I just adore your videos! Everyone needs to know about this channel you are so fun, I've gotten so many of my friends onto your videos and they are hooked! x
I've never really thought of cleaning those places before. I'm kinda scared to clean the spot under the fridge since I'm not sure what I'll discover down there haha. But I guess we'll have to face our fears sooner or later! I'm gonna start with vacuuming the couch first thing in the morning! Thank you so much for this video! By the way Melissa, your body looks really fit! I'm really jelly haha xD
RafiRaffee Oh come on, you can do it!!! Wow - thanks so much! I've been working out with a trainer and I've been feeling great, so thank you for that lovely comment :D xo
Melissa, love your videos!! Here is a tip for you, from an IT pro. Compressed air just sends the dust and debris in to the air to land elsewhere. I always turn the keyboard upside down above a flat surface, like the desk. Give it a few taps. Turn it back and give it a vacuum. If you are at work you can use the sticky end of a post it note to clean between the keys. Also, a cheap stiff bristle paint brush (longer bristles than a toothbrush) is great to keep near by. Works great for cleaning between the keys. Big tip: lock the computer or turn it off to prevent the computer from responding to the keys while you are cleaning it. Looking forward to more great cleaning videos.
rhoni0830 I find keyboards some of the most disgusting things anywhere, so I try to clean them and even disinfect them when I can. I wasn't thrilled with the method of cleaning keyboards here either-sometimes I fully dismantle mine (if I can). I would actually clean the keyboard in another more cleanable room or on the floor where I could then vacuum up the nastier bits that fall out.
Thank you very much...I have gone through almost all of your cleaning videos. Most of your cleaning products are not available where I live yet I have adapted and substituted and cleaning is much more efficient and quick.
Melissa, I had to come here and leave a comment. yesterday I decided to clean the metal net of the exhaust vent. I don't think it has been cleaned for the last 7 years. I used the oxi clean method and the water was hot but not boiling. Left overnight and today it was like brand freakin' spanking new!!! I cannot believe it!!! Even a plastic piece that covers the lamp got grease free!!! OMG!!! I am going to post your video on Facebook for all my friends that live in the U.S. To learn this. Not sure the exhausts look the same back home in Europe!!! Unfreakin' believable!!!
I put a small scoop of soda crystals in every white wash - keeps them white and helps keep the machine clean. My washing machine is 20 years old and still working efficiently.
***** Yes, me too! I only have a couple (like, two), and I've been waiting for hers to come out to invest in some. Can't wait, because I really need them!!
I've noticed many people forget the area on cookstoves, under the top where the pans sit and under the burners and drip pans some models have a hinged plate that you can access by removing the hardware and the prop stick is generally on the right side. This is a basic catch all for all that overflows plus thick layers of grease. This needs cleaned often to avoid fires. most people don't even know it's there, you may have to hunt but it's worth it esp if you're battling insects. Tfs
Gotta get some help moving my frig so I can clean underneath. My frig was in need of a thorough cleaning this week and I had been putting it off - so... I replayed your vid on the subject and I am so glad I did. Thanks to your cheery attitude and thorough instructions I now have a sparkling clean frig. I'm sure I would have cheated by not pulling out shelves or something else if not for you!
Great video Melissa!! I'm actually cleaning all that surfaces constantly, but my back of the fridge is always a disaster with a tons of Legos, pop corn, puzzle pieces, the list goes on... Also THANK YOU for your folding tips video!!! I did couple of my drawers and it looks so perfect!!! I came to just stare on it about bazillion times already.. ;)
I love your videos, you let the world know important tips and help us do our cleaning better. Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one that actually clean this spaces you mentioned, some people call me a cleaning freak lol. Thanks !!

