Forgot to clarify in the video, but I think Toad’s Factory would be saved for a DLC. Just like Coconut Mall for 8DX’s, Toad’s Factory can be the selling point. 🫡
The only change I'd make is Dry Dry Ruins for Toad's Factory. It's never been remade, not even in Tour, and we already have a desert course that, knowing how good base Mario Kart 8's GBA remakes were, gives me hope it'll be fantastic. Toad's Factory is a fan favorite and NEEDS to come back in the next Mario Kart game
I honestly think GBA should be the definitive Retro Rainbow Road of Mario Kart X. It's the next one chronologically following N64 in 8 and SNES in 7 prior. We have seen the ambition on what they're doing to GBA tracks lately, ever since the amount of what we got from Tour and the reimaginations of Ribbon Road, Cheese Land, Boo Lake, Riverside Park, etc. I hope that GBA's Rainbow Road gets the glow up it deserves.
Good video! You're punching above your subscriber count with the thought put in and overall quality. I do have to call two things into question. One is that Wii Mario Circuit is pretty similar to Figure 8 Circuit layout-wise, so putting in Luigi Circuit or Toad's Factory would probably be the way to go. The other thing is that double-dipping from a prior cup doesn't seem to be a big deal (hell, 7 had 3/4 of N64's Mushroom Cup), but it didn't cause any questionable decisions so I can't complain. Great work once again! Would love an evaporating Vanilla Lake :)
This may be a stretch but I think the next game is going to have a base of 48 if not 64 tracks. That way it can keep ip with MK8 deluxe and include more retros because as more games come out less retro tracks will be represented from each individual game.

While I would like DS Rainbow Road as the final track in MKX, since I grew up with it, I just don't see it happening. Why? Well because MK7 ended with SNES RR, and MK8 ended with N64 RR, so it feels very likely that MKX will end with GBA RR, as it seems nintendo is going in order with them

Actually Mario Kart 9 is going to be the 12th Installment of the Series because of Mario Kart Arcade GP and the Series Spin-off known as Diddy Kong Racing But I hope we get it by the time it's Mario's 45th Anniversary in 2026 and this time "NOTHING TOUR RELATED" because the Booster Course Pass isn't real DLC and I think every BCP track to return except for the Tour ones
Something that I want in this game is Koopa cape. I know it was in the Wii and in 8 delux but in delux it was done very dirty, and would like to see it return.
Personally, I would put Maka Wuhu before GBA Rainbow Road in Lightning Cup since Mario Kart Wii started a pattern of the last track in Star Cup 2 games after ie GCN DK Mountain, DS Airship Fortress, Wii Grumble Volcano etc.
agree with all except figure 8 circuit, if you want to terraform that track into something reminiscent of U mario circuit just port U mario circuit (although it's not a U track I'd pick personally)
Here are my picks: Shell Cup: • GCN Luigi Circuit • SNES Vanilla Lake • NSW Sweet Sweet Canyon • 3DS Wuhu Loop Banana Cup: • Wii Toad's Factory • DS Delfino Square • GCN Mushroom Bridge • GBA Bowser Castle Leaf Cup: • 3DS Mario Circuit • SNES Ghost Valley 3 • Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline • N64 Wario Stadium Bell Cup: • Wii Dry Dry Ruins • GCN Mushroom City • DS Airship Fortress • NSW Big Blue Lightning Cup: • N64 Jungle Parkway • Tour Bangkok Rush • GCN Bowser's Castle • GBA Rainbow Road Some extra stuff: • There are 2 tracks from each game, except for Double Dash, wich has 4 becouse *_yes._* • Every Cup ends with a 1 lap track: Wuhu Loop and Big Blue are self explanatory, 64 Wario Stadium and GBA Rainbow Road are going to be elongated, and GBA Bowser Castle is going to alternate between RMX, 2 and 3 with Kamek teleporting you as soon as you reach the finish line. • If there were DLC, 2 more retro cups would be added, containing one course from every game except GCN.
I hope we start with 48 tracks with 24 nitros and 24 retros. A BCP with 48 tracks should also happen. I hope it’s either that or include every single track in history.
