I am on a "Classic" SUSD binge while sleeving my games right now... and really loving it. You guys are great now, but you guys were great before too, in a different way. And I really miss the energy that used to bounce between Quinns and Paul. Not to under appreciate Matt -- I love Matt's brand of energy too :)
Quinns: "We got Mark from Toronto, which is in a country called Canada." Paul: "Perfect! Europe. Great place to start." Very ironic considering where Paul lives currently. Have you found any moose, Paul?
Never understood why the sheriff had deputized people while drunk so that he forgot who when he sobered up. Prefer the dice game that came later, anyway. Plays faster, takes less space.
May I advise to add the name of the games into the title? Maybe at the end or something? I love the show, but only the season and episode doesn't really make me wanna watch it. :D
You can find them on Vimeo :) vimeo.com/36457402 As they say in the description they are having some copyright issues in certain countries and devices.
Yeah, player elimination is shitty, it's not a very nuanced social deduction game, and it's interminable. It's not the absolute worst game in the world, but it does kinda suck.
And that's fine; I won't, because I don't. You can have fun playing bad games, and it's not an attack on you or your judgement to say a game has bad mechanics. Tic-Tac-Toe, for example, is a bad game. Its choices are way too limited, and it's solved, such that the only outcome for even moderately skilled players is a draw. Yet, I grew up playing it because it requires a paper and a pen. Monopoly is a bad game. It's tedious, it takes forever, and one player will run away with it. It's also insanely popular, and I know a lot of people who will tell me how much they love monopoly. They're not wrong to love it, they're not bad, they just can have fun despite playing a game that is badly designed. Bang is a bad, or perhaps more fairly, not a good game. You might die early and then that's it. Hopefully you're in an environment where you can hop into another game, but if you aren't, time to check your phone for upwards of half an hour while your friends all have a good time. Frustratingly, even if you can jump into another game, there's cards in the expansion that MIGHT bring you back to life so you may have to hang around anyway. I'm not saying "throw bang in a garbage can". I'm not saying "you're wrong for liking bang". I'm not even saying "Bang can never be fun". Heck, I've enjoyed myself playing it before. What I'm saying is that Bang has mechanics that can be frustrating and disengaging, and that those mechanics could have been solved with more playtesting.
What you say (and I mostly agree) can be applied for almost every single game out there. Because it is a matter of personal judgement, opinion and likeness. So the correct way to say it would be "for ME bang is a bad game". And I would reply "ok, but for ME bang is a nice game to play". Everybody is happy.

"And how many Facebook likes?"
"7!"
"Thanks Mum"
90% of why I love these videos, wrapped up in 1 joke
I want to hear more about this Irish Poker at 17:32
SU&SD sometimes feels like a sitcom where they occasionally talk about board games
Paul: "Alright, so let's just not use Canada again...ever."
Paul, a few years later: moves to Canada
"And when you get it home, its not what you wanted"
Do NOT judge me, quinns!
The world is not quite the same as it was now i've seen Paul in a dress.
Irish poker looks fun.
I believe those heights on K2 are in meters, not feet. Just saying.

The only problem with this review is BANG sucks!
No it doesn't.

You don't like it , you don't play it. It's simple. I like it, I play it.