Hello Melissa! Love your videos. Thank you for them! I do have a tower fan and I honestly do not know how to clean it! Hope you can share with us your superb cleaning tips soon! Much love, Pete
so glad my mom is a clean freak, most of these things we were taught to do every time we clean. we have almost always had cats, dogs or both so we were taught, every time you vacuum you pull the cushions off the furniture, you vacuum the area you mentioned, also the cusions themselves, the back of the couch, the sides, tip it up and get underneath also. every couple months we pull out the fridge AND stove, and clean all that nasty, run the washer through a cycle with vinegar, clean any dispensing trays weekly, move dressers and other furniture regularly to clean, vacuum the walls and ceiling dust webs, fans, light fixtures, honestly now that I think about everything we do I cannot figure why our house always seems messy. guess its better to look messy, than to actually be unclean.
Thanks Melissa, luv the vids. Forgotten chore here this morning: mold inside the glass hummingbird feeder... yuck! Tried cleaning toothbrush with vinegar.. no luck. Got most of it with an overnite soak of liq dish deterg, baking soda, & a LOT of swishing and shaking. Got almost all of it that way.. now in the top of the DW as I type... hope that one works! Got a momma hummingbird outside with babies. Thanks for the vids and keep them coming :)
I always forget to clean under the fridge, so when I was back there I cleaned the grills and the sides. I was in ASDA just last week looking at microfiber cloth but didn't like what I was seeing, I only hope I will get them delivered to Scotland when your ones go on sale.....
I have a top load washer, so I do a soak cycle with Simple Green, extra rinse, and then a good wipe down inside and around the top of the rim (also works great for the dishwasher). I also only clean my microfiber clothes in the wash with Simple Green or vinegar in place of detergent.
I'm new to Clean My Space but i'm loving it!! Was looking through all your videos and I don't see one for the salution you use for kitchen tile floors. If I missed it can you send me a link? Thank you SOOOO much
Robin Marcum Awesome - welcome - we are so glad to have you!!! Hmmm, I think we've covered that topic in several videos. I would suggest just a drop of dish soap and hot water :)
Hi Melissa - I have notices that the bowls of my spoons are dull. What is a good way to get them sparkling again? Would you please to a segment on silverware/flatware? Thanks for all the great tips.
My folks taught me this trick ... The use of Plexiglas will make moving your appliances easier & it's safer for your flooring! A couple sheets of 3/8" Plexiglas (bullet proof Acrylic) or whatever thickness is strong enough to not break, crack or become damaged by transferring your appliances. One piece, cut to size, stays under the appliance in its home position. Now it's time...the dreaded time to move the appliance out so you can clean...what do you do? Unplug appliance and prepare area for moving. Put 2nd piece of Plexiglas directly in front of the appliance to be moved. Be sure the edges are butted up snugly and securely. The outer piece will want to shift with the appliance transfer. Depending on how much room you need and how far it needs to go, you may want to have an additional sheet of Plexiglas on hand.
It is that time of year. Would love a video about how to clean bird feeders, including metal ones and a hummingbird feeder that won't fit a bottle bush.
I clean these five places every month as part of my monthly cleaning chores. My desk area needs to be put on the daily chore list; it's always loaded with papers and mail and misc. items and that's sad because it's not a very big area in the first place. Thanks for another great video!
LISA BEISHLINE You are awesome - but I wouldn't expect any less from you :). Papers are hard to deal with, I totally agree...when I figure it out I'll let you know!
I never stop learning from your channel! Thank you, and how funny that I felt a little bit too pleased with myself knowing I clean behind our fridge every week. ;)
Ah guys that's fantastic the cloths are on the way now I know my house will not be complete without some congrats on another brilliant business venture!
H Melissa! Can you show us How to clean the dust bin of the Dyson handheld vacuum and the different tools that come with it? I use a toothbrush to clean the bin but it just doesn't do the job nicely... Also, can you advise How we could clean the patio floor (concrete apartment ) and remove the birds droppings? It's really bothering me now :( Thank a bunch!
