Some people are just conduits for the music. Where it comes from, who knows? But to be able to listen to Schism, without drums ONE TIME then pull this performance out of the aether?

This is the first time I've ever heard Tool. I had to click out of this video and listen to this just tool then come back. I LOVE what Dennis does better than the original recording. WOW. Dennis is amazing and I think this is going to get me to finally get Drumeo.
Dennis Chambers is the drummer for Niacin with Billy Sheehan. Billy talks very highly of him.

tool are one of the most technically cohesive bands out there I get there are others held on a pedastool but none of them have the level of abstract cohesion

to try and mimic the polyrhythms of Tool and Danny Carey, not a bad try for a blind listen... i like what he did, but i did find it too snare heavy... he needed to play around on the toms more

BROTHER-MAN!! Of COURSE you have Tool fans here 😄. To me, the greatest metal band EVER. Just my humble opinion. Ive said it before, to me, Danny Carey is the GOAT. . Although El Estepario is starting to change my opinion.
Biggest problem of this video is that they dont actually show him hearing original drums for the song. So that Dennis can compare how off or not off he was.
