I downloaded the tool and immediately thought “oh man, I’m never gonna be able to use this!” But after watching your video I feel a lot more confident. Thank you!

This took a while to follow along with, and some software features have (slightly) changed. However, this is by far the best and most complete tutorial I've seen for getting started with Seamly2D.

Thanks for the video, it's full of useful info. So much better than other videos. You actually know what you're talking about and have used it.

Very good tutorial video. But I don't understand how to end the Spline line drawing.

Hi! Just a question, what should I do, I can't use detail/layout mode. It kept on telling me to create a workpiece(?) First before proceeding and I made a pattern actually but yeah, I can't use detail mode (the seam allowance option I think?) Pls heeelp

Hi! In your column on the left with all of the tools, go to the detail category. Then click "workpiece tool". It looks like a bodice pattern with a green plus sign. You'll use that to click points outlining your entire pattern in a clockwise order and then hit the enter key on your keyboard. That's what sends it to details so you can add your seam allowances and such. Congratulations on making a pattern! Let me know if you need more instruction on getting it into detail mode or how to print. Video 5 in the series specifically explains how to print them out, and I'm happy to answer any questions. :)
