Making of uncle Rikuro cheesecake in Osaka, Japan. The world famous jiggly cheesecake served is fresh out of the oven and will run you about ¥675 = ~$6 for a whole cheesecake. The cake can be enjoyed hot or cold. Yea Japan has the best street food I've ever tried by a large margin
Am i the only one that feels like drinking that delicious batter. Will try this cheesecake when i go japan if i have the chance.
Wouldn't mind scraping the big bowl myself
Celeste Aw well I would like to be his dish washer
Yes
Finally someone that scrapes the bowl and uses everything..
lol i came from that one popsugar video about making a cheesecake. cringeworthy!
OMG that looks so delicious! And I love how the staffs greet the visitors even when they're busy working ❤
Japan is awesome
yummy
Powaup
Felicia Lamongi that's actually creepy...
Bagas Yono how is it creepy?
i like how they greet their customers every few minutes xD
That's how polite japanese people are
Stacey Lee Haha yes. I think they don't get tired.
paulitaxd1000 im japanese lol !
we learn manners at very young age and learn to work very hard
indeed, makes you think about the time of zombies "braain, braaain" every few minutes, how cute!
Japanese staff are always friendly
so satisfying to watch!
i love the back ground guys voice
$6.00?! Cheaper than what I pay for a slice here!
I know!! I was like no wayyy
i bought for around twice the price, and it's not even as fluffy as this. japan is heaven.
sokunthea ly
same here
They cost like $4 CAD where I live... LOL
other side, i love how they're welcoming the costumers, so friendly ,always smile & no bitter face .
you know you are pro when you dont sink the batter even though you whisk it aggressively.
dan lolwatermelon I was thinking the same thing! How! What sorcery is it that they use. I must learn!!!
Bruuuuuuh
He was mixing it really hard at the start for one reason! That would be because the dense part of the batter goes to the bottom and the foam stays at the top. If he didn't mix, the cakes would not be evenly fluffy.
How do I know? I make these cakes alot at home.
It's reaaaaly easy, I'm not even a pro. I just analyze the shit out of cooking techniques
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.
Had the whole cake over a week while on vacation - it was the most amazing thing. Absolutely delicious! A MUST try while in Osaka.
NeoBlade1000 I ate the whole cake by myself in less than 12 hours. #fattiestatus
NeoBlade1000 I heard it tastes like eggs since it requires so many eggs. then again it was the americanized version.
the way those cakes wiggle and bounce 😍 if this is not love idk what it
is*
omgggggg your profile picture lmaooo
The way he pour it in to the pans 😤🌊🌊👅👅

These cheescakes are too smooth and pretty to eat. They look so puffy I want to hug one. 😅

they're so clean and polite wish i can go there
Wow loved it
looks so tasty
That looks amazing! Reminds me of the one we have here in Toronto called Uncle tetsu. It originated from Japan as well. 😇 was a huge hit here! It's just regular foamy cheesecake, not jiggly like these ones. Even the symbol is quite similar! Haha
SO SATISFYING!!!!
Amazing!!!
Looks so delicious.
Tasted Delic as well :)
i've made this cake once..it does not wiggle much..but still taste just nice