Badass list, I agree with almost all your picks. I would personally swap out Wii Mario Circuit for Toad's Factory and then scrap Wuhu Loop for 3DS Mario Circuit, but aside from that I think it's a near perfect list. I'd maybe also add Luigi Circuit GBA and scrap SNES Choco Island. Finally I would personally do 4 8 Deluxe tracks because it seems like every prior game gets 4 retros, so mine would be Sunshine Airport, Mount Wario, Shy Guy Falls, and Cloudtop Cruise. So yeah I guess for me then no Ninja Hideaway
@@Pengu26 Thanks man! If either of us get anywhere close to the list you mentioned in the video or the ones I mentioned I would be super happy. I’m mainly just hoping they try to focus on retros that haven’t been made yet or ones that were retros way back in DS
I actually also made a list of what I thought made sense to bring back in the next game, however I have the original 16 retros rather than the 25 you put in Shell Cup: GCN Mushroom Bridge N64 Mario Raceway DS Delfino Square GBA Yoshi Desert Banana Cup: SNES Mario Circuit 4 Wii Toad’s Factory 3DS Wuhu Loop Wii U Mount Wario Leaf Cup: GBA Cheep Cheep Island Wii Dry Dry Ruins N64 Sherbet Land DS Airship Fortress Lightning Cup: SNES Ghost Valley 3 Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline Wii U Bowser’s Castle GCN Rainbow Road Looking back at this now, I realized I have 2 section courses in the Banana Cup so maybe swap out Mount Wario with something in the Leaf Cup and I think it’s an alright prediction
I think Nintendo is gonna be pretty picky with the MK8 tracks specifically because I don't think antigravity will return. It was a good idea, but it was executed as little more than a cheap gimmick, and people didn't really care for it all that much. That's why I think the MK8 retros will be Mount Wario along with some boring tracks no one cares about.
With the next Mario kart game, They gotta take a step away from the MK8 Band and create Completely different remixes to For Mario Kart X and Im sure With what ever Fanmade Course will return it will sure be awsome to hear these Remixes to.
Personally I would change DS rainbow road for the GBA one because mk7 have SNES rainbow road for the last track o the lightning cup and MK8 have N64 rainbow road so that would make so much sens that they pick the next entry Mario kart rainbow road?
For GBA, instead of CCI, I thought of GBA rainbow road because it has never been made and it has so much potential. Also, Toad’s factory has never been remade, so dry dry ruins is not the best choice.
There's a problem with your prediction. You have tracks that have the same theme. Yoshi Desert, Dry Dry Ruins, and maybe Shy Guy Bazaar are desert tracks. Choco Island and Sweet Sweet Canyon are sweet tracks. Vanilla Lake and Fappe Snowland are snow tracks. And Peach Beach and Cheep Cheep Island are beach/Island tracks. Also, I believe the next Mario Kart game will be titled "Mario Kart 9." Even if Tour is 9, I'm still believe it since numbers can be broken. Like, is Mario Kart Super Circuit sequel to Super Mario Kart or Mario Kart 64 or is it actually both. You can pretend that I said Mario Kart 10 or X instead of 9. Anyway, here's my "reasonable" prediction. 🐢 Shell Cup: 1/4 - (3DS) Daisy Hills 🌸 I think it make more sense to pair it with Figure-8 Circuit. 2/4 - (DS) Figure-8 Circuit 8️⃣ It might feel weird that this isn't the first track in the first cup. 3/4 - (Wii U) Sweet Sweet Canyon 🎂 4/4 - (Wii) Toad's Factory 🏭 🍌 Banana Cup: 1/4 - (SNES) Vanilla Lake ❄️ 2/4 - (3DS) Mario Circuit 🏰 3/4 - (Wii U) Twisted Mansion 👻 4/4 - (N64) Wario Stadium 🏟 🍂 Leaf Cup: 1/4 - (GCN) Mushroom City 🌃 2/4 - (Tour) Piranha Plant Pipeline 🪴 3/4 - (Wii) Dry Dry Ruins 🌵 4/4 - (Wii U) Cloudtop Cruise 🌩 ⚡️ Lightning Cup: 1/4 - (GCN) Wario Colosseum. 2/4 - (Wii U) Dolphin Shoals 🐬 I need a Star Cup track for the Lightning Cup. 3/4 - (DS) Bowser ('s) Castle 🔥 4/4 - (GBA) Rainbow Road 🌈 This might not be a lock on.
I'm sorry, but the fact you DIDN'T have DS Bowser's Castle REALLY bothers me Call me nostalgia blinded all you want, but you WON'T stop me from wanting that remade, since that one also hasn't been remade like GC Bowser's Castle Other than the obvious, the restof the choices were faiirly decent. Except Figure-8 Circuit..
Why did you chose Wii Mario Circuit over Wii Toad's Factory? Toad's Factory has never returned, not even in Tour, and has an unique theming. In my opinion, it's a far better choice than Wii Mario Circuit
Why both Bowser's castle and Rainbow Road from the same game? If they are from the same game they can't be in the same cup. Ever seen a retro cup with 2 tracks from the same game???