Ann Bellinger Yes - I have searched high and low for the best ones, that's why I've been having a bit of a delay with them....frustrating to say the least. Can't wait to get them out!
hi ms. melissa i want to thank you from bottom of my heart for inspiring me to clean so easily n efficiently. I would appreciate your comments on aquarium cleaning as well. Thanks in advance :)
I have to steal newspapers from my mother if I want to start a fire in the fireplace or paint something. I read everything online. I've been binge watching your videos. It's been great for motivating me to get to all the stuff I always put off because I don't know how to clean it. So thanks! =)
I've been asking for two years to show a demo for cleaning a glass shower. There are so many conflicting ways on the internet, and your methods have always worked for me. Let me know if I've missed an episode on this subject, thanks for sharing :)
Susan J. I went through a period where I watched a lot of auto detailing videos, and to clean windows, one thing I found was to use 0000 gauge (four zeros) steel pads, the strands of which are thin enough and won't scratch glass, and the product Invisible Glass, which unlike Windex, etc, doesn't leave behind a coating. Haven't watched/found Melissa's glass cleaning vids yet, but I started using the 0000 steel/Invisible Glass on every shower part I can find, tile, grout, glass, and it's very good. When sunlight comes in through morning/evening windows, I can see the glass is slick and perfectly clean. Don't ever use the steel on metal taps or knobs or anything though, a soft sponge does the trick.
Susan J. We have that on our to-do list. We don't have a glass shower door so it is a little harder to coordinate. But it is something we do want to touch on as we know it's an issue!
The best way to clean your glass showers is to use your shower cleaner on it first. I also struggled with cleaning mine but it was because I went straight to cleaning it with "glass cleaner" and didnt think of the scum and dirt. So now i use my shower cleaner first, which will clean that dirt right off. Rinse and then use my glass cleaner and my shower doors stay clean and look amazing. Hope that helps!
I recently noticed a foul odor in my bathroom near the toilet. No, it was not the toilet. I clean it everyday because I have become so self consious about the smell! It was almost a sewer gas smell or a sulfur smell. The toilet was not leaking. There was a tiny bit of info on UA-cam about an odor that can come from the tank itself especially if you have a well or are on a septic system. We are not but I decided to scrub the tank as if we were. It was pretty gunky. After draining it and scrubbing the inside walls and mechanisms down with straight bleach I let the tank fill back up and poured a whole bottle of vinegar in it. I let the vinegar sit for about 4 hrs. That was yesterday. I haven't noticed the odor yet today - hopefully it's gone. Do you have any thoughts on this? Have you ever addressed this?
You have your very own microfiber cloths! Wow! I'm so proud! I usually comment using my personal account Diana Patterson so hopefully that rings a bell. Anyway, I'm excited to see and try out your microfiber cloths. Great video! I recently spilled OJ so under the fridge is already checked off. Yay! BUT If I had to pick a spot I would say my glass sliding door could use some attention.
Hey! Love your videos :-) Quick question: What do you do if you live with a few people who absolutely will not clean up, have no desire to clean and WILL not let you clean as their stuff is scattered around the apartment and they do not want you, "Touching or moving their things" back into their rooms because they "live there?" The apartment is an absolute mess! I am the only person in the current house who cleans and HATES dirt and clutter. There is no negotiation as I have calmly speaking to them before. What can be done besides moving out? Thanks.
I've been away from UA-cam for a bit, did you guys do a laundry room tour since you've renovated it? I've been looking forward to seeing the finished product!
How long has it been since you vacuumed or wiped down your shoe holders? Do you wipe down your shoes after you wear them? Do you used sneaker balls in them?
That handheld vacuum looks bad ass compared to the ones that I've seen XD. Can you put a link to it in the description please? 0:) Yay for Maker microfiber cloths! Can't wait!
Can you please do the video how to clean small hoover attachments? I have a pretty good hoover myself that helps removing pet hair but the attachment is always full of pet's hair, I try to remove with my hand or with a small brush but not always works. Please advise.
Show us your, is that a utility sink in your laundry room? Also, was that a Dyson fan? I want to know what is so good about a $400 fan. Can you review?
