No joke, we nearly have the exact same predictions for the boo cup, but i had a different name lol. Personally i wouldnt be surprised if any potential dlc cups were hybrid cups like mario kart 8's original dlc. Overall great predictions! Id love to see these in the game
@AlphaDevil2018 my idea for the dlc is that it will be a mixture of the wii u dlc and the booster course pass. 6 waves of DLC but only 24 courses are retro, whereas the other 24 are new nitro tracks. Great minds think alike! Would be happy to see your list.
@@mdubz4295 Sure! I'd love to share my predictions! For the most part, I followed mostly the same rules you did, though I had a few more courses appearing that had already been remade since I didn't want the new game to have the feeling of 'just the leftovers,' and I had a couple of rule exceptions that I'll explain later. Shell Cup - Peach Circuit (GBA) - Daisy Hills (3DS) - Koopa Beach 1 (SNES) - Luigi's Mansion (DS) Banana Cup - Sunshine Airport (U) - Frappe Snowland (N64) - Delfino Square (DS) - Toad's Factory (Wii) Bell Cup - DK's Jungle Parkway (N64) - Vanilla Lake 2 (SNES) - Super Bell Subway (U) - Piranha Plant Pipeline (Tour) Faker Cup (fake item box) - Baby Park (GCN) - Coconut Mall (Wii) - Electrodrome (U) - Wario Stadium (N64) (Yes these are where the rule breaks are. I really feel that baby park would be perfect for the new game with 24 players, and I picked coconut mall so I had another Wii rep, and so I had one retro from base mk8 and the booster pass) Leaf Cup - Dry Dry Ruins (Wii) - Lakeside Park (GBA) - Wild Woods (U) - Mushroom City (GCN) Lightning Cup - Cloudtop Cruise (U) - Wario Shipyard (3DS) - Bowsers Castle (GCN) - Rainbow Road (GBA) Turnip Cup (dlc) - Luigi Circuit (Wii) - Shy Guy Bazaar (3DS) - new track - new track Boomerang Cup (dlc) - Wuhu Loop (3DS) - Cheep Cheep Island (GBA) - new course - new course Acorn Cup (dlc) - Yoshi Desert (GBA) - DK Pass (DS) - new course - new course Cherry Cup (dlc) (the one we matched!) - Mario Circuit 4 (SNES) - Dino Dino Jungle (GCN) - Banshee Boardwalk (N64) - new course Coin Cup (dlc) - Wario Colosseum (GCN) - new course - new course - new course Moon Cup (dlc) - new course - new course - Airship Fortress (DS) - Mute City (U) Sorry for the rant! I'm surprised we had similar ideas for the dlc as well, tho I personally think ONE crossover course would be cool as a finale to the dlc rather than another rainbow road. Happy to hear that you were interested!
@AlphaDevil2018 that's a great format. Seems very thought out. And perhaps I restricted myself too much. I don't know for sure what criteria they'll use. But I think if courses that already came back as retros come into this game, they'd be in the minority over ones that haven't, and that's what your list suggests.
@@mdubz4295 yeah, I don't really know either what they'll use. But I'm excited either way! Glad you like my list, and I think your predictions are great too
Fantastic predictions. For the base game, the only things I'm hesitant on is if Nintendo will add Wario Colosseum together with N64 Wario Stadium and the same goes for a SNES Ghost Valley plus Broken Pier.
@siamyshyguy considering we ended up with 96 tracks at the end of 8 Deluxe, I think they'll add more tracks than 32 in the base game. Thinking 24 nitro tracks and 24 retros.
I would say that this is pretty accurate and close to what we are likely to get. Like how you mostly used tracks that haven't been remade yet on the original retro tracks and put a lot of the tracks that haven't been remade since DS, Wii etc (plus some new remade tracks) in the DLC cup. A lot of fan favourites. I personally would be happy with this.
@lukeneilson9799 thank you for your input! I genuinely tried to be as objective and inclusive to tracks that haven't had much spotlight without clash of similarities. It was difficult and I definitely didn't perfect it. It took several days to get something I was content with.
Great predictions! My predictions are: Shell Cup: DS Figure 8 Circuit 3DS Daisy Hills SNES Ghost Valley 1 Wii Toads Factory Banana Cup: SNES Mario Circuit 4 GBA Cheep Cheep Island Wii U Toad Harbor 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar Plant Cup: Wii U Sunshine Airport 3DS Wario Shipyard Wii Dry Dry Ruins Tour Pirahna Plant Pipeline Leaf Cup: SNES Vanilla Lake 2 GCN Mushroom City GBA Lakeside Park N64 Wario Stadium Lightning Cup: Wii U Super Bell Subway 3DS Maka Wuhu GCN Bowsers Castle GBA Rainbow Road
No offense, but why is DS Bowser Castle in the leaf cup, especially when GCN Bowser Castle, a track that’s in the Lightning Cup, is also a track you predict. If I were you, I would replace GCN BC with DS BC, move SNES VL2 to Leaf Cup, and put another WII U Track in the Bell Cup Overall. Solid predictions
I appreciate the feedback. The priority for my list was to knock out as many tracks that haven't been used yet. So since Nintendo has decided not to reuse several BCs then DS BC and GCN BC have to exist together.
I don't think we'll see many wii U tracks, if any at all. There's not a lot they would graphically change I think we might see some RMX tracks to be fair I also think we'll see the variants idea from tour revisited. So a backwards version and a trick version so they don't have to make as many tracks GCN Rainbow road will probably be the rainbow road pick
With Switch 2 now on the horizon, here are my choices. 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar Wii Toad's Factory Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline GCN Wario Coliseum DS Airship Fortress N64 Banshee Boradwalk SNES Ghost Valley 3 If any potenial returning track from the DLC, here are these choices. SNES Bowser Castle 3 Tour Ninja Hideway GBA Sunset Wilds
There are tracks that haven't been remade since DS and Will (such as Bowser's Castle from 64) that could get a huge upgrade for Mario Kart 11 or whatever it is. Judging by Nintendo's history, I highly doubt that that game would be out until 2030 (assuming Switch 2's lifecycle is 5-6 years). By that point, Wii tracks and remakes would be 22 years old. I anticipate they will add DLC to Mario Kart X after 2-3 years of the base game being out.
I’d be very happy if this was made into a reality. Nice job!
Thank you! I think it's a fairly solid yet also objective lineup.