I just kinda wished we've gotten Honey Queen in the Booster Coarse Pass' final wave instead of Peachette. But don't get me wrong, I like Peachette! But I mean, y'know? Honey Queen??
- Shell Cup 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar WII Toad Factory 3DS Mario Circuit WII U Sunshine Airport ARC Diamond City - Banana Cup NSW Piranha Plant Cove DS Delfino Square NSW Yoshi’s Island Tour Singapore Speedway SNES Vanilla Lake - Bell Cup 3DS Wario Galleon GBA Cheep Cheep Island Tour Vancouver Velocity GCN Mushroom City WII U Wild Woods - Leaf Cup N64 Wario Stadium DS Airship Fortress NSW Squeaky Clean Sprint WII Dry Dry Ruins Tour Athens Dash - Lightning Cup GBA Lakeside Park WII U Super Bell Subway NSW Ninja Hideaway WII Bowser Castle GCN Rainbow Road *Warp Pipe Canyon (Piranha Plant Pipeline) will be a Nitro Course since the BCP labelled the non-city Tour courses as new originals
I personally hate changing courses with a passion. With the introduction of tour maps, map changes mid game gets annoying and hard for new players. To be honest the giant red arrows don't even do much and I still get lost in the track. I really hope Nintendo doesn't include this gimmick except for the tour courses itself.
awesome video, but i really wasn’t a fan of that weird swirly psychedelic transition that you used a whenever a new game cover was shown. it got pretty repetitive and honestly ended up hurting my eyes every time it came back aside from that though, great quality on the sound, editing, and course selection
Haven’t watched yet, but here’s my definitive and ideal Mario Kart X retro track selection: Shell cup: DS Figure-8 Circuit SNES Vanilla Lake 2 3DS Cheep Cheep Lagoon Wii Toad’s Factory Banana cup: Wii Mario Circuit GBA Yoshi Desert UNS Toad Harbor GCN Mushroom City Leaf cup: 3DS Wuhu Loop N64 Wario Stadium UNS Electrodrome GBA Bowser Castle 4 Lightning cup: UNS Cloudtop Cruise 3DS Wario Shipyard DS Bowser’s Castle GCN Rainbow Road Here’s the DLC tracks if they decide to do 4 cups again. In this order: Cup 1: GCN Mushroom Bridge DS Airship Fortress Cup 2: GBA Lakeside Park UNS Big Blue Cup 3: N64 Banshee Boardwalk 3DS Maka Wuhu Cup 4: Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline Wii Rainbow Road And lastly, here’s my retro Battle picks: GCN Tilt a Kart DS Tart Top Wii Funky Stadium UNS Urchin Underpass If you’re wondering what UNS stands for, it stands for Wii U/Nintendo Switch. I did this because, well primarily because Mario Kart 8 originates from Wii U, but is most well known and has lived most of its relevancy on Switch. So it makes sense to represent both. But it’s also practical because 8 Deluxe has some exclusive battle tracks that 8U didn’t. And since they’re both kinda the same game, it’d be strange to differentiate them like that.
Forgot to clarify in the video, but I think Toad’s Factory would be saved for a DLC. Just like Coconut Mall for 8DX’s, Toad’s Factory can be the selling point. 🫡

@@sephiroth2132 first lap it's RMX, then Kamek teleports you to 2 for the second lap, and the last lap would be 3.
@@brunolike8631 cool idea but no bc4? Does it not fit or what?
I hope we start with 48 tracks with 24 nitros and 24 retros. A BCP with 48 tracks should also happen. I hope it’s either that or include every single track in history.
Either outcome would be amazing! A BCP for the next game would be needed to top MK8, because it’ll be tricky otherwise
Thank you!! And interesting ideas. That 8DX track selection looks amazing 🔥
@@Pengu26 Thanks man! If either of us get anywhere close to the list you mentioned in the video or the ones I mentioned I would be super happy. I’m mainly just hoping they try to focus on retros that haven’t been made yet or ones that were retros way back in DS
I actually also made a list of what I thought made sense to bring back in the next game, however I have the original 16 retros rather than the 25 you put in
Shell Cup:
GCN Mushroom Bridge
N64 Mario Raceway
DS Delfino Square
GBA Yoshi Desert
Banana Cup:
SNES Mario Circuit 4
Wii Toad’s Factory
3DS Wuhu Loop
Wii U Mount Wario
Leaf Cup:
GBA Cheep Cheep Island
Wii Dry Dry Ruins
N64 Sherbet Land
DS Airship Fortress
Lightning Cup:
SNES Ghost Valley 3
Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline
Wii U Bowser’s Castle
GCN Rainbow Road
Looking back at this now, I realized I have 2 section courses in the Banana Cup so maybe swap out Mount Wario with something in the Leaf Cup and I think it’s an alright prediction
Nice picks!! That Banana Cup is phenomenal
@@Pengu26 Thank you! Just like Mario Kart 7’s Banana Cup 😁
If this game doesn’t have toad’s factory, I’m not buying it
fr
Cool, but you didn't say how the tracks were placed in the cups, can you tell me about it?