Thanks to you Melissa I've been a lot better at cleaning. And thanks especially to this video, I sound another dumb thing my ex did in the house.... He installed a microwave over the oven, that is supposed to have a vent for over the range. I went to go check it out to see if I needed to clean it, and he never added the vent filter....! So instead of having to clean the metal filter, all the gunk is getting into the microwave. Anyway I found it in a drawer so thanks LOL
Was there a vid on the dryer filters ? Those that use those handy dandy dryer sheets, that gunk up the filter,. So it takes longer to dry your clothes. Take out the filter and gently wash it with Dish soap detergent, let dry and replace. Your dryer will last longer.
***** Our family owns a Dyson upright and I'm convinced it's the best vacuum our family's had. If you get the chance to review that handheld Dyson, I'd love to hear your take on it. It looks awesome, so it's hard for me to not just *buy* it :P but would love honest feedback on it after you've used it for a while. (Or if you write a blog entry on it, let us know.)
Hi. I am a new fan. I have wooden doors at my house that are not painted over. Since where I live we wash floors with water so I have two questions: (1) how to keep my wooden doors intact (2) how to protect my refrigerator from water if I cannot use a multipurpose base. Thank you so much.
Our cat Lola brought in a rat & it lived behind/inside the back of our fridge where it was a warm & safe for days, I left the door open each day & eventually it ran out x
I am having some trouble finding where I can get the Maker Microfiber clothes and any other products you may be producing now. Can you please help this fan of yours with a link? :) thanks for all the videos, I'm disabled so your hacks and short cuts REALLY help me since numerous tasks can be very difficult for me to complete on my own especially considering I have a house to clean and not just a single room. :)
+Jennifer Roberts I have been able to get microfiber clothes from most stores. Wal Mart, Target, Dollar Store, etc. Look on the cleaning isle near mops and sponges.
When I moved desks at work once my new keyboard was so nasty from the person who used it prior to me,I had to bang it on the ground after air can spray to remove gunk. I used hand sanitizer every hour. And needed an oil diffuser at my desk.
one more thing i have used the front loader cleaner to keep it clean right but one day i got the whites out and BOOM my washer had rust OMG I was panicking can you by any chance help me with this one....or do I need to buy another one?
Thank you for teaching me to clean and for being so upbeat while doing so. I struggle with depression & you help me have a better day. Hugs
I didn't realize you were Canadian. But now it kinda makes sense because you seem like the sweetest, nicest person someone could ever meet. I betcha even most Canadians consider you extra friendly!
i just bought a dyson animal today! a DC65 and I bought it because of your chanel and I loooove it. also my hubby is buying me essential oils! Thank you so much. your chanel has improved my depression I struggle with. 😀
We moved to Waterloo and in our rented apartment I and my husband decided to clean the backsplash and the area behind the cook top. When we moved our cook top the floor underneath was so gross. There was food splash marks on the side of the cooktop and I used Melissa’s (baking soda + dish liquid mix) tip and everything got super clean. The dwell time is indeed super important when dealing with tough stains. Thank u Melissa. U r a saviour.

I put a small scoop of soda crystals in every white wash - keeps them white and helps keep the machine clean. My washing machine is 20 years old and still working efficiently.
Ahhhhhh! If you'd told me ten years ago how happy microfiber cloths were going to make me, I'd have thought you were crazy. 😂. So excite!
This needs cleaned often to avoid fires. most people don't even know it's there, you may have to hunt but it's worth it esp if you're battling insects. Tfs

Thanks for those handy cleaning tips! May I know which model is that wireless Logitech keyboard?
You have your very own microfiber cloths! Wow! I'm so proud! I usually comment using my personal account Diana Patterson so hopefully that rings a bell. Anyway, I'm excited to see and try out your microfiber cloths. Great video! I recently spilled OJ so under the fridge is already checked off. Yay! BUT If I had to pick a spot I would say my glass sliding door could use some attention.
Quick question! Do you have any tips on how to get hair color stains out of a bathtub or a countertop? Thank you!
hey what kind of camera do you use? are you using a mic? im a big fan and i think you already did a video on it i just dont remember what its called
Hey! Love your videos :-)
Quick question: What do you do if you live with a few people who absolutely will not clean up, have no desire to clean and WILL not let you clean as their stuff is scattered around the apartment and they do not want you, "Touching or moving their things" back into their rooms because they "live there?" The apartment is an absolute mess!
