too 👍
@@Striker50_ Can u send me a link. Thx.
where did you buy the chrome trim foglight cover
eBay 👍
My led guy told me he doesn’t recommend me putting LEDs in my high beam/DRL’s because they will flicker. I see in this video that they flick or is that just a video and will they flicker throughout the day when my DRL’s are on my DRL and my highbeams share the same light high beams just give a bigger output when turned on.
You're good John, These only flicker in the video. The reason why is because the video camera does not refresh fast enough (ex: 30 fps) which is what MAKES the bulbs look like they're flickering in videos, but in real life they're fine.
When these operate as DRLs in the day, they run at about 30% power. When you switch on your high beams for real, like at night, you get 100% of the brightness. It's the same as how the factory, yellow halogens operate. Does that help clarify?
@@Striker50_ maybe I’m just still confused but again everybody that installs lights around me tells me that you can’t install high voltage LEDs because the DRL system unless I turn it off, it will flicker
@@johnmedina8323 I have never heard that. LEDs consume less energy than conventional bulbs.
@@Striker50_ even 55 w bulbs ?
@@johnmedina8323 I'm using 55 watt 👌
Just to be sure, the bulbs weren't actually flickering, correct?
Correct, it has to do with the refresh rate of the camera recording
I guess it's simple when you have fingers like yours, mine are short and stubby.
@@bobmoe9221 You can do it Bob! 🤣
What’s size bulbs are high and low
I believe they're the h8, h9, h11 bulbs but I can't recall off the top of my head. Your owner's manual will for sure list the exact bulb, and Amazon will also tell you if they fit your car by using the filter and putting in your car info
Awesome I’m changing mine to brighter lites I used to have a Camry xle it was easier
The lowbeams are extremelyyyy easy!
Even the Highbeams are not too hard, took me like 1 minute to do both
This video I made is the best video I have found that says how to change both quickly without removing anything hard
No not to unplug the battery???
For light bulbs never