I didn’t really think about that yet but I will probably make a community post about it 😉
I think Nintendo is gonna be pretty picky with the MK8 tracks specifically because I don't think antigravity will return. It was a good idea, but it was executed as little more than a cheap gimmick, and people didn't really care for it all that much. That's why I think the MK8 retros will be Mount Wario along with some boring tracks no one cares about.
hell nah if CCIsland comes back it'll be the nerfed Tour version which is just horrendous
Oof😅
With the next Mario kart game, They gotta take a step away from the MK8 Band and create Completely different remixes to For Mario Kart X and Im sure With what ever Fanmade Course will return it will sure be awsome to hear these Remixes to.
So you’re saying they should use MIDI?
@Pengu26 Not Midi exactly, but a completely different Style, in other words different band with different arrangements to.
Personally I would change DS rainbow road for the GBA one because mk7 have SNES rainbow road for the last track o the lightning cup and MK8 have N64 rainbow road so that would make so much sens that they pick the next entry Mario kart rainbow road?
That’s an interesting catch
For GBA, instead of CCI, I thought of GBA rainbow road because it has never been made and it has so much potential. Also, Toad’s factory has never been remade, so dry dry ruins is not the best choice.
Courses who are already remade can't be a retro track in a new Mario kart game.
Mario kart Wii isn't recent at all!!
The game was released il 2009 (15y ago)
New! Super Mario Kart Switch
Shell Cup:
SNES Choco Island 1
GCN Muhsroom Bridge
3DS Mario Circuit
N64 Frappe Snowland
Banana Cup:
GBA Yoshi Desert
DS Luigi’s Mansion
Wii Toad’s Factory
WiiU Sunshine Airport
Ba-bomb Cup:
Tour Singapore Speedway
3DS Maka Wuhu
DS Delfino Square
GCN Wario Colosseum
Leaf Cup:
Wii Dry Dry Ruins
N64 Banshee Boardwalk
Tour Ninja Hideaway
WiiU Mount Wario
Egg Cup:
SNES Vanilla Lake 2
GCN Mushroom City
N64 Wario Stadium
DS Airship Fortress
Lightning Cup:
3DS Wario Shipyard
WiiU Electodrome
Wii Bowser’s Castle
GBA Rainbow Road
Love it!
Not having Coconut Mall is devious
It’s been in every game since Wii, it really doesn’t need to come back
Rip Toad Factory
No-one cares about him for some reason
🐢 Shell Cup:
1/4 - (3DS) Daisy Hills 🌸
I think it make more sense to pair it with Figure-8 Circuit.
2/4 - (DS) Figure-8 Circuit 8️⃣
It might feel weird that this isn't the first track in the first cup.
3/4 - (Wii U) Sweet Sweet Canyon 🎂
4/4 - (Wii) Toad's Factory 🏭
🍌 Banana Cup:
1/4 - (SNES) Vanilla Lake ❄️
2/4 - (3DS) Mario Circuit 🏰
3/4 - (Wii U) Twisted Mansion 👻
4/4 - (N64) Wario Stadium 🏟
🍂 Leaf Cup:
1/4 - (GCN) Mushroom City 🌃
2/4 - (Tour) Piranha Plant Pipeline 🪴
3/4 - (Wii) Dry Dry Ruins 🌵
4/4 - (Wii U) Cloudtop Cruise 🌩
⚡️ Lightning Cup:
1/4 - (GCN) Wario Colosseum.
2/4 - (Wii U) Dolphin Shoals 🐬
I need a Star Cup track for the Lightning Cup.
3/4 - (DS) Bowser ('s) Castle 🔥
4/4 - (GBA) Rainbow Road 🌈
This might not be a lock on.
Love the picks!
25 in the title is a typo. It should be 24 because 4 tracks are needed to be in each cup
I'm sorry, but the fact you DIDN'T have DS Bowser's Castle REALLY bothers me
Call me nostalgia blinded all you want, but you WON'T stop me from wanting that remade, since that one also hasn't been remade like GC Bowser's Castle
Other than the obvious, the restof the choices were faiirly decent.
Except Figure-8 Circuit..
Toad factory??
Why did you chose Wii Mario Circuit over Wii Toad's Factory?