4:57 Already appeared in Mario Kart Wii as a retro track!
Yeah, the dlc allows for tracks that have already been brought back to reappear. But not any retro tracks from the entirety of mk8dx.
@ Oh. That was the DLC portion. Okay. Carry on.
Cloudtop Cruise is also my best pick for Lightning Cup!
And hey, 24 for your Base game prediction, that's wild, but hey, the more the merrier, right?

Great predictions! My predictions are:
Shell Cup:
DS Figure 8 Circuit
3DS Daisy Hills
SNES Ghost Valley 1
Wii Toads Factory
Banana Cup:
SNES Mario Circuit 4
GBA Cheep Cheep Island
Wii U Toad Harbor
3DS Shy Guy Bazaar
Plant Cup:
Wii U Sunshine Airport
3DS Wario Shipyard
Wii Dry Dry Ruins
Tour Pirahna Plant Pipeline
Leaf Cup:
SNES Vanilla Lake 2
GCN Mushroom City
GBA Lakeside Park
N64 Wario Stadium
Lightning Cup:
Wii U Super Bell Subway
3DS Maka Wuhu
GCN Bowsers Castle
GBA Rainbow Road
Maybe let’s not have a snes Mario circuit in the lightning cup. We don’t need another Wii
@ maybe it can be in the Banana Cup instead. But Mario Circuit 4 has the most difficulty out of all the snes Mario Circuit tracks
This is actually a nice list but I would love to also see ds luigi's mansion
@AlbertoTrejoJara too many unused ghost courses but yeah.

I'm not confident that this game will even have Retro Tracks.
Or at least, in the same setup as it used to have.
@@DjoingDalton I'm fairly confident we will. Scaling to 24 racers shouldn't be an issue imo.
I think Nintendo confirmed the next Mario kart is not MKX and actually MK9
With Switch 2 now on the horizon, here are my choices.
3DS Shy Guy Bazaar
Wii Toad's Factory
Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline
GCN Wario Coliseum
DS Airship Fortress
N64 Banshee Boradwalk
SNES Ghost Valley 3
If any potenial returning track from the DLC, here are these choices.
SNES Bowser Castle 3
Tour Ninja Hideway
GBA Sunset Wilds
If this ends up being the case with all these tracks coming back, then what will be left for the game after that for retro tracks?
@jakebarton2528 cheep cheep lagoon, 3ds bc, all 8 and 9 courses and they can cycle through the rest again
Oh ok, sounds good