japanese are just... awesome
theyre very fast like chyung chyung chyung done
fuwa fuwa~ i wanna eat it!!
I wish I could eat it every day XD
What I'm getting from these food videos is that Japanese people don't mind waiting for their food to get done as most of it is made to order. Years of working at the food court in America has made me weary of having clients stand around too long as they start to get impatient and screaming for the manager
***** We have a timer on top of every order that starts as soon as we put it into the system, if it goes over three minutes our manager starts shouting at us to get it out even when most of the time we're just following all the procedures to make sure everything is actually cooked and looks good. Around that time costumers start giving us dirty looks and pressuring us. It's like they want perfect food at the snap of a finger.
no t cool That's so true, people are too disrespectful towards the staff, and managers abuse their power way too much. I've hated all my food chain partime jobs because of that, I've had someone throw the money to my face once, I got yelled at by the client AND the manager. I'd prefer to wait "more than what's supposed" to eat something that I'll enjoy, rather than crappy food AND the staff work their ass off with stress writed in their face, I get sad looking at someone working in that state, is a lot of pressure and people acting like that puts more stress to it...but humans are too selfish.
Sooo yummyyyy 😋
น่ากินมากๆๆๆอบใหม่ๆคงหอมน่าดู
Id kill to try this cheesecake
Flying off to Japan is a lot more forgiving ;)
Powaup couldn’t agree more
Hi thanks for sharing the video one question what is that balls in the pan before he put the mix??
Good Question! those are raisins
oh pero que delicioso
yo quieroooooo!!!!
I want one
que rico, donde consigo uno
I only search like korean street food and I find this video where I understand language、素晴らしww
Glad you ejoyed the video! have a nice day :)
maishtaaaaa konichiwaaaaa aaaah aaaaaa
Doppelgänger こんにしはor こんばんわ (konnichiha or konbanwa)
when u say maishta it's like polite thing to say when you end something like thank you, ありがとございました (arigatogozaiMASHITA)
I'd buy two, one to eat and the other to put my face on and use as a pillow xD
oh God....#Yummy
Question, is there a label in which tells you what kind of ingredients it has?
Just curious, because I made the recipe from the CookingWithDog Channel (which by the way is super scrumpcious, in Europe cheesecakes are served cold anyway) but saw other recipes on youtube. So i was wondering...
Yes, the ingredients are on the box, but unfortunately, I don't have the box and didn't take any pictures of it. Sorry
It reminds me of cooking mama
I'm soooooooo hungryyyyyy
delicious so
xD
algo decente y antojable..
para todo lo que se come allá :-D
this is so elegant!!! I must go to Japan to visit and explore but first to learn their language its be rude to expect them to speak our language and us not even try. idk why Americans feel so entitled now a days. I was in France 2weeks and spoke French enough to get me by and they were happy knowing that I spoke 3 languages.
Tools like Google translator are awesome, you can take a picture of a word and the app will translate it for you
I like that mentality. Not enough people do that nowadays
Emergency pillow 😍😘
tasty pillow :)
Genial🤗🤗
Ringing that bell is like a shaman calling a spirit
Did they have an outlet in shibuya?
No I believe the only location is in Osaka
These were sooo good. We finished 3 cakes in 2 days....lol
Nice! did you like them better Hot or Cold?
Es un gusto difícil para los que estamos tan pero tan lejos, me encantaría saber que es lo que dicen cada que suena la campanita y sonrien he visto esto en todos los videos de la Panaderia Uncle Rikuro jejejeje
i made this the other day, so good. I have a giant double oven so i decided that I was gunna premake a bunch of these for friends and family. My mom woke up and came downstairs to me production baking at 4 am. I made 36. 12 at a time. I have too many cake pans now though. I can totally sell them but I'm not sure if its legal to or something.
OMG that is awesome! can't believe you made 36 lol!
it only cost me about 36 dollars for ingredients.
***** that's $3 a cake, not bad at all
What was the baking temperature and baking time please?
i have to eat it!!!😄
Yes you do, one of the highlights of Osaka
rahasia kue enak tuh pake tangan bukan pake mixer
I'd love to try it. 😍❤️ who can make it for me in Newcastle- England?
noticed how he's not worried about deflating the mixture, recipes normally ask to fold. maybe that's why the top has no crack?
Wai Ling Lee maybe that is the secret recipe? I tried to make it but never come out that fluffy and giggly even though I carefully used "folding" technique 😅
You could be onto something!
Uyen Nguyen Andrade for me fluffy yes but jiggly no, i reckon that more liquid makes it jiggly. still experimenting!
Powaup think he's getting rid of the big air bubbles so that mixture is stable.
Can I get the recipe for this cake? : }
i call dibs on the bowl
Look at them jiggle...
Questa cheesecake giapponese la devo fare assolutamente....
woww :-)
the cheesecake looks delicious and the price is ridiculously cheap for a whole cheesecake. I'm my country they would sell it for 13 dollars and no one would buy it..
ما هي مكونات هذا الخليط
Considering how fluffy it is I'm surprised at how much he whisked it before pouring it into the pans: everything tells me that if you whisk it that much rather than folding it gently, the egg whites would deflate the cake, rather than make it even fluffier and even more jiggly.
1 explanation: Magic
Adonannya cair banget tapi bisa tinggi setelah di panggang? Apa ini pake pengembang?
Have u ever tried napoli Street food? You should come and check it out 👊
I have not but would love to. Italy is the next country I want to visit
Anyone know where I can find this pan?
Uncle Tetsu is a brand that makes these cakes in the US, maybe they could point you in the right direction
tks for sharing...i got the trick..kkkk
You're welcome! glad you enjoyed it! xD
Can you make the wiggling part a bit longer? With cuttinf and putting into mouth and eating and rolling your eyes
so detailed
I have one question thoo do they keep wiggling the next day cause I wanna make some for work but am not sure if it will keep wiggling
No you have to refrigerate them after a few hours so they stiffen up, but my girlfriend actually thought the cake tasted better cold
+Powaup Your girlfriend is right it tasted better when cold.
21whichiswhich haha will let her know!
I liked it hot and fresh out of the oven. It was like a souffle
😍
What did he put on the bottom? Berries? Raisins?
Raisins
i even thought that was oreos
maybe tapioca beens?
Yes, raisins.
wtf is a tapioca been?
mi sueño 😍
xD
Hi, Does they have a branch in Tokyo?
No only in Osaka I believe, but I could be wrong
+Powaup thanks :)
can somebody take me to Japan :(
Can you please describe what it tastes like.?
For me its taste like regular cheesecake, but the texture is like s tiramisu maybe softer then tiramisu....
yea very soft texture not a really strong flavor but I say that in a good way because you can eat a lot of it without feeling overwhelmed if you have ever had European cheesecake it's more similar to that when warm. When it is cold it is more condensed and tastes more like US cheesecake.
