Just now saw your video as I was looking up legless lizards. I even subscribed to your channel. I'm so happy you got your lizard and your frog. They look so awesome!!
The legless lizard is much bigger than I thought it would be! how about Nofoot instead of Littlefoot or Speedy? or even Toothless or Footless.... no wait, Footloose! lol I'm not helping...
I have a male and female sheltopusik (same species as yours). The best way to determine the sex of this species is to catch them in action whilst they defecate; if your legless lizard is male, hemipenes will appear. If not, female.
This is so awesome, congrats :) I live in south africa and we have some of the coolest looking skinks, I've always wanted to own one but there arent any breeders and id never get one from the wild. So for now I just visit them by herping:)
First off congratulations you finally got your legless lizard. I obviously have a different subspecies because mine is nowhere close to that thickness of weight. Can’t wait to see more videos one him/her. I’m very excited for you congratulations.
I love eastern glass lizards! I grew up in Kansas, so I saw them occasionally. They’re (arguably) in the same genus as European legless lizards! (Depends on which taxonomist you ask. 😅)
Wow that’s awesome I hope to spot a few more in the future overall they seem pretty calm and there patterns are absolutely stunning. I thought they were in the same genus but wasn’t fully sure so thank you!! But the Ophisaurus ventralis and Pseudopus apodus are both absolutely amazing and hope to see some Pseudopus apodus in the future.
This is so exciting! So sorry s/he peed on you. She's adorable! Being a glass lizard, she looks like a "Tiffany". I'm very excited to learn about this new little one!
Congratulations she is finally here. She looks so beautiful. Will look forward to her interdiction after she comes out of quarantine. So excited for you. I know you will give her the best home and she will learn to trust you. GOD BLESS 🦎💖🦎💖🦎💖
You could call them Themperor 🤣 I use it instead of king or queen. Or 'Exe', because it sounds like the german word for lizzard (Echse). (Don't no any other european words for lizzard). So happy for you!
Congratulations on your new lizard, Hunter! Looks gorgeous! Maybe you can name it Glassileg (totally made up) to help remember what kind of legless it is. 😉 Your foster froggy also looks cute. 🐸
@@HunterHouck Iv got modified 30 gal husky bins with screen tops, wanting something larger tho to set pairs together for breeding, and instead use the husky bins later as modified egg incubators, due to how easy it is to maintain humidity and temp in them.
@@williamwatson9781 I see! The bin was an under-bed storage bin from Target. I believe it’s Rubbermaid, but can’t confirm as I’m out-of-state at the moment. Hope that helps!
Like I mention in the video, she was a rescue, so I don’t know her full past. I waited for years to adopt one so that I wouldn’t be contributing to the wild-caught industry.
Finally the time you have waited for a long time
I’m beyond excited! 😊
SO EXCITED FOR YOU! WELCOME TO THE CLUB😁
Thank you so much!! 😊🎉
Tube lizards are great

The European species is definitely a large species! 😊

Thank you for sharing that! I’ll have to set up a camera in front of the enclosure!
Congratulations! I remember how in awe you were hanging out with the one at Snake Discovery, so glad you got one of your own!
Thank you!! That was such a fun day!

Thank you! The European legless lizard is native to Europe and the Middle East, so you would have an entirely different species. :)
No problem!! That would make sense mine is a eastern glass lizard, pretty different in there own ways thank you!! Have a fantastic day.

can you link the bin you used to keep em, looking for a very big bin for my eastern glass lizards
This was for quarantine only; I’d recommend something with the ability to provide UVB long-term.

Where did you get this guy? I’ve been looking for years.
I explain it in detail in the video. :)
was it captive breed or caught from the wild? there numbers are sadly getting lower and lower due to the pet trade

@@HunterHouck nice, sorry I must have mist that part
What do legless lizards eat?
A lot of things! I’ll make a whole video in the future.
@@HunterHouck great 👍 glad you have your dream reptile 🐍
