Repairing the cracks on the exterior of our cinder block foundation

In this video we tackled some of the exterior cracks that we have on the foundation. Our basement/foundation is made from cinder blocks, so over time there have been some cracks that have developed in a "stair-stepping" fashion. We know the proper fix would be to dig down along the entire foundation, but thats not what we were prepared to do! In this video, we fixed some of the cracks that were more on the surface and only dug down about a foot.
This is what we used for the repair. It worked, but we probably would use a different formula if we had a do over.

the down pipe of the rain water contribute to the position of the tree roots which looking for water.

That would make sense! The tree had already been cut down when we bought the house, but there weren’t any extensions on the downspout. So, I am sure there was plenty of water over there for the tree. Thanks!

Looks great! Did you guys consider polyurethane injections and or adding a layer of tar after sealing the crack?

Thanks! I don’t think we ever really considered it. We were more concerned with fixing the grading around the house. I can say that all the repairs are holding up great and we haven’t experienced any leaks or issues with any of the repairs.