***** Not quite yet...but soon!
Can't wait!
***** Sure thing - I'll add that to the description box ASAP!
***** I australia it's called a DC59 Animal I think.
I need that vacuum ASAP!!
Great tips xx Mairead from Ireland

Athenalovexoxo Me too!! Can't wait for you guys to have them!
I love your shirt mellisa
Your dryer will last longer.
serpentarius51 It's in our video about cleaning washing machines (check the description)! Great point!
***** Hi Melissa, what was the thing you put into the machine? I don't have my own washer. I have to go to the laundermat
Great video!
Joann Porter Thanks!
Love it
Isaac Rabony Thank you!
This might sound silly, but, does dyson sponsor you? They are pretty expensive :( really wanna get one :(
Do a LAUNDRY ROOM TOUR :) Do you like your washer and dryer ? I have the same ones as you but white
Can you do a vid on the dyson
Great video

The only video on YT to have Dyson and Kitties!
adarkerlight I know - perfect combo!

Can u do a vid about cleaning fleece blankets?? Weird request I knw...but they always come out looking g bad after a few washes. Plz help 😉
Hi. I am a new fan. I have wooden doors at my house that are not painted over. Since where I live we wash floors with water so I have two questions: (1) how to keep my wooden doors intact (2) how to protect my refrigerator from water if I cannot use a multipurpose base. Thank you so much.
My question is how to clean popcorn ceiling..thanks
Love your videos. What kind of cat do you have? It is beautiful. (The one in this video).
What was the blue circle thing at the end of the video? Also will your guy's cloths be available in the states?
I think it's a bladeless fan :)
npigwnl
I was thinking that too but never actually saw one.
***** Yep. It's a Dyson. She seems to be a fan of the company. $$$
How do you clean between your stove and counter? That thin little slot that always catches ickiness
+Rochelle Crews dental floss or wooden skewers work for me!
If anyone is looking to buy the small handheld vacuum it is called the Dyson v6 absolute.
Zunar Zulfiqar Yes!! I just put a link in the description box so people can see!
Thank you for doing that, now people who are looking to buy the Dyson could find it easily.

Can you please do a video showing all your cleaning tools. Please

Can I clean my laptop the same way??? Great vid Melissa. (esp the washing machine and fridge)
Awesome!
Our cat Lola brought in a rat & it lived behind/inside the back of our fridge where it was a warm & safe for days, I left the door open each day & eventually it ran out x
What can I use to remove an already set in stain on my beige carpet? I heard vinegar and dawn dish liquid. Thanks Carmen
Carmen Carrillo You can try hydrogen peroxide and dish soap, too!
OK. Thank you
The back of your fridge is cleaner than my bedroom floor
+dredoc yea mine too I always get at least a dusr pan full.
That's pretty gross
I am having some trouble finding where I can get the Maker Microfiber clothes and any other products you may be producing now. Can you please help this fan of yours with a link? :) thanks for all the videos, I'm disabled so your hacks and short cuts REALLY help me since numerous tasks can be very difficult for me to complete on my own especially considering I have a house to clean and not just a single room. :)
+Jennifer Roberts I have been able to get microfiber clothes from most stores. Wal Mart, Target, Dollar Store, etc. Look on the cleaning isle near mops and sponges.
Yes I have numerous Microfiber clothes. I was referring to Melissa Makers brand that she spoke of in a video. :) thank you
oh okay. Well I sure the ones you have are just as good. Have fun cleaning. :)
When I moved desks at work once my new keyboard was so nasty from the person who used it prior to me,I had to bang it on the ground after air can spray to remove gunk. I used hand sanitizer every hour. And needed an oil diffuser at my desk.
A pastry brush is great for cleaning the keyboard
one more thing i have used the front loader cleaner to keep it clean right but one day i got the whites out and BOOM my washer had rust OMG I was panicking can you by any chance help me with this one....or do I need to buy another one?
