- In this video, I cover how o fix errors that occur with external actors, when they are not properly removed from the map. NOTE: (This usually happens if actors are deleted and are still part of a group actor. Tried several methods and this seemed to be the best , so far! I hope this helps and be sure to like and subscribe to support the channel.
There's a much faster way to fix this. In your map, in the Outliner, search for "Group" then select all of your grouped actors and ungroup them with Shift + G. Save the map and reload. Problem solved.
Killer solution, haha. Thanks!!!
@@lordkiller977 wow, thanks, that worked easily. I appreciate the OP vid, but there's a million things and sometimes you find a more efficient way. now there's another error aarrgh, same old
Hi, do you know how to resolve World references spatially loaded actor problem ?
Gotta be some sort of script to fix this... you had to do all those manually ! yikes!
I dont have any errors but I sure dont liek those folders it made for external stuff. Any ways I can sort it out?
Hah, just realised that its something to do with how unreal manages the referencing of objects and actors into the level maps. Okay no biggy.
@@Polytricity Yeah ,This can be avoided but sometimes will happen randomly when deleting from the level...I just created an extreme example...lol
@@blaqueaddonnisgames always good to share problem solving for sure =) thanks!
Thanks help
Yep, a batch script should work fine.
lol step 1: clone your 200+ GB project yeah ok
I have 6 drives the largest being 10tb and nothing smaller than 2tb and I have at least 2 backups of my work at all times on separate drives. All your work should always be backed up if it is important to you . So yeah Step 1 : CLONE YOUR PROJECT....lol
@@blaqueaddonnisgames as somone who lost their project in the early stages due to corruption, i agree 100%. which is why i now have dozens of backups on different drives
