Your video was so timely! I had pulled a brisket out of my freezer the day before and it was sitting there waiting in my refrigerator while I was contemplating what to do with it. I went to the butcher shop today and picked up a 17 pound brisket then I came home and watched your video I have part of my brisket in the oven with your recipe it does smell amazing. I am hoping to Can it. I’ve never cooked my meat before I’ve pressure canned it so I hope it works. Thanks for the recipe

@@Jeni_Gough I have it ready to can today. I didn’t have any red wine I never have left over wine 😀so I put in some balsamic vinegar for the acid. OMG was it good. I also did one piece with that slap ya momma seasoning it’s up there only better than apple bees brisket nachos.

Looks delicious! But, do I REALLY have to add the coke? I have never had soda (I"m 62) and I dislike anything sweet. Would omitting it make it more savory?
No, you can use 1/2 cup kerchup instead and cut the sugAr to two Tbsp. Add extra broth. 😀