Toad's Factory has never returned, not even in Tour, and has an unique theming.
In my opinion, it's a far better choice than Wii Mario Circuit
I had that on the list, but got rid of it because I feel like a lot of the fan favorite MKW tracks would be saved for DLC 😉
Why both Bowser's castle and Rainbow Road from the same game?
If they are from the same game they can't be in the same cup.
Ever seen a retro cup with 2 tracks from the same game???
he picked gcn bowsers castle and ds rainbow road
I think you were mistaken 😅
I just want Airship Fortress and Toad’s Factory, if MK10 doesnt have it (at leats Toad’s Factory) I'll be disappointed...
Why not Wii Toads Factory instead of Mario Circuit?
I just kinda wished we've gotten Honey Queen in the Booster Coarse Pass' final wave instead of Peachette. But don't get me wrong, I like Peachette! But I mean, y'know? Honey Queen??
I agree! They could have slotted Peachette with Toadette imo, like how some of the collab characters got merged for the extra bcp drivers
Pretty sure Choco Island 2 was in DS
I think we will see:
SNES:
Mario Circuit 4(Banana)
Choco Island 1(Shell)
Koopa Beach 1(DLC)
Vanilla Lake 2(Leaf)
N64:
Koopa Beach(Banana)
Wario Stadium(Leaf)
Frappe Snowland(DLC)
GBA:
Cheep Cheep Island(DLC)
Bowser Castle 4(Shell)
Rainbow Road(Last track of Lightning)
GCN:

And the Double Dash-Mode

Nice! I’ve been thinking the same about Pipeline tbh
Why tf no shy guy falls
My thoughts:

GBA Sky Garden
GBA Sunset Wilds
GBA Rainbow Road

Where is toad factory
I personally hate changing courses with a passion. With the introduction of tour maps, map changes mid game gets annoying and hard for new players. To be honest the giant red arrows don't even do much and I still get lost in the track. I really hope Nintendo doesn't include this gimmick except for the tour courses itself.
How is this the perfect list but didn't put in Toad's Factory? No offense, but how is this possible lol. THe rest of the picks are cool.
GBA Rainbow Road, not DS. Please!
IT WAS ACTUALLY GOOD UNTIL YOU SAID FIGURE 8 CIRCUIT.
Oof 😅
awesome video, but i really wasn’t a fan of that weird swirly psychedelic transition that you used a whenever a new game cover was shown. it got pretty repetitive and honestly ended up hurting my eyes every time it came back
aside from that though, great quality on the sound, editing, and course selection
Thank you and I’m really sorry to hear that! I will try to use that less in my future videos 😉
You know Nintendo is gonna imbalance the amount of retros in the next game
Cups of 5 makes no sense. There will either be 32 or 48 tracks, personally i'm leaning towards 32.
Watch the next game become Mario kart 8 ultra lol
That would objectively be the most hilarious and the saddest thing ever 😂
@@Pengu26 I mean it’s gonna happen and it’s the most Nintendo thing to do.
I think the new Nitro Cup would be the 1-UP Cup
@@generalcrab0009 The first three Nitros are the original Power-Ups, the 1-UP is the only other one to fit that theme
I also burst out laughing whenever I see silly person think that tour is mario kart 9. Thanks for the laughs, pal.
Haven’t watched yet, but here’s my definitive and ideal Mario Kart X retro track selection:
Shell cup:
DS Figure-8 Circuit
SNES Vanilla Lake 2
3DS Cheep Cheep Lagoon
Wii Toad’s Factory
Banana cup:
Wii Mario Circuit
GBA Yoshi Desert
UNS Toad Harbor
GCN Mushroom City
Leaf cup:
3DS Wuhu Loop
N64 Wario Stadium
UNS Electrodrome
GBA Bowser Castle 4
Lightning cup:
UNS Cloudtop Cruise
3DS Wario Shipyard
DS Bowser’s Castle
GCN Rainbow Road
Here’s the DLC tracks if they decide to do 4 cups again. In this order:
Cup 1:
GCN Mushroom Bridge
DS Airship Fortress
Cup 2:
GBA Lakeside Park
UNS Big Blue
Cup 3:
N64 Banshee Boardwalk
3DS Maka Wuhu
Cup 4:
Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline
Wii Rainbow Road
And lastly, here’s my retro Battle picks:
GCN Tilt a Kart
DS Tart Top
Wii Funky Stadium
UNS Urchin Underpass
If you’re wondering what UNS stands for, it stands for Wii U/Nintendo Switch.
These are good picks! I see quite a few that I predicted too :) and I like the UNS idea!
