- damianbacci.com In this Brian Setzer inspired Rockabilly guitar lesson. I'll be teaching you how to play some Rockabilly licks over a 12 bar blues progression that will get your fingers moving.
Great job and very timely! The singer in my band, Dibbs and The Detonators, co-wrote 2 songs on Brian’s new record: “Off Your Rocker” and “Rockabilly Banjo”
That's pretty cool. I was just listening to "Rockabilly Banjo" this morning. :)
😎
Loved seeing you guys at The Blue Comet in Philadelphia soooo many years ago
@@natek3352 Do you still live in the Philly area?
@@msorteno, moved a few years ago. Great memories though. Hope you guys are still doing your thing!
This guy has such good DVD's & lessons here on the Tube. This is a great example.
Thank you very much my friend for all the support & kind words. :)
My favorite teacher giving a lesson on my favorite guitarist. Just awesome. My copy of Brian’s new album has been in my CD player all day. Life is grand.
Thank you John. I'm digging the the album as well. Keep on rockin' my friend. :)
I don't get the 2 dislikes here! Maybe some frustrated players that can't manage to get this lesson? Just be glad that someone like Damian is prutting so much time and efforts in these lessons for us guitarists to improve ourselves
Thank you Freddy. Much appreciated my friend. :)
@@Damianblf no problem Damian
They gave likes to a fire at an orphanage
And as usual they are free.
@@joemizz11 The dislikes? Yeah, they are free, too.
Seriously, I really have only given a handful of likes across hundreds of thousands of UA-cam videos over the years.
Thanks. Showing the chord really helps. Fran
Enjoy the lesson & thank you for watching. :)
Nailed It. Thanks as Always Damian, you are the Best my friend. Love the Hot Rod Gang reference 😎
Thank you. Hope you're having a rockin' weekend. :)
All your lessons are great, but your lessons with Brian Setzer licks are espetacular.

Much Love Damian ! ✨️ 🙏🦊
Thank You for the Lessons.
Oh man, what an awesome lesson. I always am so happy when I see that you have posted another one but it's particularly great as we enter our second weekend in level 4 lockdown here in New Zealand - and it's a wet one! What better way to spend the day than learning another Damian Bacci lesson.
Thank you Jeff. Enjoy the lesson my friend :)

NEW YORK CITY HARDCORE - The Way It Is, Yeaaah!! :) Greetings from Hungary!
That was a life changing album for me when it was released. So many great bands & songs. :)
Enjoy your insightful lessons and enthusiasm. Keep up the great work. 😀
Thank you very much Tim :)
Always enlightening, thanks Damian!
Thanks for watching Ian :)
I love Brian Setzer and your channel. I bought the first Stray Cats album at "Wax Trax" in 1979 before it was released in the States. I also have 45's of them doing "Drink that bottle down" "She's something else" and others.
Thanks for leaving a comment John. Much appreciated. :)
GO CAT GO DAMIAN!!
Thanks for watching :)
I enjoyed seeing this yesterday! What a great celebration of Brian‘s new release! I look forward to working on this very soon, but I have something else I’m engrossed in learning this weekend. Thanks Damian!
Thank you my friend. Enjoy the lesson :)
Hi Damian, thanks for putting always so much effort in your (Brian Setzer) Rockabilly licks. Your lessons are always very comprehensive. I love rockabilly and Straycats, and I am always happy to learn some new stuff. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be playing all these wonderfull licks. I always tie all your lessons together, so I have a variety pallet of solo's , when playing rockabilly in A. Please keep up the good work. You're one of my favourite teachers to go to ( Yes I have more, since I also want to learn more stuff and different styles) ;)
I love these licks!🎸🔥🤠🎸
Glad you dug the lesson. Thanks for watching. :)
I love it! Rock on amigo!!
Thank you very much :)
Great solo Damian. The chord changes on the screen was a nice touch. For me its important to know where you are outlining the chord tones in your licks.👍Thank you kindly and spiffing work old chap. Cool shirt by the way. Mongoose bikes were big here in the 80s. Guy. 👍
Thank you Guy. :)
My very first real BMX bike was a Mongosse Expert. I recieved it on my 12th brithday after begging my parents for months for one lol.
@@Damianblf had a mongoose back in the early '80s! I hope all I remember talking about in those days was alloy this and alloy that and a new grips and pads lol!!
Loving it thanks Damian
Thank you Dan :)
great lesson
Thank you Paul :)
Thanks Damian!! Another great lesson!!
Thank you very much Chris. Hope you're having a rockin' weekend. :)

@@Damianblf Thank you, Damian. Have a great weekend, mate!! :)
On the release date of his new album awesome videos! Hooked!!
Thanks Ken :)
Another great lesson Damian. I have both of your DVD”s. If you ever do one that outlines some of the chord structures and comping, I’d get it in a heartbeat. Always appreciate your philosophical advice✌️
Thank you Timothy for the kind words & support. Means a lot to me. :)
Wow man! Your a guitar genius in my book
Thank you Jeffery for the kind words. Keep on rockin' my friend. :)
Awesome licks here, Damian! I like the t shirt too! Very nostalgic for an old 80's BMX'er!
Thank you very much. I got my first Mongoose in 1985 for my birthday!
@@Damianblf My best friend had a Mongoose. I had a Redline, but it was stolen, and then I had a Haro. This was also around '85. I still have my old Haro. So cool man!
Great lesson! Factory Team Mongoose shirt is awesome too!!
Thank you very much :)
Great job, definitely going to order ur course!
Thank you Arthur :)
Cheers boss, 😎🎙🎸✅
Thanks for watching Julian. Have a rockin' weekend my friend. :)
@@Damianblf you also boss.
👍👍👍
Thank you for watching :)
Great Lesson Damian. I wonder if I might ask you what pick and thickness you use to get those beautiful tones?
I have my own signature guitar pick that I've been using for the past 8 years or so. It's a medium white celluloid (71mm) pick. A friend of mine was Joe Perry's guitar tech and he gave me a bunch of Aerosmith picks. They were awesome, so I made my picks just like those.
Anyone who purchases any of my DVD courses gets one of my picks with it. :)
@@Damianblf wow thanks Damian. That's pretty cool. Grew up with Aerosmith. It's refreshing to see someone using a medium celluloid pick. I've always thought the medium picks sound the best. Kinda draw the sound out. If I remember correctly there was an old formula ; medium strings, medium action and medium pick.
I dig the Mongoose BMX shirt
Thank you :)
cool shirt!
Except for a little "pick grit" you sound exactly like Brian Setzer on those licks. Good stuff.
Thanks Terry :)
Great playing Damian! Tampa, Florida? Howdy neighbor! Keep on rocking. BTW I just got my first Gretsch guitars. They're friggin' great aren't they?
Thank you & congrats on your first Gretsch. Enjoy :)
@@Damianblf Oh I am! I have two now. Funny, I have two Ormsbys and two Zematis' and I gravitate to the Jet and the 5120 more than the others. keep rocking.
Been playing strat cat strut for years but always just play a pentatonic fill for lead bits. Maybe I can use some of the very chromatic type runs in Cm.
Sure Damian won't mind but here is a good lesson on the solo...ua-cam.com/video/gLpMA2MAxSA/v-deo.html of course using Damian's ideas you do get to build up your own style but that particular solo is so icon it's worth learning note for note I reckon.
Hope you are well, what key is this in, thanks
Hi Randall. It's in the key of A
sick mongoose shirt!
Hi Damian. Are You Italian?
